In this study the antioxidant activity of absolute ethanol, 50 % ethanol and water extracts of two species of seaweeds, namely Fucus serratus and Polysiphonia fucoides, were evaluated both in in vitro assays and in 5 % fish oil‐in‐water (o/w) emulsions. The 50 % ethanolic extracts of P. fucoides showed higher antioxidant activity both in in vitro assays and in 5 % oil‐in‐water emulsion in the presence or absence of iron. In spite of the higher phenolic content and very good antioxidant activity in some of the in vitro assays, the absolute ethanol extracts of both the species showed a pro‐oxidative tendency in 5 % fish oil‐in‐water emulsion in the presence or absence of iron. In order to investigate the reason for the higher antioxidant activity of 50 % ethanolic extracts of P. fucoides, these extracts were further fractionated into polyphenol‐rich, protein‐rich, polysaccharide‐rich and low‐molecular‐weight fractions. These fractions were tested both in in vitro and in 5 % oil‐in‐water emulsions. The results of the present study showed that the main effect was due to the phenolic compounds. In conclusion, the 50 % ethanolic extracts of P. fucoides can be a potential source of natural antioxidants as these extracts have antioxidant activities similar to those of synthetic antioxidants such as BHT. 相似文献

Plasma fatty acid (FA) composition is known to be an indicator of dietary fat quality, but the associations of other dietary factors with plasma FA composition remain unknown in children. We investigated the cross-sectional associations of food consumption with the proportions of FA and estimated desaturase activities in plasma cholesteryl esters (CE) and phospholipids (PL) among children. The subjects were a population sample of 423 children aged 6–8 years examined at baseline of The Physical Activity and Nutrition in Children (PANIC) Study. We assessed food consumption by food records and plasma FA composition by gas chromatography. We used linear regression models adjusted for age, sex, physical activity and total energy intake to analyze the associations. A higher consumption of vegetable oil-based margarine (fat 60–80 %) was associated with a higher proportion of linoleic and α-linolenic acids in plasma CE and PL. A higher consumption of high-fiber grain products was related to a lower proportion of oleic acid in CE and PL. The consumption of candy was directly associated with the proportion of palmitoleic and oleic acid in plasma CE. The consumption of vegetable oil-based margarine was inversely associated with estimated stearoyl-CoA-desaturase activity in plasma CE and PL and the consumption of candy was directly related to it in plasma CE. The results of our study suggest that plasma FA composition is not only a biomarker for dietary fat quality but also reflects the consumption of high-fiber grain products and foods high in sugar among children. 相似文献

Secondary treated tannery wastewater contains high concentrations of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and other residual organic impurities, which cannot be removed by conventional treatment method. A pilot plant membrane system with a designed processing capacity of 1 m3/h, comprising of nano and reverse osmosis (RO) membrane units, accompanied by several pre-treatment operations, was evaluated in order to further treat and reuse the tannery wastewater. The maximum TD S removal efficiency of the polyamide RO membrane was more than 98%. The permeate recovery of about 78% was achieved. The water recovered from the membrane system, which had very low TDS concentration, was reused for wet finishing process in the tanneries. The reject concentrate obtained from the operation was sent to solar evaporation pans. It was evident from the study that the membrane system can successfully be applied for recovery of water from secondary treated tannery effluent, provided a suitable and effective pretreatment system prior to membrane system is employed. Date fruit is a good source of bioactive compounds and natural sugar. It has the potential to be utilized as a substitute for added sugar. Although several forms of dates—such as fresh dates, date paste, and date syrup—are available in the market and used for different applications, free-flow date powder would be highly beneficial in improving shelf-life, ease of handling, and blendability with various foods prepared domestically and in industry. The objective of this study was to produce date powder in a pilot-scale spray dryer and determine its physicochemical qualities. Date powder was produced at eight processing conditions (2 carrier agents (maltodextrin (MD) and gum arabic (GA) × 2 inlet air temperature (150°C and 170°C) × 2 feedstock flow rates (25 ml/min and 40 ml/min)). To the carrier agent was added at 0.4 kg per 1.0 kg of date fruits (dry weight basis), and the feedstock to the spray dryer was prepared at 20% concentration. Date powder was obtained in all eight treatments. Color (L*a*b* values), moisture content, bulk density, wettability, solubility index, hygroscopicity, microstructure analysis (using scanning electron microscope (SEM)), and total phenolic compounds were determined for the spray-dried date powder. The physicochemical characteristics of date powder varied significantly with respect to the processing conditions. Although physical properties of date powder were significantly affected by the carrier agent, there was no difference in total phenolic compounds between date powders produced with MD and GA. An SEM study revealed that date powder produced with MD had smooth, regular-shaped spherical particles but with severe agglomeration. This paper proposes space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) technique to control a two-phase full bridge voltage source inverter (VSI) having reduced number of static switches with higher phase voltage output. SVPWM gives higher fundamental component amplitude, provides more efficient use of DC supply voltage and generates less harmonic distortion in the output voltages and currents than other pulse width modulation (PWM) techniques. Between asymmetric and symmetric SVPWM only symmetric one is considered so that the harmonic contents are minimized and two different timing sequences and corresponding switching states are proposed. For the implementation three level switching patterns are determined by using software. For real time application these theoretically determined switching signals for the six power transistors are generated by a digital signal processor (DSP) kit and finally the two-phase output voltages are applied to load. The experimental results are found good and in agreement with the theoretical results. Mathematical analysis along with theoretical and experimental performance of the proposed inverter are presented. Total harmonic distortion (THD) and distortion factor (DF) show that the output voltage quality is good enough to apply in any type of practical two-phase load. 相似文献

星载合成孔径雷达(SAR)数据处理中,多普勒特性对于方位向性能以及成像精度都有直接的影响。基于轨道动力学理论,在椭圆轨道情况下,该文导出了同时考虑偏航控制和俯仰控制的多普勒中心频率解析表达式,分别分析了偏航控制和俯仰控制对多普勒中心的影响,提出一种基于椭圆轨道的全零多普勒方法,并用TerraSAR-X轨道参数进行了数值仿真,仿真结果表明,使用该方法后,多普勒中心频率被减小到不超过5 Hz,比传统的偏航导引方法缩小了约一百倍,比基于瞬时圆轨道的全零多普勒方法缩小了5倍,表明了该方法的有效性。 相似文献

该文针对超宽带无线通信中需要设计高速模数转换器的问题,提出了一种欠奈奎斯特采样方法,该方法所要求的采样率仅与信号新息率相关,低于奈奎斯特率1个数量级。基于欠采样得到的离散时间超宽带信号,从理论上推导出信号的傅里叶频谱表达式,由此给出了一种总体最小二乘参数估计算法,能够准确地估计出冲激串信号的幅度和时移;通过将估计出的冲激串信号与高斯单脉冲波形卷积,完成超宽带信号的波形重建。仿真和实验结果表明,该文算法能够准确地重建原始超宽带信号,且算法性能优于现有的零化滤波重建算法。 相似文献

In this paper we address a key problem in many fields: how a structured data set can be analyzed in order to take into account the neighborhood of each individual datum. We propose representing the dataset as a fuzzy relation, associating a membership degree with each element of the relation. We then introduce the concept of interval-contrast, a means of aggregating information contained in the immediate neighborhood of each element of the fuzzy relation. The interval-contrast measures the range of membership degrees present in each neighborhood. We use interval-contrasts to define the necessary properties of a contrast measure, construct several different local contrast and total contrast measures that satisfy these properties, and compare our expressions to other definitions of contrast appearing in the literature. Our theoretical results can be applied to several different fields. In an Appendix A, we apply our contrast expressions to photographic images. 相似文献
