In order to study the production of porous silica compacts by the combustion of rice husk ash (RHA) for tundish lining, the experimental design technique was used to evaluate the effect of firing temperature, soaking time and compaction pressure on controlling both the porosity degree and compressive strength of rice husk ash compacts. The results revealed that while the porosity degree of the compacts decreased with the increase in the entire studied parameters, the compressive strength exhibited another trend especially at a lower soaking time. At a lower soaking time, the increase in firing temperature led to a slight decrease in compressive strength and then increasing thereafter. The porous silica compacts having 30% porosity and 〉 2.5 MPa compressive strength suitable for tundish lining could be obtained from the combustion of rice husk ash compacts. 相似文献

A nozzle clogging online forecasting model based on hydrodynamics engineering was developed, in which the actual flow rate was calculated from the mold width, thickness, and casting speed. There is a linear relationship between the theoretical flow rate and the slide gate opening ratio as the molten steel level, argon flow rate, and the top slag weight are kept constant, and the relationship can be obtained by regression of the data collected at the beginning of the first heat in each casting sequence when the nozzle clogging does not occur. Then, during the casting, the theoretical flow rate can be calculated at intervals of one second. Comparing the theoretical flow rate with the actual flow rate, the online nozzle clogging ratio can be obtained at intervals of one second. The computer model based on the conception of the nozzle clogging ratio can display the degree of the nozzle clogging intuitively. 相似文献

结合某公司双冲击点板坯中间包生产现状,利用水模实验对中间包内钢水流动特性进行了研究.结果表明:原中间包结构存在明显的短路流,钢水停留时间偏短,死区体积分率偏高,不利于夹杂物上浮去除.同时,由于在高度较大的两湍流控制器间钢水不能流出,影响金属收得率.这种具有双冲击点的中间包,应按照对称的两个单流板坯中间包进行结构优化.采用小高度湍流控制器加上下挡墙的控流方式时,由于钢水流经路径增长和全混流体积分率增加,响应时间增长,死区体积分率显著减小至15%以下,有利于夹杂物上浮去除.同时,将小高度湍流控制器和门式开孔导流坝相结合,残钢量显著减小,有利于提高金属收得率. 相似文献

针对某钢厂五流大方坯中间包3流铸坯探伤不合格率较高的问题,采用数值模拟方法,研究不同结构中间包钢液的流场。结果表明,该钢厂现使用的中间包结构不合理,近流有短路流出现,且各流差异较大,不利于去除钢液中的夹杂物和提高各流间钢液的均匀性;采用大冲击区,挡墙中墙不开孔、侧墙开4个孔,设置2个坝的中间包结构最佳;中间包结构优化后,消除了近流的短路流,中间包钢液平均停留时间达652.9 s,各流示踪剂浓度的标准差仅为0.011 9,死区体积分数也仅为21.96%,既有利于夹杂物上浮去除,也保证了各流间钢液的均匀性。 相似文献

In a multistrand,the outlet near the inlet produces short circuiting flow.This leads to the formation of dead zones inside the tundish,and consequently,the mean residence time decreases.In the present study,numerical investigation of mixing inside a delta shaped tundish with sloping boundaries was carried out by solving the Navier-Stokes equation and employing the standard turbulence model.To decrease the dead zone volume inside the tundish,the effect of closing the outlet near the inlet for a small amount of time and further opening it on the mixing behavior of the tundish was studied.The outlets near the inlet were closed for varying amount of time,and the transient analysis of fluid flow and the tracer dispersion study were carried out to find the mixing parameters of the tundish,namely,mean residence time and the ratio of mixed to dead volume of the tundish.An optimum closure time of the near outlet has been found,which yields best mixing inside the tundish.The numerical code was validated against the experimental observation by performing the tracer dispersion study inside a multistrand tundish and the reasonably good match between the experimental and numerical results in terms of residence time distribution (RTD)curves.The results obtained from the present study confirm the strong role of choosing the right time for opening and closing the outlets to get improved characteristics for the fluid flow and mixing behavior of the tundish.The educational version of computational fluid dynamics(CFD)soft ware PHOENICS was used to solve the governing equations and interpret the results in different forms. 相似文献

The influence of flow control devices on metallurgical effects in large-capacity tundish has been studied carefully with elements tracing,sampling and theoretical prospecting,The results from the studies are(1) in the continuous casting of clean steel,bad control of tundish operation may deteriorate the cleanliness of steel;(2) the cleanliness of steel is deteriorated mainly at the unstady state;(3) large amount of macro inclusions come from the top slag and the refractory of tundish;(4) installing dam and weir can improve the cleanliness of steel and lighten the influence of steel fluctuation;and (5) the result of theoretical calculation suggests that the inclusions larger than the critical size of 92.6um can be floated out from the tundish bath completely. 相似文献
