A translator system for the MATLAB language

A whole‐program MATLAB to C translation system is presented. The paper outlines the motivation for the problem, discusses the system's architecture, its features and limitations. The translator's operation is explained using an example input program. Details are given on how the system implements and specializes some of the language's built‐in primitives. Finally, the paper reports measurements evaluating the execution time and memory usage of the translated sources, and the compilation time required for the translations. A two-stage MMSE multiuser decision feedback detector using successive/parallel interference cancellation

In this paper, we present a novel two-stage minimum-mean-squared-error (MMSE) multiuser decision feedback detector (DFD) for code division multiple access systems working in the frequency-selective multipath fading environment. The first stage of the proposed cascaded structure is the noise-predictive successive DFD (NP-S-DFD), in which the active users are detected successively using the conventional bell labs layered space-time (BLAST) ordering criterion. The second stage includes an adaptive successive/parallel DFD (SP-DFD), which uses the tentative decisions obtained at the first stage for multiuser interference cancellation and data detection. Therefore, the proposed two-stage DFD may be called noise-predictive successive SP-DFD (NP-S-SP-DFD). Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the substantial improvement in the bit error rate performance of NP-S-SP-DFD over the conventional single-stage and cascaded DFDs. It may be inferred that the proposed DFD provides additional performance gain, when the order in which the users are detected is optimized according to the BLAST ordering based on MMSE criterion.     

Electrochemical properties of ultra-long,aligned, carbon nanotube array electrode in organic electrolyte

The electrochemical properties of an electrochemical double-layer capacitor electrode based on an ultra-long (500 μm), aligned, carbon nanotube array (ACNTA) in Et₄NPF₆/propylene carbonate electrolyte are examined. The specific capacitance of the ACNTA electrode in an organic electrolyte is 24.5 F g⁻¹, which is larger than that obtained in an aqueous electrolyte. The results of ac impedance measurements show that the ACNTA electrode gives a high power density and an excellent rate capability in an organic electrolyte. It is shown that the ACNTA electrode has a lower equivalent series resistance and a better rate capability than activated carbon electrode. This is due to the fact that ACNTA possesses a larger pore size and a more a regular pore structure. Both these features are conformed by scanning electron microscopic and nitrogen gas adsorption studies.

卤化银探测器及其某些特性

文中简述了卤化银(主要是溴化银)单晶片的某些特性,氯化银单晶片与此大致相似。作为低温晶体探测器,对~(241)Am-α放射源,分辨率为17%。卤化银晶片是固体电解质,只有Ag离子对输出电信号有贡献,有显著的极化现象。在液氮槽内溴化银晶片的电导率在几个数量级内成为可控的,由在室温下外加偏置电压大小所引起的分解状态下的初始电流决定。
