Results of a research project aimed at studying the capability to develop a method (economic and simple) for on-board biodiesel blending detection are described. The method is based on the direct measurement of the Indicated Mean Effective Pressure (IMEP).The study was carried out on a 2.0L four-cylinder “torque-controlled” Euro 5 diesel engine for passenger car (PC) application. This engine, equipped with instrumented glow plug for combustion closed-loop control, represents the state of the art of the diesel engine control technology.Two biodiesels were chosen for the experiments: a rapeseed methyl-ester (RME) and an aged RME, while the conventional diesel fuel was an European (EU) certification diesel fuel.Results indicate generally a good response in blending detection of the method. However, in order to attain an acceptable accuracy, a pre-calibration appears necessary.  相似文献

The aim of this study was the optimization of cone calorimeter to determine the burning behavior of textile fabrics. In particular, the combustion behavior of commercial polyester textile fabrics with varying densities was studied in terms of time to ignition (TTI), heat release rate (HRR), and relative peak (pkHRR) were monitored. Reproducibility and repeatability of the data have been verified by the influence of instrument variable including incident heat flux, the temperature of ceramic backing pads and retaining grid used during sample mounting as well as sample weight (as the number of fabric layers), the density of textiles, and the relative humidity. A low reproducibility has been obtained when a wire grid was not used to stabilize samples during the tests. The effects of these variables on TTI and pkHRR were observed. High‐performance printed circuit board or electronic packaging substrate with low warping particularly at high frequency is the key demand of manufacturers. In the present work, poly(etheretherketone) (PEEK) matrix composites reinforced with untreated micron size aluminum nitride (AlN) and alumina (Al2O3) particles have been studied for dynamic modulus in the temperature range varying from 30 to 250°C. At 48 vol % particles, the room temperature modulus of the PEEK/AlN composites increased by approximately fivefold (~ 23 GPa), whereas it increased by twofold for PEEK/Al2O3 composite. The reinforcing efficiency is more pronounced at higher temperatures. The significant improvement in modulus was attributed to the better adhesion between the matrix and the AlN particles. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Kubat parameter showed that the poor adhesion between the matrix and the Al2O3 particles resulted in comparatively smaller increase in modulus of PEEK/Al2O3, despite higher intrinsic modulus of Al2O3 than that of AlN. SEM showed almost uniform distribution of particles in the matrix. The experimental data were correlated with several theoretical models. The Halpin–Tsai model with ξ (xi) is equal to four correlates well up to 48 vol % AlN composites while ξ is equal to two correlates only up to 18 vol % Al2O3 composites. Guth–Smallwood model also correlates well up to 28 vol % AlN and 18 vol % Al2O3‐filled composites. Durable curcumin‐treated antibacterial polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fabrics (against Staphylococcus aureus) were produced by dyeing with curcumin after surface activation using vacuum ultraviolet excimer lamp at 172 nm. Surface change properties of the exposed fabrics were characterized by surface analysis methods such as wettability, atomic force microscopy, and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Results show an increase in surface hydrophilicity with a water contact angle of the PET fabric reaching 24° after 10 min excimer irradiation, which could be attributed to an increase in carboxyl group formation as confirmed by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurements. Varying concentrations of curcumin were immobilized onto untreated and vacuum ultraviolet‐irradiated PET samples using diffusion method at 90°C, and the treated fabrics characterized using K/S (color strength) values at 440 nm. K/S values increased when the PET surface was subjected to a prior excimer irradiation, because of grafting of curcumin at the PET surface. Increased excimer irradiation time increased grafting of curcumin because the inner fabric fiber surfaces were also more thoroughly treated. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of novel composites based on different ratios of epoxidised cresol novolac (ECN) and 4,4′‐diglycidyl(3,3′,5,5′‐tetramethylbiphenyl) epoxy resin (TMBP) have been prepared with the curing agent 4,4′‐methylenediamine (DDM) and 4,4′‐diaminodiphenylsulfone (DDS), respectively. The investigation of cure kinetics was performed by differential scanning calorimetry using an isoconversional method. The high thermal stabilities of the cured samples were also studied by thermogravimetric analysis. In addition, no phase separation was observed for cured ECN/DDM and ECN/DDS blending with different amounts of TMBP by dynamic mechanical analysis and scanning electron microscopy. Moreover, the cured systems also exhibited excellent impact properties and low moisture absorption. All the results indicate that the ECN/TMBP/DDM and ECN/TMBP/DDS systems are promising materials in electronic packaging. Copyright © 2011 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

综述了近20年来环氧树脂流变学的研究进展。利用流变学来指导环氧树脂的最新应用,包括环氧树脂电子浆料例如底部填充胶(underfill),环氧树脂基复合材料,环氧树脂涂料,环氧树脂黏合剂,环氧树脂与其他树脂/橡胶的复合体系等。环氧树脂体系中的填料规格、加入量以及环氧树脂的固化过程与黏度等流变指数息息相关。随着芯片等领域技术的快速发展,流变学在环氧树脂中的应用还会得到进一步加强。  相似文献
