Comparative analysis of methods for determining the metabolic rate in order to provide a balance between man and the environment

The incorrect determination of metabolic rate can be linked to discrepancies between the model of the PMV (Predicted Mean Vote) and real thermal sensation collected in field studies. Aiming to improve the correlation of the PMV model and the real thermal sensation, this work established new values for the metabolic rate: one way being called “calculated” using Newton's Method and the other called "measured" using a metabolic analyzer. Welder's activities were evaluated, through the measurements of environmental and personal variables. New values of metabolic rate were determined for this activity. The values found for the calculated form and the measured one were, respectively, 178.63 and 145.46 W/m², different from the range provided by the table of ISO 8996 (2004) for this activity (75–125 W/m²). In order to verify which of the values of the metabolic rate was closer to the real thermal sensation of PMV, a linear regression was made between the PMV and the real thermal sensation in three ways: S × PMV_tabulated (R² = 0.1749), S × PMV_calculated (R ² = 0.7481) and S × PMV_measured (R² = 0.7854). It was found that the values measured by the instrument gave a higher coefficient of determination which was chosen for the correction of the table. The correction of the table provides a value of M_predicted, that is a value of metabolic rate that corrects the values provided by the tables of ISO 8996 (2004), by means of a correction coefficient. For the welder's activities in a metal-mechanics industry, tabulated values can be multiplied by the correction coefficient 1.4648 in order to minimize inaccuracies. The PMV_predicted, obtained through the M_predicted, when related to the actual thermal sensation, provides a coefficient of determination of 0.7511, thereby improving the model of the PMV.

微生物电合成(Microbial electrosynthesis，MES)为二氧化碳还原为乙酸盐和其他多碳物提供了一条可持续的生化转化途径，利用电能驱动微生物固定CO2具有原料容易、操作条件温和、不含有毒物质、环境可持续性等特点，为全球碳中和、碳减排带来了新机遇。在研究人员对提高产率、转化效率、碳链延长方面的深入研究下，基于对电极材料的选择、修饰，菌群的驯化，操作条件的限制，乙酸最高产率达1330g/(m2?d)，催化转化C1废气并耦合二次发酵生产了C2-C4产物以及具有更长碳链的中链脂肪酸。在概述阴极电活性微生物吸收胞外电子的分子机制捕获和转化CO2的基础上，综述了合成有机酸的代谢原理、二维和三维等电极材料使用现状以及提高产物产率、产物及碳链延长的方法，并对未来MES的研究方向做出了展望。

气固下行流化床反应器气固两相流动过程是比较复杂的，沿轴向气固两相运动可分为第一加速、第二加速和恒速３个运动段，沿径向局部气体速度、颗粒速度和颗粒浓度都具有不同程度的不均匀性。而这种不均匀性是由气固两相顺重力场湍动运动所决定的。和循环床提升管相比，下行管反应器气固两相沿径向分布的不均匀性得到有效地改善，气固可以实现超短接触操作，因而是一种新型高效气固超短接触反应器     

Olfactory coding in the perception of semiochemicals

Information processing in the olfactory pathway underlying the perception of semiochemicals by insects is discussed. Both the chemical message for mates and the message for food consist of blends of chemicals. Olfactory receptors in an insect species are tuned to the detection of those compounds which comprise such chemical messages for that species. The classification of receptors as specialists or generalists coincides with two concepts of information processing, i.e., labeled lines and across-fiber patterns, respectively. The olfactory code coming from antennal receptors inPieris brassicae larvae is a combination of labeled lines and across-fiber patterning. When antennae of adult Colorado potato beetles,Leptinotarsa decemlineata, are stimulated by binary mixtures of leaf odor components, the pattern of neural activities in the olfactory receptors shows some separation into two channels, quantitative versus qualitative detection. The separation is complete in the antennal lobe of this beetle.Presented at the Symposium on Insect Chemical Communications: Unifying Concepts. Novel biocatalysts: Recent developments

The limited number of suitably well characterized biocatalysts continues to limit progress in the application of biological routes in the synthesis of compounds for novel pharmaceuticals, materials, or performance chemicals. In this situation, the discovery of novel biocatalysts or novel functionalities or substrates on existing ones is an important task. This work describes a range of novel biocatalysts obtained recently through one of three techniques: environmental sampling or screening, protein engineering on existing enzymes, or extension of the catalytic profile of existing catalysts.     

车辆铝合金大型材模具的设计与制造工艺研究

大型材挤压模具设计与制造是现代车辆大型铝合金型材生产的关键技术。以典型的难度较大的底板型材GDX—11为例，对大型模具的结构参数和尺寸设计进行了深入分析，并对模具材料、热处理工艺、模具制造工艺和修模等进行了讨论。研制出了合格的GDX—11铝合金大型材。     

基于邻域粗糙集的加权KNN肿瘤基因表达谱分类算法

肿瘤亚型的准确判别对肿瘤的治疗具有重要意义,对肿瘤的不同亚型进行准确判别是当前生物信息学研究的重要课题．本文首先利用Relief算法排序基因并选出初始的肿瘤信息基因子集,然后利用向基于邻域粗糙集模型的向前属性约减算法FARNeM来计算加权基因集合,最后用加权KNN算法对肿瘤对这些数据进行分析,从而发现有差异的基因表达。实验结果表明了上述方法的可行性和有效性。
