Solar ponds in alkaline lake and oil well regions

Solar ponds are probably the simplest technology available for the useful conversion of solar energy. The basic technology is proven. Solar ponds have been shown to be technically feasible and economically viable for many applications, particularly for thermal use. The electrical conversion and use of solar energy via solar ponds is still questionable, in general, for economic viability. By putting the untapped sources together in the South Plains region, it looks promising economically both for thermal and electrical conversions and applications. There are a number of alkaline lake basins randomly scattered in the South Plains region of the U.S.A. In that area, there are thousands of crude oil producing wells that produce brine in abundance. The selection of suitable alkaline lake basins as a solar pond site and as depository sites of brine from oil wells and the using of this brine and salty water from alkaline lakes makes the solar pond economically viable for both thermal and electrical demands in the area.     

Electrical and optical properties of MoO3-V2O5 mixed oxide films

Vacuum deposited MoO₃-V₂O₅ films of different molar concentrations have been used for DC electrical conductivity studies at different temperatures. The optical absorption spectra of MoO₃-V₂O₅ films of different molar concentrations have been measured. From these measurements it is found that optical band gap and activation energy vary with molar concentration of MoO₃-V₂O₅ films.     

富Ag的Ag—Cu合金再结晶

用度测量、示差扫描量热（ＤＳＣ）、金相显微镜、透射电镜等技术研究了富Ａｇ的Ａｇ－Ｃｕ合金的再结晶。对合金再结晶温室随Ｃｕ含量的变化规律以及在相同变形量下，Ｃｕ含量对合金再结晶过程中冷加工储存能的释放的影响进行探索，并讨论了结果。     

环境湿度对贮存树脂的影响EI

通过对中温固化环氧树脂ＤＳＣ、扭辫分析、凝胶时间、粘度、力学性能的测定，固化反应活化能的计算，研究了在贮存树脂的过程中环境湿度对树脂的固化反应和性能的影响。     

三脉冲不等强度激光片光源的研制及应用

本文报道了最近研制成功三脉冲不等强度调Q红宝石激光片光源系统.利用小颗粒对片光源90°方向的散射光对动态颗粒场进行高速摄影,从底片中能够精确直观地判断微小颗粒的瞬时分布、运动方向、速度和加速度情况.     

The relationship between denitrifying bacteria and methanogenic bacteria in a mixed culture system of acclimated sludges

The interaction between denitrification and methanogenesis, with methanol functioning as an electron donor, has been examined through usage of a mixed culture system of denitrifying sludge and methanogenic sludge in an anaerobic bioreactor. Competition for methanol between these two kinds of biocommunity could not be observed, whereas methanogenesis was suppressed as long as nitrate and nitrite were made available in the mixed system. The inhibition of methanogenesis in the methanogenic sludge caused by nitrogen oxides was studied. The redox potential (E_h) of the culture was monitored and/or controlled for the sake of characterizing the behavior of the biocommunities. An addition of nitrite elevated the E_h of the culture less than nitrate did. Nitrite addition, however, exerted a stronger inhibitory effect on methanogenesis as compared to nitrate at the same concentration. The influence of redox potential on the methanation of methanol was examined by using a methanogenic sludge in the E_h-stat batch culture. The hypothesis that the inhibitory effect being expressed by the nitrogen oxides is not simply attributed to an elevation of the redox potential of the culture is supported by the experimental results. The toxic effect of the nitrogen oxides themselves could also have possibly contributed significantly.

我厂为重油部分氧化法，激冷工艺，设计年产合成氨１０万吨，主要产品为硝铵、纯碱等。本文总结了近年来对我厂工艺、设备进行了多处技术改造，使合成氨产量不断增加，总能耗逐年下降．经济效益十分可观。     

The UK Renewable Energy programme

The UK Government has supported a programme on Renewable Energy since 1975. In 1988 progress was reviewed and this led to some redirection of the programme with greater emphasis on the commercial development of renewables, as published in Energy Paper 55.The climate in which Renewable Energy operates has been influenced recently by a number of factors including privatisation of the UK electricity supply industry, when the Government introduced the New Fossil Fuel Obligation and publication of the Government's 1990 White Paper on the Environment which noted that the Government is working towards a figure of new renewable energy generating capacity of 1000 MW by 2000.The paper aims to give an overview of the present state of development of the renewable technologies in the UK and to discuss some of the factors - technical and non-technical - which will affect their likely future development.     

高能粒子辐照对零膨胀微晶玻璃光学性质和面形光学稳定性的影响

研究了高能电子，高能质子对ＶＯ２微晶玻璃辐照前后光性质和面形光学稳定性的影响，研究结果表明，高能电子辐照能引起微晶玻璃面形明显变化，且使ＶＯ２微晶玻璃强烈着色。高能质子辐照没引起面形明显变化，高能质子辐照对反射光谱特性没有影响。
