Studies on jute–asphalt composites

The tensile properties of jute make it a suitable raw material for asphalt overlay (A/O) fabric. In this study, the thermal stability of jute under conditions of asphalt overlaying process was investigated and the compatibility of jute with asphalt was assessed through experimentation on jute–asphalt composites under mechanical and hygral loads. Fourier transform infra red (FTIR) spectroscopic study revealed probable chemical bonding between jute and asphalt. The test for ascertaining the capability of asphalt encasement for protecting jute against biodegradation under enzymatic attack was found positive. A 6‐month hygral treatment, of the jute–asphalt composite, showed significant increase in modulus of the material. The results indicate that although the strength of jute deteriorates by about 10% under asphalt overlaying condition, the overall tensile behavior of jute fabric–asphalt composite material is considerably superior to that of the pure jute fabric, even under biological and extended hygral loading conditions. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 甲壳素纤维/毛/绒双层织物的设计

通过分析甲壳素纤维各项性能,将其引入山羊绒产品中,对双层织物的设计进行探讨,并经过纺纱和织物试制,提出了设计与生产中应注意的问题,开发出了具有永久抗菌性的表层为羊绒、里层为甲壳素与改性羊毛混纺的系列产品.     

中性固色剂NF在分散／活性一浴热溶染色中的应用

本文对涤棉混纺织物在分散/活性染料同浴染色中采用碱固工艺与中性固色工艺作了较详细的对比试验,同时对中性固色剂及双氰胺的用量进行了优选组合,并对中性固色剂的效果进行了讨论。     

Achieving fair service with a hybrid scheduling scheme for CICQ switches

Providing performance guarantees for arriving traffic flows has become an important measure for today’s routing and switching systems. However, none of current scheduling algorithms built on CICQ (combined input and cross-point buffered) switches can provide flow level performance guarantees. Aiming at meeting this requirement, the feasibility of implementing flow level scheduling is discussed thoroughly. Then, based on the discussion, it comes up with a hybrid and stratified fair scheduling (HSFS) scheme, which is hierarchical and hybrid, for CICQ switches. With HSFS, each input port and output port can schedule variable length packets independently with a complexity of O(1). Theoretical analysis show that HSFS can provide delay bound, service rate and fair performance guarantees without speedup. Finally, we implement HSFS in SPES (switch performance evaluation system) to verify the analytical results.     

Studies on high-performance blended/multiblended cements and their durability characteristics

Number of blends were prepared by intergrinding clinker, gypsum, fly ash, calcined clay, microsilica and limestone in laboratory ball mill in varying percentages, and their physical properties such as fineness, consistency, setting time and compressive strength have been determined. The durability tests on selected compositions were also conducted by exposing the mortar cubes separately in 5% Na₂SO₄ and 5% NaCl solutions till the age of 90 and 180 days. The performance was observed by compressive strength development criteria after various length of exposure. Results have been discussed and found that the durability of blended cement is higher than the ordinary Portland cement.     

远红外丙纶的性能研究

系统测试了采用共混纺丝法研制出的远红外丙纶及织物的物理机械性能、远红外发射性能、保温性能、耐洗涤性能和抗菌性能，并对用远红外丙纶加工的护腿的医疗保健作用进行了临床检测。进而讨论了远红外丙纶及织物的医疗保健作用机理。     

锦纶66浸胶帘子布生产中的张力与控制

分析了帘子布生产中张力的作用及各区段的张力情况。张力应根据生产品种及浸胶帘子布的内在质量要求来选择，一般张力设定依据为拉伸区张力是干燥区张力的１倍，定型区张力是拉伸区张力的０．６５倍。同时应控制好各区段的温度，降低拉伸应力使锦纶６６帘子布拉伸均匀，提高帘子布的物理性能。
