Biomanufacturing processes may be optimized by storing cell culture media at room temperature, but this is currently limited by their instability and change in color upon long-term storage. This study demonstrates that one of the critical contributing factors toward media browning is tryptophan. LC-MS technology was utilized to identify tryptophan degradation products, which are likely formed primarily from oxidation reactions. Several of the identified compounds were shown to contribute significantly to color in solutions but also to exhibit toxicity against CHO cells. A cell-culture-compatible antioxidant, a-ketoglutaric acid, was found to be an efficient cell culture media additive for stabilizing components against degradation, inhibiting the browning of media formulations, and decreasing ammonia production, thus providing a viable method for developing room-temperature stable cell culture media.  相似文献

This study explores the effects of chroma on participants' performance and environmental appraisal of an office. The research was conducted in a full‐scale experimental room designed as a private office where achromatic and chromatic color schemes with coequal values were applied. Sixty participants were assigned tasks and given a questionnaire to appraise the spatial color schemes. The findings show that chroma significantly affects performance and space appraisal. In terms of accuracy and time spent performance scores measured significantly better in the room with the chromatic scheme than those in the room with the achromatic scheme. The office with the chromatic scheme was found to be more pleasant, attractive, satisfying and dynamic than the one with the achromatic scheme, whereas the achromatic scheme was thought to be more formal and harmonious. Categorization of pleasantness, harmony, dynamism and spaciousness by factor analysis also showed differences between the achromatic and chromatic schemes. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 为解决纬编割圈绒织物在服用过程中易脱毛的问题,提高产品舒适性和档次,对纬编割圈绒的毛绒固结牢度进行研究。通过对纬编割圈绒织物底布线圈和脱毛过程受力情况分析认为,选择合适的原料可以提高脱毛过程中需克服的毛绒同纱线间切向阻力,使毛绒不易脱落。同时,从底布紧密度、编织过程、后整理工序等方面阐述了毛绒固结牢度的影响因素,进而提出实际生产中提高纬编割圈绒毛绒固结牢度的相应措施。  相似文献

Many robotic and machine-vision applications rely on the accurate results of stereo correspondence algorithms. However, difficult environmental conditions, such as differentiations in illumination depending on the viewpoint, heavily affect the stereo algorithms’ performance. This work proposes a new illumination-invariant dissimilarity measure in order to substitute the established intensity-based ones. The proposed measure can be adopted by almost any of the existing stereo algorithms, enhancing it with its robust features. The performance of the dissimilarity measure is validated through experimentation with a new adaptive support weight (ASW) stereo correspondence algorithm. Experimental results for a variety of lighting conditions are gathered and compared to those of intensity-based algorithms. The algorithm using the proposed dissimilarity measure outperforms all the other examined algorithms, exhibiting tolerance to illumination differentiations and robust behavior.  相似文献

Abstract

Beech wood has a high frequency of defects such as red heartwood, reaction wood (tension wood). For the experimental measurements four logs without visible defects like red heartwood, which can noticeably affects the measurements' results were qualified. The drying medium temperature in the first phase of the process before the moisture content of the specimens fell below the FSP was maintained at 45?°C. Then, the temperature was gradually increased to the maximum value 65?°C. The results showed that different initial wood moisture content does not affect to final value of tension and normal wood. The colorimetric parameter L* was much higher for tension wood. After steaming, there were greater differences in the colorimetric parameters, respectively, a* and b*. After drying the difference of all colorimetric parameters between tension and normal wood was significantly less. The color changes were only noticed in the surface layers of specimens. Differences were small, and thus, the impact of the tension wood on the color changes was not confirmed. However, since the lightness of tension wood plays a key role for its visual detection, it may be adequate to only measure the lightness parameter (L*).  相似文献

A simple method to identify turbid, sediment-loaded, waters within satellite ocean color imageries was recently proposed (A. Morel and S. Bélanger, Remote Sensing of Environment, 102, (2006), 237-249). Systematic application of this method to the level-3 composites obtained from three ocean color sensors shows that the “turbid” flag is often raised in the open ocean, especially in the sub-tropical oligotrophic gyres, where turbidity is unlikely. In addition these flagged zones migrate with season, and clearly follow the sun declination course. The combination of low chlorophyll waters with a residual sun-glint is at the origin of this artifact. Simple approaches for eliminating such a misleading detection are proposed. The identification and elimination of the bias are also needed in particular for an unambiguous detection of the presence of calcite (coccolithophores) in open waters.  相似文献

Abstract— This letter describes experiments in which a TFT‐LCD was exposed to unilateral acceleration amplitudes of different temporal profiles and durations. The results show that the color gamut is extended by increasing the load amplitude. Following the loading, the color gamut recedes and gradually approaches the reference range.  相似文献
