The cover image illustrates the dual photovoltaic and electroluminescence function of a single‐layer device based on a thienylenevinylene–triphenylamine with internal charge transfer (ICT), as reported by Cravino, Roncali, and co‐workers on p. 3033. The material forms an organic glass with isotropic electronic properties while ICT leads simultaneously to an extension of the photoresponse to the red and to an increase of the open circuit voltage. Saw and digital technologies in mutlicarrier demodulators

One key technology, for the implementation of future on-board processing payloads, is the multicarrier demodulator (MCD). The MCD is instrumental in allowing FDMA/TDM access schemes which optimize the use of on-board and ground resources in VSAT networks. This paper deals with the analogue and digital implementations of MCD, trying to assess the fields of application of each of the two technologies.     

IR spectroscopic study of Pt/Kl zeolites using adsorption of CO as a molecular probe

FTIR spectra of CO adsorbed on Pt/KL catalysts show that the relative band intensities and the total dispersion markedly depend on the catalyst preparation method (ion exchange, incipient wetness impregnation or co-impregnation with KCl). The CO stretching frequency of the dominant band for linear CO is shifted to higher wavenumbers, parallel with the proton concentration in the reduced catalyst, which is derived independently from the intensity of the IR bands of the OH groups. The results are in accordance with the model that electron-deficient platinum particles are platinum-proton adducts.On leave from: N.D. Designing collaborative,constructionist and contextual applications for handheld devices

This paper explores current applications for handheld devices and questions which of these make full use of the unique attributes of handheld devices in order to facilitate learning in a pedagogically sensible manner. In order to do so, the paper presents a functional framework which analyses handheld application in relation to their use as well as the pedagogical underpinning, if any, that informs their development. Our framework currently consists of seven distinct categories of application, which we term: administrative, referential, interactive, microworld, data collection, location aware and collaborative. We argue that three categories, namely data collection, location aware and collaborative, are particularly suited to learning with handheld devices when they are informed by collaborative, contextual and constructionist learning theories. Furthermore, we contend that applications of the type just outlined deserve further research since they are not attempting to replicate, or even augment, existing learning scenarios but rather they try to create new learning opportunities which would not be possible without (mobile) technology. Finally, the authors introduce a number of applications and learning scenarios that they have developed for handheld devices and explain their position within the framework.

本文介绍了可编程增益放大器设计的方法。它主要由控制电路、放大电路、显示电路三大模块组成。该系统性能好、成本低、工作可靠,具有一定的工程应用价值,经测试表明,该设计基本上达到了设计的要求。     

基于SaaS的矿震远程预警系统关键技术初探

现有的矿震预警系统都是以独立形式运行于各矿区,相互之间没有关联,重复投资严重,且矿震数据海量繁杂,仅依靠现场分析无法满足实时预警需求。文章基于感知矿山物联网示范工程(夹河矿),对采用云计算SaaS模式构建的矿震远程预警系统关键技术进行了相关研究:首先给出了系统整体框架,然后重点探讨了该系统所涉及的三个关键技术,包括基于SaaS的矿震预警专家分析软件架构、多源SaaS数据库构建技术以及基于MapReduce的并发数据过滤接收技术。现场应用表明,所构建的系统已基本具备全国统一远程矿震预警系统的架构,能满足多矿区远程矿震预警的基本要求。
