我国的创新型城市建设是承接我国创新型国家战略的重要一环,是国家战略在城市尺度的具体化和地方化。本文分析了苏州创新型城市的建设基础和将要面临的挑战,在此基础上明确了其发展的目标,最后提出构筑现代产业体系、增强区域创新能力、优化空间布局等创新型城市建设对策。

Do the Performances of Innovative Firms Differ Depending on Market-oriented or Technology-oriented Strategies?

Despite a perception to the contrary, the performances and values of innovative firms can differ. While people are preconditioned to believe that these firms perform well and have high valuations, this is not always the case. In order to explain this phenomenon, we adopt a lens of strategic orientations that influence innovation: market orientation and technology orientation. By using 10-year panel data, and a content analysis examining the relative orientations of our sample firms, we find that the market-oriented and technology-oriented tendencies of innovative firms influence firm performance and value. Relatively market-oriented innovative firms can guarantee instant performance by offering customers new products and services that they want. However, customers may not be loyal to one particular innovative firm. By contrast, relatively technology-oriented innovative firms are not subject to customers' fastidious choices and have higher firm values. Furthermore, environmental uncertainty negatively influences the relatively market-oriented innovative firms' value as well as sales performance.     

Enhancing TRU burning and Am transmutation in Advanced Recycling Reactor

This paper presents about conceptual designs of Advanced Recycling Reactor (ARR) focusing on enhancement in transuranics (TRU) burning and americium (Am) transmutation. The design has been conducted in the context of the Global Nuclear Energy Partnership (GNEP) seeking to close nuclear fuel cycle in ways that reduce proliferation risks, reduce the nuclear waste in the US and further improve global energy security. This study strives to enhance the TRU burning and the Am transmutation, assuming the development of related technologies in this study, while the ARR based on mature technologies was designed in the previous study. It has followed that the provided TRU burning core is designed to burn TRU at 28 kg/TW_thh, by adding moderator pins of B₄C (Enriched B-11) and the Am transmutation core will be able to transmute Am at 34 kg/TW_thh, by locating Am blanket of AmN around the TRU burning core. It indicates that these concepts improve TRU burning by 40-50% than the previous core and can transmute Am effectively, keeping the void reactivity acceptable.

首先介绍电信运营商的业务转型及IT所面临的挑战,分析互联网企业的成功经验及支撑其核心业务的革新式IT基础架构,进而探讨互联网企业的革新式IT基础架构在电信运营商数据中心应用的有效性,最后阐述互联网企业典型的两个解决方案(模块化数据中心和定制化服务器)对于运营商发展互联网业务的有效性。     

Effect of extra virgin olive oil on glycaemia in healthy young subjects

In this approach we studied the glycaemia levels in 20 healthy young volunteers (26 ± 2 years), before and after a 30‐day intake of 50 mL of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO). We selected an oil rich in phenolic compounds (523 mg/L) with a high content of secoiridoidic derivatives (over 94.5%). The findings from our study reveal a significant decrease of glycaemia from 89.6 ± 6.8 to 82.7 ± 10.3 mg/dL (p<0.05), related to a long term daily intake of the study EVOO, as the only added fat. A significant increment of the HDL cholesterol, from 68.7 ± 11.5 to 75.2 ± 4.9 mg/dL, was also highlighted. Total cholesterol, LDL, VLDL, triglycerides, and blood pressure did not show significant variation after the 30‐day consumption of this EVOO. So far, few articles have described the influence of EVOO consumption, on plasma glucose levels in humans. This effect is observed in a group of healthy young humans. Moreover, we confirm that the level of free hydroxytyrosol (OH‐Tyr) in plasma increased up to fourfold (p<0.05) after the 30‐day intake of this EVOO. In addition, the excretion in urine of the main metabolite of OH‐Tyr, homovanillic acid (HVA), significantly increased.
