Further advances in Thermal Barrier Coating (TBC) design are linked with the evolution of numerical models for TBCs. The present paper, therefore, enhances the idea of a currently available FEM package (OOF) that has been designed for microstructural level simulations. The approach of Extended FEM (XFEM) is incorporated in an in-house developed program to account for the existence of cracks in TBCs; both for stress-strain analysis and for heat transfer analysis. The new XFEM program is then employed to carry out the analyses of a YSZ deposit and a multilayered TBC to predict the effective Young's moduli, the overall thermal conductivities, and to assess the fracture behavior of the coating.  相似文献

This article describes the investigation of a new generation of vacuum plasma sprayed CoNiCrAlY coatings on NiCr20Ti in the sprayed as well as the laser-treated condition. The aim of the study was the improvement of MCrAlY coating properties by modifying the microstructure through laser remelting with 5-kW Co2: lasers. Parameter analysis and optimization was carried out for the vacuum plasma spraying process, as well as for the laser remelting technique. The effect of the laser treatment on microstructure, quality of the coatings, and oxidation as well as hot gas corrosion behavior are reported.  相似文献

等离子熔积无模成形是急速加热快速凝固的短流程制造技术,如何避免制件的热裂纹是该技术的关键,而热裂纹的产生取决于成形过程温度场与应力场的分布特征.用有限元法对预热和水冷两种温控方案进行了模拟仿真,对比分析可知,较预热成形,水冷成形零件表面质量良好、热裂倾向低.随后依水冷条件按跳跃路径计算了叶轮成形过程的热应力场.结果表明,该方案所得零件的温度场较均匀,热应力和热裂倾向显著降低,工艺合理,有利提高成形性.  相似文献

The families of titanium aluminide intermetallic alloys have attractive high temperature mechanical properties which make them potential candidate materials for a wide range of applications, particularly in the aeronautic and automobile sectors. The development of appropriate manufacturing techniques is an essential stage in the engineering exploitation of these materials, e.g., Induction Skull Melting is one of the techniques which needs to be optimised for the casting of titanium aluminides. Research is underway to develop a computer model of this process but data are required for the key thermophysical properties. Pulse-heating techniques have been used to measure properties for the Ti–44Al–8Nb–1B system. Rectangular samples have been prepared and are resistively heated as part of a fast capacitor discharge circuit. Time-resolved measurements with sub-μs resolution of currents through the specimen were made with a Pearson probe current monitor using the induction principle. Voltages across the specimen were determined with knife-edge contacts and voltage dividers, and radiance temperatures of the sample were measured with a pyrometer. These measurements allow the calculation of specific heat and dependencies between enthalpy, electrical resistivity and temperature of the alloy up into the liquid phase. Data for thermal diffusivity have been obtained by using the Wiedeman–Franz relation. The results are compared with those obtained using DSC and the four-probe method to measure the temperature dependence of the resistivity.  相似文献

During the Physical Vapour Deposition of coatings, the orientation of cemented carbides insert surfaces to the plasma flux direction affects the occurring film thickness distribution on the rake and flank, which in turn might influence the wear propagation in cutting processes. In the present paper the cutting performance in milling of PVD coated cemented carbides inserts with variable film thickness on the rake and flank is introduced and with the aid of FEM-supported calculations explained. The investigation results revealed that a thicker film on the tool rake in comparison to the existing one on the flank and moreover a thick and uniformly deposited film in the cutting wedge region significantly enhances the cutting performance in milling.  相似文献

铸件在铸造凝固过程中热应力场及热裂的数值模拟在实际的生产实践中起着十分重要的作用。本文综合国内外对铸造凝固过程中热应力及热裂数值模拟研究的现状,结合中北大学铸造工程研究中心的实际情况,指出了今后的研究方向和重点:建立适合铸造过程应力场数值模拟的模型,采用有限元软件ANSYS实现铸件热应力场的模拟分析,并计算残余应力。  相似文献

This paper deals with the optimization of process parameters for maximum productivity (given by the product of scanning velocity and cross feed) in laser transformation hardening. The process parameters considered are laser beam power, P; laser beam diameter, Db; and the heat intensity distribution, namely, normal, bimodal, or uniform. A thermal analysis of the laser surface transformation hardening of gears was conducted (based on Jaeger’s classical moving heat source method) by considering the laser beam as a moving plane (disc) heat source to establish the temperature rise distribution in the workpiece (gear) of finite width. In a recent investigation [Int. J. Heat Mass Transfer 44 (2001) 2845], the authors considered the case of a heat source with a pseudo-Gaussian (or normal) distribution of heat intensity. The analytical results were compared with the experimental results published in the literature. In laser heat treatment of steel, it is generally considered preferable to use a wider heat intensity distribution, such as uniform or bimodal, for it enables more uniform case hardening depth. In this paper, this model is extended to cover bimodal and uniform distributions and compared with the normal distribution. Scanning velocities for no surface melting and for a case hardening depth of 0.1 mm were determined for surface transformation hardening of AISI 1036 (EN 8) steel for a range of laser beam powers, P, laser beam diameters, Db, and various heat intensity distributions. Since diffusion during the heat treatment (surface transformation hardening) process is a time dependent phenomenon, based on the literature review, an interaction time of 15 ms was taken as a basis. It is hoped that laser industry with adequate facilities available can validate the thermal analysis and subsequent optimization presented in this paper.  相似文献

用微等离子体氧化方法在LY12铝合金表面制备了一层氧化陶瓷膜,然后用加热一淬冷的方法进行抗热震试验,研究了电流密度对陶瓷膜抗热震性能的影响,并结合SEM、XRD等手段对试验现象和膜层的结合强度进行了分析。结果表明:随着电流密度的增加,陶瓷膜的抗热震性能降低。  相似文献
