The design of a novel multi-electrode electromagnetic flowmeter, which provides nine conventional electromagnetic flowmeters housed in a single body, has been used in adverse flow conditions immediately downstream from a header tank. The results show that careful initial calibration, in accord with the pipeline conditions recommended in international standards, enables errors of under 1% to be achieved. The results show that the two electrode planes closest to the header provide results with the greatest errors. The performance with the electrodes mounted in the vertical plane is generally better than that achieved with the electrodes mounted in the horizontal plane. Pressure measurements together with laser Doppler anemometry (LDA) and particle image velocimetry (PIV) techniques have been used to provide details of the magnitude of the disturbance caused to the flow field by the header and outflow combination.  相似文献

在渐开线齿轮少齿差内啮合传动中,由于受力侧的内、外齿轮齿廓之间的齿侧间隙较小,当齿轮受载后会出现多齿对同时啮合的现象。运用解析的方法推导出理论齿廓之间的最小间隙计算公式以及考虑制造误差以后的齿廓之间的最小间隙计算公式。通过分析对比,发现某些齿对的齿侧间隙值已接近制造公差及齿廓变形的数量级。在啮合区间的左右端部,各对齿廓的齿侧间隙差别较大,但具有小间隙值的齿对数较多;在中部,各对齿廓的齿侧间隙差别较小,但具有小间隙值的齿对数较少。考虑制造误差与不考虑制造误差对齿侧间隙值的影响不大,特别是在啮合区间的中部。  相似文献

Based on probability and statistic, a design method of precision cam profile concerning the influence of random processing errors is advanced. Combining the design with the process, which can be used to predict that cam profiles will be successfully processed or not in the design stage, design of the cam can be done by balancing the economization and reliability. We investigated the postprandial changes in plasma levels of adipocytokines in overweight patients with metabolic syndrome after an oral fat load. After an oral fat load and during a prolonged fast, blood was drawn at 0, 2, 3, 4 and 8 h for measurement of adiponectin, adipsin, cathepsin S, chemerin, hepatic growth factor, interferon‐γ‐inducible protein‐10, leptin, macrophage chemoattractant protein‐1, macrophage migration inhibitory factor, nerve growth factor, retinol binding protein‐4, resistin, serum amyloid A1, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase‐1 and thrombopoietin using a microbead‐based Luminex assay. Area under the curves (AUC) were calculated and compared. Plasma adiponectin levels were higher after an oral fat load compared to fasting at t = 2 h (950 ± 513 vs. ?1,881 ± 713 ng/ml) while the plasma levels for adipsin (?9 ± 5 vs. 16 ± 5 ng/ml), chemerin (?122 ± 35 vs. 13 ± 21 ng/ml), SAA‐1 (?391 ± 213 vs. 522 ± 173 ng/ml) and TPO (?335 ± 144 vs. 622 ± 216 ng/ml) were lower after an oral fat load compared to fasting. The baseline corrected AUC for IP‐10 was higher after fat load compared to fasting (median ?116 pg h/ml; IQR ?270 to 10 vs. ?21 pg h/ml; IQR ?136 to 418 (p = 0.047). In conclusion, in overweight male subjects with the metabolic syndrome, an oral fat load is accompanied with a modest anti‐inflammatory response of adipose tissue‐derived adipocytokines.  相似文献

BackgroundQuercetin, one of the most well-known flavonoids, has been included in human diet for a long history. The use of quercetin has been widely associated with a great number of health benefits, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and anticancer as well as the function to ease some cardiovascular diseases (i.e., heart disease, hypertension, and high blood cholesterol). However, poor water solubility, chemical instability and low bioavailability of quercetin greatly limit its applications. Utilization of delivery systems can improve its stability, efficacy and bioavailability.Scope and approachIn this review, biological activities, chemical stability, metabolism and toxicity of quercetin and different delivery systems for quercetin were discussed.Key findings and conclusionsQuercetin digested in human body (e.g., mouth, small intestine, liver, kidneys) undergoes glucuronidation, sulfation or methylation. During the food processing and storage, many factors such as heat, pH, metal ions, could affect the chemical stability (including oxidation and degradation) of quercetin. Utilization of delivery systems including lipid-based carriers, nanoparticles, inclusion complexes, micelles and conjugates-based encapsulation has the potential to improve both the stability and bioavailability and thus health benefits of quercetin. Each delivery system has its unique advantages and shortcomings, and the specific selection should be based on the application domains. Moreover, the exploration of natural food-grade ingredients as main compositions of delivery systems for quercetin might be required in the future.  相似文献

The electrical resistance showerhead is the water heating technology used in over 70% of the Brazilian dwellings. These high power (5–8 kW are typical) instant heating devices contribute significantly to the demand peak in the early evening, and are a major burden to distribution utilities in Brazil. The objective of this paper is to define consumer showering patterns, and analyze the influence of the power demand measurement time resolution on the potential of peak time power demand reduction provided by Domestic Solar Hot Water (DSHW) systems. Results show that the measurement of electrical power demand in a 15-min interval is not adequate to evaluate and verify the benefits provided by the use of DSHW systems, because it heavily underestimates the active power demand reduction at peak hours. This work suggests that a 1-min time resolution can be considered appropriate to assess the potential impacts caused by the use of DSHW systems on the peak hours demand reduction.  相似文献

A comparative assessment of the phytochemical profiles and antioxidant activities of seven cultivars of Aloe was conducted to evaluate the potential health benefits of Aloe. Aloe arborescens contained the highest levels of phenolic content, total antioxidant capacity by the oxygen radical scavenging capacity assay and cellular antioxidant activity assay. Aloe vera showed the highest levels of flavonoid content and antioxidant capacity by the peroxyl radical scavenging capacity assay. Aloe greenii had the highest CAA value with a PBS wash before adding ABAP. There were no significant differences observed between Aloe arborescens and Aloe greenii. Aloin, aloe‐emodin‐8‐O‐beta‐D‐glucopyranoside, catechin, epicatechin, sinapic acid and chlorogenic acid were identified in Aloe samples by the HPLC analysis. Aloin, aloe‐emodin‐8‐O‐beta‐D‐glucopyranoside and catechin showed strong relationships with antioxidant activity. Significant levels of aloin, aloe‐emodin‐8‐O‐beta‐D‐glucopyranoside and catechin were determined in Aloe greenii, Aloe vera and Aloe saponaria, respectively.  相似文献

DFT is used to study various transition metal based ceramics LiAA′O6 (A = Nb, Ta, and A′ = W, Mo) in tetragonal phase with space group 421 m (No. 113). The calculated structural and geometrical parameters are found in closed agreement with the experiments. Electronic clouds explain the chemical bonding and reveal that Li atom occupy central position and form ionic bond. Other bonds in these compounds are significantly covalent due to the sharing of electrons between O and A/A′. The electronic properties demonstrate that these compounds are wide bandgap semiconductors in the energy range of 2.18–2.60 eV. These bandgap energies confirm the suitability of these oxides in optoelectronic devices operating in the visible range of the electromagnetic spectrum.  相似文献
