Better radiation resistance of InP-based solar cells such as InGaP and InGaAsP cells, and minority-carrier-injection-enhanced annealing phenomena of radiation-induced defects in those materials previously found by the authors has been analyzed by considering introduction rates and annealing behavior of radiation-induced defects in InP-related materials. Radiation resistance of InP-related materials is found to be explained by lower damage coefficients and band-gap energy effects on solar cell degradation compared to other materials. 相似文献

In this paper, we evaluate whether the primary supply temperature in district heating networks can be used to control radiator systems in buildings connected to district heating; with the purpose of increasing the ΔT. The primary supply temperature in district heating systems can mostly be described as a function of outdoor temperature; similarly, the radiator supply temperature in houses, offices and industries can also be described as a function of outdoor temperature. To calibrate the radiator control system to produce an ideally optimal radiator supply temperature that produces a maximized ΔT across the substation, the relationship between the primary supply temperature and outdoor temperature must be known. However, even if the relation is known there is always a deviation between the expected primary supply temperature and the actual temperature of the received distribution media. This deviation makes the radiator control system incapable of controlling the radiator supply temperature to a point that would generate a maximized ΔT. 相似文献

In this paper a study was carried out on the feasilibity of using solar energy for a direct space heating of a residential complex in Jordan, constructed from special building materials to reduce heat losses. A computer simulation was carried out for the solar heating system and indicated that an 81 m2 of collecting area was the most cost effective, giving an annual solar contribution to the total annual heating load of 0.987. The remaining portion of the load is to be supplied by an auxiliary system. The economical analysis gave a net saving of almost 27000 J.D over a period of twenty years. 相似文献

The paper deals with the multilevel converters control strategy for renewable energy resources integration in distribution grids. The proposed control scheme ensures the injection of the generated power in the distribution grid with fast dynamic response, while providing an additional active power filtering capability providing the required harmonic and reactive currents to the considered non-linear loads. The proposed control scheme is applicable to a general multilevel converter and to any types of the renewable energy resources. The control scheme is validated by means of simulations with a three-level diode-clamped converter which interfaces a wind power generation system to a distribution grid supplying non-linear loads. From extensive simulation results, high performance of this control strategy in renewable energy application is demonstrated with reduced total harmonic distortion, increased power factor and compensated load’s reactive powers. 相似文献

This paper presents a review of the worldwide application of geothermal energy for direct utilization, and updates the previous survey carried out in 2005. We also compare data from 1995 and 2000 presented at World Geothermal Congresses in Italy and Japan, respectively (WGC95 and WGC2000). As in previous reports, an effort is made to quantify ground-source (geothermal) heat pump data. The present report is based on country update papers prepared for WGC2010 and other sources of data available to the authors. Final update papers were received from 70 countries of which 66 reported some direct utilization of geothermal energy. Twelve additional countries were added to the list based on other sources of information. Direct utilization of geothermal energy in 78 countries is a significant increase from the 72 reported in 2005, the 58 reported in 2000, and the 28 reported in 1995. An estimate of the installed thermal power for direct utilization at the end of 2009 is used in this paper and equals 48,493 MWt, almost a 72% increase over the 2005 data, growing at a compound rate of 11.4% annually with a capacity factor of 0.28. The thermal energy used is 423,830 TJ/year (117,740 GWh/yr), about a 55% increase over 2005, growing at a compound rate of 9.2% annually. The distribution of thermal energy used by category is approximately 47.2% for ground-source heat pumps, 25.8% for bathing and swimming (including balneology), 14.9% for space heating (of which 85% is for district heating), 5.5% for greenhouses and open ground heating, 2.8% for industrial process heating, 2.7% for aquaculture pond and raceway heating, 0.4% for agricultural drying, 0.5% for snow melting and cooling, and 0.2% for other uses. Energy savings amounted to 250 million barrels (38 million tonnes) of equivalent oil annually, preventing 33 million tonnes of carbon and 107 million tonnes of CO2 being release to the atmosphere, this includes savings for geothermal heat pumps in the cooling mode (compared to using fuel oil to generate electricity). 相似文献
