Embedding direct reduction followed by magnetic separation was conducted to fully recover iron and titanium separately from beach titanomagnetite(TTM).The influences of reduction conditions,such as molar ratio of C to Fe,reduction time,and reduction temperature,were studied.The results showed that the TTM concentrate was reduced to iron and iron-titanium oxides,depending on the reduction time,and the reduction sequence at 1 200°C was suggested as follows:Fe_(2.75)Ti_(0.25)O_4→Fe_2TiO_4→FeTiO_3→FeTi_2O_5.The reduction temperature played a considerable role in the reduction of TTM concentrates.Increasing temperature from 1 100 to 1 200°C was beneficial to recovering titanium and iron,whereas the results deteriorated as temperature increased further.The results of X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy analyses showed that low temperature(≤1 100°C)was unfavorable for the gasification of reductant,resulting in insufficient reducing atmosphere in the reduction process.The molten phase was formed at high temperatures of 1 250-1 300°C,which accelerated the migration rate of metallic particles and suppressed the diffusion of reduction gas,resulting in poor reduction.The optimum conditions for reducing TTM concentrate are as follows:molar ratio of C to Fe of 1.68,reduction time of 150 min,and reduction temperature of 1 200°C.Under these conditions,direct reduction iron powder,assaying 90.28 mass%TFe and 1.73 mass% TiO_2 with iron recovery of 90.85%,and titanium concentrate,assaying 46.24mass% TiO_2 with TiO_2 recovery of 91.15%,were obtained.  相似文献

Hydrogen (H2) energy is a promising candidate to replace carbon monoxide (CO) as a reductant for iron oxide reduction in revolutionary ironmaking industrial processes, and numerous studies have been conducted to intensively study the utilization and impact of H2 in ironmaking processes. Therefore, this review first collects and compares the H2-assisted reduction mechanism and kinetics. The impacts of H2 on the reduction accompanying behaviors, such as the disintegration, swelling, sticking, softening, and melting of iron ores, are then summarized. Third, the performance of H2 predicted by either mass and heat balance models or numerical simulation models in various ironmaking processes is highlighted. Finally, the different applications of hydrogen-rich materials in blast furnace and non-blast furnace ironmaking processes are further compared to illuminate H2 utilization before our outlook on the use of H2 in the ironmaking industry.  相似文献

When applied to transportation systems, fuel cell structures are exposed to external mechanical disturbance including shocks and harmonic excitations from operating components. To minimize performance degradation from machine operations, the fuel cell structure needs to be examined via vibration reliability tests. In this study, the reduction in the clamping force of the stack by random vibrations was investigated by experiments. The stack mass and gasket were clamped with bolts for vibration tests. The vibration induced shear movements between clamped stacks. To estimate the vibration input magnitudes, the Dirlik method was used. The reduction in the stack clamping force was estimated using the Basquin's power law. The clamping force decreased by the shear vibration input to the stack structure. The degree of clamping force reduction was larger for the heavier stack. When the stacks were separated by the gasket the reduction became smaller. Through the Dirlik method, the vibration reliability of the stack was evaluated. This information provides severity of the external vibration on the stack functionality.  相似文献

Soil column is often investigated in the improvement of dredged slurries. Different from the smear zone, the soil column forms gradually and has extremely low permeability. This study presents an analytical solution for soil consolidation considering the increasing radius of the soil column and time-dependent discharge capacity. Based on the solution, the influence of the radius' increase on the consolidation behavior is found significant when the soil column has low permeability and large final radius, and the increase of formation time can lead to the increase of consolidation speed and final consolidation degree.  相似文献

The last decades have seen a number of liquid metal experiments on the interaction of magnetic fields with the flow of electrically conducting fluids. The opaqueness of liquid metals requires non-optical methods for inferring the velocity structure of the flow. Quite often, such experiments are carried out in the presence of high electrical currents to generate the necessary magnetic fields. Depending on the specific purpose, these currents can reach several kiloamperes. The utilized switching mode power supply can then influence seriously the measurement system by electromagnetic interference. A recent experiment on the azimuthal magnetorotational instability (AMRI) has shown that a hydrodynamically stable Taylor–Couette flow becomes unstable under the influence of a high azimuthal magnetic field. An electrical current along the axis of the experiment with up to 20 kA generates the necessary field to destabilize the flow. We present experimental results of this AMRI experiment carried out at the PROMISE facility with an enhanced power supply. For this setup, we discuss the elaborate measures that were needed to obtain a reasonable signal-to-noise ratio of the ultrasonic Doppler velocimetry (UDV) system. In dependence on various parameter variations, some typical features of the observed instability, such as the energy content, the wavelength, and the frequency are analyzed and compared with theoretical predictions.  相似文献

Abstract

In the current work the reactions of magnetite based pellets with large additions of calcite (3%CaO) during reduction have been investigated. This made it possible to use both X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to detect reaction phases that normally occur in very small amounts. The main binding phase in the pellets after oxidation was (CaO,MgO,FeO)4(Fe2O3)7, whereas the one commonly reported in the literature is (CaO)(Fe2O3)2. During reduction at 500–700°C severe cracking occurred in these pellets, especially in the calcium ferrite phase. However, the decomposition of this phase began at 600°C, and therefore it is believed that the reason for the cracks is low strength of the phase itself, rather than weakness induced by reduction of the phase. Upon reduction of magnetite into wüstite at 800°C, the calcium began dissolving in the wüstite, and at 900°C porous calciowüstite had formed in the entire sample, except for some remaining magnetite left in the pellet cores.  相似文献

This paper proposes to reduce the quantization noise using a periodic code, derives a condition for achieving an improvement on the signal to noise ratio (SNR) performance, and proposes an optimal design for the periodic code. To reduce the quantization noise, oversampled input signals are first multiplied by the periodic code and then quantized via a quantizer. The signals are reconstructed via multiplying the quantized signals by the same periodic code and then passing through an ideal lowpass filter. To derive the condition for achieving an improvement on the SNR performance, first the quantization operator is modeled by a deterministic polynomial function. The coefficients in the polynomial function are defined in such a way that the total energy difference between the quantization function and the polynomial function is minimized subject to a specification on the upper bound of the absolute difference. This problem is actually a semi-infinite programming problem and our recently proposed dual parameterization method is employed for finding the globally optimal solution. Second, the condition for improving the SNR performance is derived via a frequency domain formulation. To optimally design the periodic code such that the SNR performance is maximized, a modified gradient descent method that can avoid the obtained solution to be trapped in a locally optimal point and guarantee its convergence is proposed. Computer numerical simulation results show that the proposed system could achieve a significant improvement compared to existing systems such as the conventional system without multiplying to the periodic code, the system with an additive dithering and a first order sigma delta modulator.  相似文献

This paper proposes a methodology to improve the sustainability of industrial processes combining two tools: BAT Analysis and process simulation. Both tools are jointly applied to identify the IF of the analyzed process, so that the most appropriate candidate techniques from an inventory can be selected. The selected alternatives are tested in different scenarios that are evaluated using simulation, which would determine the configuration that best improves the sustainability of the process. The combination of both tools in an integrated methodology will help decision makers to select the most sustainable configuration for a given process. The methodology is validated in a case study: a hydrogen production plant. After analysing several scenarios where different candidate techniques are implemented, results show that the IF identified can be highly improved when the appropriate combination of BAT is applied.  相似文献

As the sulfide ore deposits become less economically viable as a source of nickel, increasing attention is being paid to the nickeliferous laterite ores. However, in contrast to the sulfide ores, these oxide ores cannot be as easily concentrated by current technologies. Consequently, considerable research effort is being directed at developing new techniques for beneficiating the nickeliferous laterites. The pyrometallurgical production of a high-grade ferronickel alloy using a low cost carbonaceous reductant at relatively low temperatures is particularly attractive. In the current research, a thermodynamic model has been developed to aid in the understanding of the carbothermic reduction roasting process as a potential upgrading method for the nickeliferous limonitic laterite ores. The effects of process parameters such as temperature and reductant to ore ratio on the grade of the ferronickel alloy produced and the nickel recovery in the alloy have been studied. The thermodynamic predictions are shown to be in general agreement with the experimental results currently available in the literature.  相似文献
