A process simulation model was constructed for a 2 ton h−1 incinerator. The simulation model was designed to provide system performance parameters according to various operating conditions. In accommodating the wide variation of quality and composition of input wastes, the plant operating parameters such as amount of excess air, preheated air temperature, waste feed rate and primary air distribution over the stoker, etc. must be carefully controlled. The proposed model calculates operating variables of each submodule, by employing steady-state thermal and material balance equations. Combustion of waste bed, and its radiative heat transfer in the combusion chamber are considered. The calculated results of the combustion chamber performance are evaluated, in terms of temperature, locations and width of the flame band, and mean residence time in the secondary combustion chamber. These results are compared with a limited set of field test measurements for verification of the model. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

研究某危险废物焚烧炉烟气中二恶英气固相分配特征.结果表明,布袋除尘器入口烟气中二恶英气固相分配如下:气相二恶英的质量分数平均为62%,固相为38%;气相的毒性当量质量分数平均为76%,固相为24%.各异构体气相质量分数(即每个异构体气相部分质量浓度占该异构体气、固相总质量浓度的百分比)随氯代数的增加而降低,即高氯代异构体更多地附着于飞灰上,低氯代异构体则更多地分布于气相中;气相质量分数的变化趋势基本与蒸汽压相符,表明蒸汽压是决定焚烧烟气中二恶英各异构体气固相分配的主要因素之一.  相似文献

Refused tea is a waste product of tea processing. Manufacturing of biochar from organic waste is an emerging technology where biochar can be used as a soil amendment for environmental remediation and carbon sequestration. As such the aim of this study was to determine the optimum pyrolysis conditions in producing refuse tea biochar for the said uses. Three refused tea samples were collected randomly from the bulk from tea processing factory in Gampola area of Sri Lanka and basic physical and proximate analysis were done. Initially, refused tea was packed tightly in the pyrolytic reactor which was designed to pyrolysis refused tea and pyrolysis was carried out by using five combinations of temperature (300, 350, 400, 450, 500 oC) and four retention times (15 min, 30 min, 45 min and 1 hour). The physical and chemical characteristics of biochar were analysed in line with the biochar quality standards proposed by International Biochar Initiatives (IBI). Results showed that the yield of biochar varied with the residence time for a given temperature treatment. The chemical, physical and morphological properties of biochar are largely influenced by the residence time for a given temperature treatment. Temperatures between 450oC and 500oC, and residence time between 45 and 60 minutes showed the highest biochar mass recovery. This research revealed that refuse tea can be effectively converted to biochar between 450 to 500 oC temperatures subjected to a residence time of 45 to 60 minutes. It also showed that higher volatilization rates at optimum temperature and residence time combination can be positively used for up scaling the pyrolysis reactor.  相似文献

A simulator for a refuse collecting system is designed to investigate the performance characteristics of a turbo blower operating at different rotational frequencies. The simulator consists of an air intake, a waste chute, circular duct, waste collector and turbo blower. Experimental measurements and numerical simulation with three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations have been performed to analyze the performance of the turbo blower. Throughout numerical simulation of the simulator, it is found that the input energy of the blower can be reduced by controlling the rotational frequency of impeller while the efficiency of the blower keeps constant. The required outlet pressure and flow rate of the blower can be also adjusted along the system resistance of the refuse collecting system. Detailed flow characteristics inside the blower are analyzed for different rotational frequencies.
