In this paper, the moving least-squares (MLS) approximation and the interpolating moving least-squares (IMLS) method proposed by Lancaster are discussed first. A new method for deriving the MLS approximation is presented, and the IMLS method is improved. Compared with the IMLS method proposed by Lancaster, the shape function of the improved IMLS method in this paper is simpler so that the new method has higher computing efficiency. Then combining the shape function of the improved IMLS method with Galerkin weak form of the potential problem, the interpolating element-free Galerkin (IEFG) method for the two- dimensional potential problem is presented, and the corresponding formulae are obtained. Compared with the conventional element-free Galerkin (EFG) method, the boundary conditions can be applied directly in the IEFG method, which makes the computing efficiency higher. For the purposes of demonstration, some selected numerical examples are solved using the IEFG method.  相似文献

Abstract

Germany is one of the most important networks to cope the commercial transport on the continent due to its central geographic position in Europe. Therefore, there is a need for the assessment of innovations in pavement design and construction materials. Full-scale accelerated pavement tests (APT) are one of the most powerful tools to close the gap between laboratory testing and in situ tests under real traffic loads. Therefore, the German Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt) decided to get an APT device Pave®MLS30, which loads test sections with a rolling wheel. Several initial projects have been successfully completed. In 2016, the construction of the new testing and reference areal duraBASt will be completed. duraBASt is located inside of a large motorway cross section. Together with the available indoor testing facilities and the access to other test areas then high-standard full-scale testing infrastructures for answering a broad portfolio of different research questions on pavement engineering will be available.  相似文献

Enhanced carbon monoxide (CO) in the upper troposphere (UT) is shown by nearly collocated Tropospheric Emission Spectrometer (TES) and Microwave Limb Sounder (MLS) measurements near and down-wind from the known wildfire region of SE Australia from December 12th-19th, 2006. Enhanced ultraviolet (UV) aerosol index (AI) derived from the Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) measurements correlates with these high CO concentrations. The Hybrid Single Particle Langrangian Integrated Trajectory (HYSPLIT) model back trajectories trace selected air parcels, where TES observes enhanced CO in the upper and lower troposphere, to the SE Australia fire region as their initial location. Simultaneously, they show a lack of vertical advection along their tracks. TES retrieved CO vertical profiles in the higher and lower southern latitudes are examined together with the averaging kernels and show that TES CO retrievals are most sensitive at approximately 300-400 hPa. The enhanced CO observed by TES in the upper (215 hPa) and lower (681 hPa) troposphere are, therefore, influenced by mid-tropospheric CO. GEOS-Chem model simulations with an 8-day emission inventory, as the wildfire source over Australia, are sampled to the TES/MLS observation times and locations. These simulations only show CO enhancements in the lower troposphere near and down-wind from the wildfire region of SE Australia with drastic underestimates of UT CO plumes. Although CloudSat along-track ice-water content curtains are examined to see whether possible vertical convection events can explain the high UT CO values, sparse observations of collocated Aura CO and CloudSat along-track ice-water content measurements for the single event precludes any conclusive correlation. Vertical convection that uplifts the fire-induced CO (i.e., most notably referred to as pyro-cumulonimbus (pyroCb)) may provide an explanation for the incongruence between these simulations and the TES/MLS observations of enhanced CO in the UT.  相似文献

Recently, several numerical methods have been proposed for pricing options under jump-diffusion models but very few studies have been conducted using meshless methods [R. Chan and S. Hubbert, A numerical study of radial basis function based methods for options pricing under the one dimension jump-diffusion model, Tech. Rep., 2010; A. Saib, D. Tangman, and M. Bhuruth, A new radial basis functions method for pricing American options under Merton's jump-diffusion model, Int. J. Comput. Math. 89 (2012), pp. 1164–1185]. Indeed, only a strong form of meshless methods have been employed in these lectures. We propose the local weak form meshless methods for option pricing under Merton and Kou jump-diffusion models. Predominantly in this work we will focus on meshless local Petrov–Galerkin, local boundary integral equation methods based on moving least square approximation and local radial point interpolation based on Wendland's compactly supported radial basis functions. The key feature of this paper is applying a Richardson extrapolation technique on American option which is a free boundary problem to obtain a fixed boundary problem. Also the implicit–explicit time stepping scheme is employed for the time derivative which allows us to obtain a spars and banded linear system of equations. Numerical experiments are presented showing that the presented approaches are extremely accurate and fast.  相似文献
