Immunoelectron localization of mitochondrial F1 factor in cryosections of heart muscle cells

Immunocytochemistry was used to investigate the localization of F1 ATPase in mitochondria of cryosections of adult mouse heart muscle cells. The initial aldehyde fixation was the only denaturation step for antigens. The fine structure was preserved with contrast enhancement as the sections were maintained hydrated, with the advantage that the entire procedure is completed in one working day. The reaction was highly specific, and entire mitochondria were labeled with the Protein A-gold complex. A new analytical technique, electron spectroscopic imaging (ESI), contributed to a better visualization of the localization of the F1 factor.

Damage mechanism in weldment of 2.25Cr-1Mo steel under creep-fatigue loading

The purpose of this study is to clarify damage process of “Type IV cracking” in weldment of a 2.25Cr-1Mo steel and to propose a micro damage prediction method. From continuous observation under a creep-fatigue test, it was found that spherical shape voids initiated and grew on grain boundaries in fine grain region and these voids grow continuously by changing their shape to crack-like. Both spherical and crack-like void growth rate equations were derived from the proposed void growth model. It was indicated that measured void growth rate under the creep-fatigue loading was well predicted by the growth rate equations.

BPxN1-x薄膜的制备及磷元素对其光学能隙的影响

本文从应用出发，选择光学石英为衬底，采用热丝辅助射频化学气相沉积的方法沉积BPxN1—x薄膜，对样品进行了X射线衍射(XRD)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、紫外—可见等测试。XRD、SEM结果显示薄膜多晶态，表面形貌随时间变化，最终为胞状；紫外—可见光光谱结果显示BPxN1—x薄膜的紫外吸收边随沉积时间的加长、PH3流量的增加而向长波长方向移动。因此，该材料的光学能隙可以通过生长工艺适当调整。另外，BPxN1—x薄膜与液晶层能较好匹配等特性更使其适用于紫外空间光调制器。     

一维ZnO纳米结构的电子场发射研究

在大量制备一维ZnO纳米结构的基础上,研究了这些纳米结构的场发射性能。对于四角状ZnO纳米结构,获得1.0m Ac/m2的电流密度只需要4.5V/μm的电场;对于线状Z nO纳米结构,获得1.0mAc/m 2的电流密度需要6.5V/μm的电场。由于其特殊的结构,四角状ZnO一维纳米结构在真空电子器件方面有很好的应用前景。

A novel method for determination of polyester end-groups by NMR spectroscopy

An efficient, convenient and quantitative method for characterising polyester end-groups is described. We have found that trichloroacetyl isocyanate (TAI) reacts rapidly and quantitatively with both carboxyl [C(O)OH] and hydroxyl (OH) chain ends to form derivatives that can be readily determined by ¹H NMR spectroscopy. The TAI capped end-groups give rise to characteristic imidic NH resonances in a normally clear region of the ¹H NMR spectrum [δ∼10-11.5 for C(O)-O-C(O)-NH-C(O)CCl₃ from C(O)OH, δ∼8-9 for O-C(O)-NH-C(O)CCl₃ from OH]. The method has been successfully applied to quantitative determination of the end-groups of a wide variety of oligomeric polyesters. It has also been applied to higher molecular weight polyesters including commercial, bottle grade, poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) and PET based copolyesters (e.g. PETG).     

InxGa1−xAs ohmic contacts to n-type GaAs with a tungsten nitride barrier

Significant reduction of the contact resistance of In_0.7Ga_0.3As/Ni/W contacts (which were previously developed by sputtering in our laboratory) was achieved by depositing a W₂N barrier layer between the Ni layer and W layer. The In_0.7Ga_0.3 As/Ni/W₂N/W contact prepared by the radio-frequency sputtering technique showed the lowest contact resistance of 0.2 Ωmm after annealing at 550°C for 10 s. This contact also provided a smooth surface, good reproducibility, and excellent thermal stability at 400°C. The polycrystalline W₂N layer was found to suppress the In diffusion to the contact surface, leading to improvement of the surface morphology and an increase in the total area of the In_xGa−As between metal and the GaAs substrate. These improvements are believed to reduce the contact resistance.
