Poly(ethylene terephthalate) films were treated with aqueous sodium hydroxide solutions of different concentrations for various times. The rate of weight loss increased with the addition of a swelling agent (methylene chloride) or a cationic surfactant. The surface roughness of the treated films was determined from atomic force microscopy (AFM) and pore diameter was obtained from scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In general, surface roughness was found to increase with increasing weight loss for the treated films. A maximum roughness was obtained for samples with a weight loss of approximately 15-20%, beyond which the roughness of the samples decreased. The addition of methylene chloride and surfactant resulted in an almost two-fold increase in the roughness for all treatment times investigated. The adhesion of electrolessly plated platinum film was dependent on the contact area produced by chemical treatment. Treatments producing smaller diameter pores of greater depth gave better adhesion. 相似文献

The recycled packaging waste PE was adopted to modify the asphalt and the UV-aging resistance of the modified asphalt was studied through the UV-aging experiment. The results showed that the changing trends of softening point aging index, penetration aging index, elastic recovery aging index and viscosity aging index at 135°C of the modified and unmodified asphalt are similar. FTIR analysis and the microscopic structure of the asphalt indicated that there existed two kinds of reactions taking place in the aging process of packing waste PE modified asphalt, the oxidation of raw asphalt and the aging of the polymer. 相似文献

The purpose of this article is to present energetic properties of surface Ti6Al4V titanium as well as surface EN-AW-2017A(PA6) aluminum alloy layers. Values of surface free energy after selected mechanical operations and ozonation were compared. In addition, the influence of different values of ozone concentration on surface layer energetic activation was analyzed. Dispersive and polar components of surface free energy were of particular concern. Comparative evaluation of shearing strength of Ti6Al4V titanium and EN-AW-2017A(PA6) aluminum alloy single-lap adhesive bonded joints were presented. India produces over 200 million tonnes of food grains annually. There is need of postproduction management system to match with the increasing production rate. Drying is the primary need of crop's postproduction system. Sun drying is a popular mode of crops drying in India. The use of mechanical dryers are almost nil at arm level. With ever-growing population, the food grain production will increase to meet the demand of people. However, the agriculture is taking the shape of industry. Therefore, quality maintenance of the food grain is the primary concern. Thus, the crop drying cannot be dependent on sun drying. A good amount of research and development have been carried out on drying technology during the last two decades. So far very little attention have been given on the development of high capacity dryers, which are presently needed. High capacity dryers are also needed in food processing, chemicals and other industries, which are at growing stage in India. Hence, in nut and shell, there is a big demand for high capacity mechanical dryers and advanced drying technology. This paper presents the status of drying equipment and technology in India and its perspectives in future. To overcome the problems of drying and dryer development, the measures taken by the Government have been also mentioned. Potential of drying equipment business in international and domestic market is also highlighted in this paper. 相似文献
