The contamination of consumer products, e.g. food, during production, storage and/or transport, due to release of chemicals caused by contact with technical components is of some concern. Various methods can be used to study the release of these chemicals. These include those using radiotracers, such as thin layer activation (TLA). A dedicated facility combining TLA with electrochemical tests is presented. Its use is illustrated with Ni and Cr release during electrochemical testing of 316L stainless steel in a glucose solution. TLA offers various advantages, which include area selectivity, high sensitivity, and the possibility for in situ and on-line monitoring of elements. Due to the complementarity of TLA with the conventional electrochemical methods it contributes to a better understanding of the underlying release processes. Additionally, the usefulness of TLA to develop more reliable test methodology is indicated. 相似文献

设计了两种成分AB2型合金,(Zr1-XTiX)(NiVMnCo)2+α,采用XRD、SEM、TEM以及电化学性能测试方法分别对它们的铸态、快淬态及快淬态经过773 K、973 K和1 173 K退火处理的合金进行研究,结果表明,在AB2型储氢合金中加入少量Ti,可以增加电极的放电容量,提高循环寿命。熔体旋转快淬制备的非晶态合金电极的电化学性能差。快淬样品经过退火后,可获得纳米晶结构,能够大幅度提高电极材料的放电容量(370 mAh/g)和循环寿命(300次循环后容量衰减3%)。 相似文献

Electrochemical dressing of fine-grained metal-bonded diamond grinding wheels enables to grind hard and brittle materials
in the ductile mode. Optical surfaces can be manufactured by grinding, which reduces the need for subsequent, time-consuming
polishing work. When using metal-bonded grinding wheels, the emerging oxides regulate the electrochemical dissolution. Bronze-bonded
grinding wheels are more suitable for grinding cemented carbides and ceramics than iron-bonded grinding wheels, as it is easier
to modify their chemical composition to suit a specific grinding task. They can also be sintered at lower temperatures, which
reduces the risk of thermal damage to the diamond. In this paper, the dissolution and the oxidation of different bronze alloys
are characterized for the electrochemical dressing process. The relevant evaluation criteria are the oxide layer thickness,
the electrical behavior and the different emerging bronze alloy oxides.

Bis-piperidiniummethyl-urea (BPMU) and mono-piperidiniummethyl-urea (MPMU) were developed as novel volatile corrosion inhibitors (VCIs). Their vapor corrosion inhibition property was evaluated by volatile inhibiting sieve test (VIS) and vapor inhibiting ability test (VIA). Volatile weight-loss test in a closed space was used to compare their volatility. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy of a volatile corrosion inhibitor monitor (VCIM) was applied to study the effect of BPMU and MPMU on the corrosion inhibition of mild steel in thin electrolyte layer. The results show that BPMU has the better protection effect compared with MPMU. Adsorption of BPMU and MPMU on steel surface was investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). It was shown that one BPMU molecule has two N atoms to coordinate with one Fe atom, and that one MPMU molecule has one N atom to coordinate with one Fe atom. The quantum chemical parameters were obtained by PM3 semi-empirical method. BPMU has the smaller HOMO-LUMO energy gap and the smaller net positive charge intensities of 4N and 8N atoms in its molecule. 相似文献

A novel electrochemical method using a wire beam electrode was developed to investigate self-repairing ability of temporarily protective oil coating. Results showed that inhibited oil coatings had the ability of self-repairing, and oil-soluble inhibitors had direct effect on the self-repairing ability of oil coating. A new Mn(II) complex of MnL2Cl2 (L = azino-di(5,6-azafluorene)-κ2-NN′) was synthesized and utilized as an electrochemical indicator for the determination of hepatitis B virus (HBV) based on its interaction with MnL2Cl2. The electrochemical behavior of interaction of MnL2Cl2 with salmon sperm DNA was investigated on glassy carbon electrode (GCE). In the presence of salmon sperm DNA, the peak current of [MnL2]2+ was decreased and the peak potential was shifted positively without appearance of new peaks. The binding ratio between [MnL2]2+ and salmon sperm DNA was calculated to be 2:1 and the binding constant was 3.72 × 108 mol2 L−2. The extent of hybridization was evaluated on the basis of the difference between signals of [MnL2]2+ with probe DNA before and after hybridization with complementary sequence. Control experiments performed with non-complementary and mismatch sequence demonstrated the good selectivity of the biosensor. With this approach, a sequence of the HBV could be quantified over the range from 1.76 × 10−8 to 1.07 × 10−6 mol L−1, with a linear correlation of r = 0.9904 and a detection limit of 6.80 × 10−9 mol L−1. Additionally, the binding mechanism was preliminarily discussed. The mode of interaction between MnL2Cl2 and DNA was found to be primary intercalation binding. 相似文献

By exploiting the electrostatic interaction between positively charged pyrrole cation radicals and negatively charged graphene oxide (GO) sheets, we prepared polypyrrole/graphene oxide (PPy/GO) composite films by a one-step electrochemical process. We studied the effects of the polymerization current density and the GO content in electrolyte on the formation of PPy/GO coatings onto platinum neural microelectrode sites. As compared with pure PPy film, PPy/GO coatings show a rougher surface feature with micrometer-scale bulges. The impedance of the PPy/GO coated Pt electrode is only about 10% of the bare Pt electrode at the biological relevant 1 kHz, while the charge capacity density is more than two orders of the magnitude of the bare Pt electrode. Moreover, the PPy/GO coated Pt electrodes show higher performance than the PPy coated electrodes for the application of neural probe. 相似文献

This paper presents a simple electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) aptasensor based on an anti-thrombin-aptamer as a molecular recognition element. Improvement in sensitivity was achieved by utilizing gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), which were self-assembled on the surface of a bare electrode by using 1,6-Hexanedithiol as a medium. To quantify the amount of thrombin, changes in the interfacial electron transfer resistance (Ret) of the aptasensor were monitored using the redox couple of an [Fe(CN)6]3−/4− probe. The plot of (Reti−Ret0)/Ret0 against the logarithm of thrombin concentration is linear with over the range from 0.1 nM to 30 nM with a detection limit of 0.013 nM. Meanwhile, the packing density of aptamers was determined by cyclic voltammetric (CV) studies of redox cations (e.g., [Ru(NH3)6]3+) which were electrostatically bound to the DNA phosphate backbones. The results indicate that the total amount of aptamer probes immobilized on the gold nanoparticle surface is sixfold higher than that on the bare electrode. The aptasensor also showed good selectivity for thrombin without being affected by the presence of other proteins. 相似文献
