The dimensional measurement of microsystem components is a field of application that is gaining more and more importance. While optical probing systems offer a number of advantages, their performance is strongly affected by the varying optical properties of the measured surfaces. For this reason, tactile probing systems are essential to many fields of micrometrology. Since conventional tactile probing systems are not suitable for the measurement of microparts, there is a demand for new tactile probing systems that are specifically adapted to the requirements of micrometrology. The tactile–optical Werth Fiber Probe is an established solution within this scope of application. In the present paper, two recent approaches to adding full 3D capabilities to the fiber probe principle are proposed. Touch screen input keys compete with other information for limited screen space. The present study estimated the smallest key size that would not degrade performance or user satisfaction. Twenty participants used finger touches to enter one, four or 10 digits in a numeric keypad displayed on a capacitive touch screen, while standing in front of a touch screen kiosk. Key size (10, 15, 20, 25 mm square) and edge-to-edge key spacing (1, 3 mm) were factorially combined. Performance was evaluated with response time and errors, and user preferences were obtained. Spacing had no measurable effects. Entry times were longer and errors were higher for smaller key sizes, but no significant differences were found between key sizes of 20 and 25 mm. Participants also preferred 20 mm keys to smaller keys, and they were indifferent between 20 and 25 mm keys. Therefore, a key size of 20 mm was found to be sufficiently large for land-on key entry. 相似文献

Systematic errors due to the pre-travel variation and the probe tip shape are irreducible to the traditional touch trigger probing systems. This paper describes the development of a probing system based on five-dimensional force/torque transducer for coordinate measuring machines. The compensation for pre-travel variation is accomplished through the five-dimensional force/torque information acquired by the integrated transducer and the stiffness matrix of the stylus. From the relationship between the obtained force/torque information and the geometrical shape equation, coordinates of the exact contact point immune from the contact error are acquired.
