The relationship between sensitisation and small punch test behaviour in a high-nitrogen austenitic stainless steel at cryogenic temperatures

Austenitic stainless components used in nuclear fusion reactors must be capable of maintaining reasonable mechanical properties to thermal ageing caused by welding and in‐service. Recently, high‐nitrogen (High‐N) austenitic stainless steels (SS) are receiving increased attention because of their strength advantages, but they have been found to be susceptible to dichromium nitride (Cr₂N) precipitation during thermal exposure at 823–1073 K. The susceptibility to sensitisation at thermal ageing temperature for high‐N austenitic SS is examined using the single‐loop electrochemical potentiokinetic reactivation (EPR) test. High‐N SS were found to be susceptible to sensitisation caused by grain boundary precipitation of Cr₂N, with the degree of sensitisation increasing systematically with ageing time and temperature. In particular, it was found that the precipitates, which effected sensitisation, were changed from carbides (M₂₃C₆) to nitrides (Cr₂N) with increasing ageing time and temperature. The deterioration of mechanical properties associated with thermal ageing in high‐N SS was investigated by a small punch (SP) test using miniature specimens at cryogenic temperatures. Results indicated that the degradation of mechanical properties in this alloy was caused by a decrease of cohesive strength resulting from carbides (Cr₂₃C₆) and nitrides (Cr₂N) precipitated in grain boundaries.

波带交换光网络中的保护机制

本论文主要对波带交换光网络中的保护机制进行了一定的研究,提出了基于波带通道的专用保护和共享保护机制和算法,其中在共享保护算法中考虑不同的策略提出了三种不同的算法,即只共享逐跳的保护波长通道的WSP算法,只共享嵌入到波带通道中的保护波长通道的BSP算法和能同时共享两者的BWSP算法。最后进行了相应的网络仿真,讨论并得出BWSP算法的性能是最优的。

Six PL/I compilers

This paper describes an experimental evaluation of the execution speed of object programs produced by six PL/I compilers. A set of 139 representative PL/I statements were compiled and executed under the PL/I Optimizing, PL/I(F), PL/C, PL/I Checkout, SP/k and PLUTO compilers. An analysis is made of the relative speed of the object code produced by each compiler and also of the relative execution speed of each statement.

Sorbent extraction of rubeanic acid-metal chelates on a new adsorbent: Sepabeads SP70

A sorbent extraction procedure for lead, iron, cadmium and manganese ions on Sepabeads SP70 adsorption resin has been presented prior to their flame atomic absorption spectrometric determinations. By the passage of aqueous samples including analyte ions-rubeanic acid chelates through Sepabeads SP70 column, metal chelates adsorb quantitatively and almost all matrix elements will pass through the column to drain. The influence of potential interfering ions was also studied. The validation of the method was made though the analysis of LGC 6010 Hard drinking water, SRM 1577b Bovine liver and GBW 07603 Bush branches and leaves standard reference materials (SRM). The method was applied to the determination of analyte ions from various water, wastewater, cow meat and milk, red wine, and tobacco samples with successfully results.
