A three-dimensional (3D) computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model of a contact tank is presented in this paper. The model results are compared against 3D velocities and flow through curve (FTC) data, representing a tracer concentration profile, from a 1:8 scale physical model. The objective is to demonstrate that CFD models can simulate both the FTC and the 3D velocity field quite well. Simultaneous validation of velocities and FTC is important in ascertaining the predictive capabilities of CFD models, as physical model studies indicate that different baffle arrangements can lead to similar FTCs. Therefore, a good prediction of only FTC, as presented in previous 3D CFD model studies, does not necessarily imply a correct simulation of the flow field. 相似文献

The volume of fluid (VOF) methods have been used for numerous numerical simulations. Among these techniques used to define
the moving interface, the piecewise linear interface reconstruction (PLIC-VOF) is one of the most accurate. A study of the
superficial tension impact on two-phase flow with free surface is presented. A new method based on direct staggered grid is
developped to include surface tension in PLIC-VOF. The new numerical curvature calculation method doesn't need smoothed colour
function and leads to less “spurious current”. This technique is applied to the calculus of surface tension force in the case
of the rise of air bubble in viscous liquid and the fall of liquid drop in the same liquid on free surface. Droplets, thin
layer and capillarity waves are observed after the free surface rupture for different Bond number. The influence of surface
tension calculus is then obvioused and when the drop hit the free surface, wavelets propagate toward the virtual boundaries

针对钻井过程中钻遇的盐层段井眼蠕变缩径问题,利用弹塑性力学理论,蠕变本构方程采用Heard蠕变方程,在平面应变和均匀地应力假设下,推导出控制井眼收缩的钻井液密度新公式,该公式与前人推导的公式不同。通过理论分析,指出产生差异的根本原因在于蠕变应力差(极坐标下表示的径向应力与切向应力之差)公式的推导上,用有限元法计算结果对理论公式进行检验,证明是可行的。对文中的力学模型采用有限元法建模、求解,利用求解结果对各应力差公式进行验证,得出:根据文中公式计算结果与有限元法计算结果完全一致,而据前人公式计算结果偏离有限元计算值较大,从而间接证明了该钻井液密度新公式的推导更严密,更准确。 相似文献

渗透率是反映储层渗流能力的重要参数,目前对于单一储层的渗透率表征方法,通常是在岩心分析渗透率或测井解释渗透率的基础上进行厚度加权算术平均。这种方法对于均质的储层来说是适用的,但对于非均质严重的储层,不能准确反映该储层的实际渗流能力。本文提出一种应用可动流体体积权衡表征渗透率的方法,经实际资料验证,能较好地反映储层的实际渗透能力。 相似文献

塔巴庙区块气藏属于低压、低渗气藏,储集层物性差异大、含气级别高,但含气非均质性强,录井解释评价困难。针对这一问题,开展了综合判断储集层物性和含气性方面的研究,分别探讨了钻时与全烃、钻井液性能与全烃、钻井液粘度与全烃、气测显示与测井参数和烃组分与气显示之间的关系,分析了其相关性及其在塔巴庙区块气层解释评价中的意义及作用。通过相关性研究,不但摸索出定性解释评价气层的方法,同时为今后深入研究录井相关参数关系,探索其内在规律,为实现准确解释评价储集层奠定了基础。 相似文献

黄原胶(XG)具有优良的耐盐性和增稠降滤失性能,但耐温性较差。对XG分子结构的分析认为,可利用XG链上的活泼基团接枝丙烯酰胺等乙烯基单体,增强其耐温性能,用作耐温抗盐钻井液处理剂。对比了合成的黄原胶丙烯酰胺等接枝共聚物(XGG)降滤失剂与XG在淡水、4%盐水和饱和盐水钻井液中的增粘降滤失性能和抗温性能,并通过岩心膨胀试验对比了XGG、XG和KCl对页岩的抑制性能。试验结果表明,在淡水钻井液中XGG具有极强的增粘效果和降滤失能力,远远超过XG1随着钻井液矿化度的提高,XGG的性能有一定下降,但XGG在各种钻井液中均具有比XG更好的高温增稠和控制失水的能力;XG已具有优良的抑制性,XGG的抑制性得到进一步提高。 相似文献

The spouted bed is commonly used to dry granular particles as it displays some special characteristics which render it capable of performing cyclic operations, with particles that are very difficult to fluidize under a different type of bed.Information on the characteristic drying rates of cork stoppers is still very limited in the technical and scientific literature, and until now no published data was found on the spouted bed drying of cork stoppers.The characterization of the drying performance of Port wine cork stoppers was carried out in a laboratory scale spouted bed. Characteristic drying curves were determined with 29 mm × 21 mm cork stoppers under several operating conditions. Values for the effective diffusivity were obtained in the range of 1.36 × 10−9 to 4.44 × 10−9 m2/s, with the temperature dependence represented by an Arrhenius-type relationship. In this work, the instantaneous data of inner wall temperatures obtained at given axial positions but for different heated tubes or at various axial positions but at the same heated tube in a tube-bank fluidized bed evaporator with a vapor–liquid–solid external natural circulation flow were analyzed by employing linear and nonlinear time series analysis methods, including correlation dimension and Kolmogorov entropy analyses besides time domain, power spectrum and autocorrelation analyses. It is found that nonlinear characteristics of the wall temperature time series vary with spatial position in the evaporator at given operation conditions, and thus the multi-phase flow boiling behavior. However, the signals obtained at given axial position but different heated tubes in the evaporator exhibit more similar nonlinear evolution behavior, and those measured in the same heated tube but at different axial heights in the evaporator undergo more distinct nonlinear dynamic behavior. Multi-scale phenomena in different spatial positions are also found and discussed. These transient aspects of inner wall temperatures are closely related to the average holdup of solid particles and motion of vapor bubbles in vapor–liquid–solid flow. These results can provide some valuable information on the system modeling and controlling from the point of view of nonlinearity. 相似文献

A two-dimensional model is developed for the determination of devolatilization time and char yield of cylindrical wood particles in a bubbling fluidized bed combustor. By using the concept of shape factor, the model is extended to particles of cuboid shape. The model prediction of the devolatilization time agrees with the measured data (present and those reported in the literature) for cylindrical and cuboidal shaped particles within ±20% while the char yield is predicted within ±17%. Influence of some important parameters namely, thermal diffusivity, external heat transfer coefficient and shrinkage, on the devolatilization time and char yield are studied. Thermal diffusivity shows noticeable influence on devolatilization time. The external heat transfer coefficient shows little influence beyond a value of 300 W/(m2 K). However particle shrinkage shows negligible effect on the devolatilization time but has a significant influence on the char yield. 相似文献
