ESBC: an application for computing stabilization bounds

We describe the application ESBC to perform the timing analysis of a combinatorial circuit. The circuit is described by formulas of Classical Logic and the delays of propagation of the signals in a gate are represented by a kind of valuation form semantics. ESBC computes the exact stabilization times at which the output signals stabilize.

介绍某放射性废物填埋场的废物搬迁及污染土壤清理后根据HJ53-2000对土壤中剩余放射性核素的剂量贡献进行计算所遇到的问题及处理方法，如本底值的确定、剩余核素水平的计算、剂量约束值的选择等。其目的是说阴在应用标准时，应具体问题具体分析，以使实践既能满足辐射防护的要求又能节约搬迁成本。     

Valuation method for effects of hot stamping process parameters on product properties using hot forming simulator

Hot stamping is one of the hot forming processes for manufacturing products of lightweight construction such as lightweight vehicles. Knowledge on the characteristics of the hot stamping process is significant in designing and optimizing the process conditions, dies and tools; however, until now, the characteristics of this process, such as the relationships between a product property and die temperature and between a product property and cooling rate, and the springback amount, have not been clarified consistently or precisely. A new valuation method used to measure the effects of hot stamping conditions on product properties as a function of process parameters is proposed in this paper. This method utilizes a hot forming simulator, which is a precision press with feedback temperature control and controlled cooling, and permits to know the various characteristics of the hot stamping process. Here, the basic construction of the proposed method is presented, and its application to the characterization of the hot stamping process of high-strength steel sheets, such as an evaluation of the changes in product properties upon varying the forming conditions and process parameters, is shown and discussed.     

A review on the economics of underground space utilization

The necessity for modern cities to develop efficient infrastructure continues to bring forth the options for a systematic utilization of the subsurface space. Nevertheless, the economics of underground space utilization are a key parameter for the adoption of such kind of functions and infrastructure over traditional surface solutions. The paper attempts to enlighten the current trends of the modern underground industry and, furthermore, reviews the construction cost levels for various infrastructure types. Finally, since an important part of the economic benefits of underground structures are latent and are associated with social and environmental externalities, the paper analyzes the principles of environmental economics and presents case examples where such benefits are expressed in monetary terms.     

浅谈定额计价方法与工程量清单计价方法的区别

定额计价方法和工程量清单计价方法是我国建设市场发展过程中不同阶段形成的二种计价方法。本文从价格的表现形式、单位工程项目划分、编制工程量的主体、计价依据、施工措施性消耗纳入位置、工程量计算规则和合同价格的调整方式等方面分析了定额计价方法和工程量清单计价方法的不同表现。提出工程量清单计价的本质是要改变政府定价模式,建立起"市场形成造价"机制,是促进优质企业做大做强,创造管理规范、竞争有序的建设市场的关键措施。     

Valuation for the Strategic Management of Research and Development Projects: The Deferral Option

Abstract:

The most widely used financial technique for evaluating projects is discounted cash flow; however, discounted cash flow analysis fails to consider flexibility. Real options analysis offers an alternative technique that provides value for the managerial flexibility that is inherent in most R&D projects. This article investigates the deferral option using computer simulation. There are five variables that determine the value of the deferral option, and simulations analyze these variables over a wide range of conditions. Sensitivity analysis on the five variables is performed and the results are discussed.

A financial model of flexible manufacturing systems planning under uncertainty: identification,valuation and applications of real options

Flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) have been considered to be essential for manufacturers to succeed in the uncertain market place. Flexibility typically comes at a price and is only valuable as a hedge against environmental uncertainty. It is important to determine an appropriate level of flexibility in the production system while considering the tradeoffs between its costs and benefits. This paper proposes to apply a real option theoretic approach to the modeling and analysis of various types of uncertainty involved in an FMS's operational environment. In comparison with financial options, real options in the context of an FMS, namely, production options, are identified and accordingly a pricing model for production options is proposed based on the option theory. Based on the valuation of production options, a general framework of flexibility planning is formulated. The real option approach surmounts traditional discounted cash flow analysis based valuation methods that tend to ignore the upside potentials to an investment from management flexibility. The proposed model is tested in a refrigerator company that deals with high product variety and uncertain demand.
