Effect of 3D lip deformations on elastohydrodynamic lip seals behaviour

The numerical simulation of comparative elastohydrodynamic lubrication between axisymmetrical and 3D elastic approaches on the radial lip seals is presented in order to determine the 3D effect of the elastic aspect of the seal lip. Indeed, the consideration of 3D model in other words the circumferential variation of the lip elastic deformation indicated a difference in the deformation distribution of the lip compared to the axisymmetrical approach. Consequently, the results show that the presence of the circumferential variation of the seal lip deformation has a significant effect on the pumping rate values.

压缩式封隔器胶筒变形阶段力学分析

封隔器是常用试采井下工具,胶筒是封隔器中最重要的部件。将压缩式胶筒的变形分为自由变形和约束变形2个阶段,分析了其绝对体积变化规律,得到了使胶筒刚好与井壁接触的轴向力,据此可以确定最小坐封载荷;得到了井壁和中心管对胶筒的约束压力,在此基础上得到了压缩式胶筒的各个应力分量和第四相当应力,据此可以给出坐封力下胶筒的强度,确定合理的坐封力。实例计算解释了现场封隔器胶筒在坐封载荷作用下损坏的原因。     

An algorithm for the three-dimensional packing problem with asymptotic performance analysis

The three-dimensional packing problem can be stated as follows. Given a list of boxes, each with a given length, width, and height, the problem is to pack these boxes into a rectangular box of fixed-size bottom and unbounded height, so that the height of this packing is minimized. The boxes have to be packed orthogonally and oriented in all three dimensions. We present an approximation algorithm for this problem and show that its asymptotic performance bound is between 2.5 and 2.67. This result answers a question raised by Li and Cheng [5] about the existence of an algorithm for this problem with an asymptotic performance bound less than 2.89. Effect of the particle size ratio on the conductivity of conductor-insulator powder composites: Numerical simulation

A theoretical method for determining the percolation limit and effective conductivity of composites based on polydisperse mixtures of insulator and conductor powders is proposed. The effect of the particle size ratio between the insulator and conductor on the percolation limit and effective conductivity is studied. 钻井泵阀箱密封面CO2堆焊试验研究及应用

介绍了用CO_2堆焊35CrMo钢钻井泵阀箱密封面磨损修复工作,通过试验表明,采用Φ1.2mm的H08Mn2Si焊丝,以短路过渡CO_2焊法施焊,可以获得致密、耐磨的堆焊金属层。该法已成功地用于生产,取得了良好的经济效益。

A note on circle packing

The problem of packing circles into a domain of prescribed topology is considered. The circles need not have equal radii. The Collins-Stephenson algorithm computes such a circle packing. This algorithm is parallelized in two different ways and its performance is reported for a triangular, planar domain test case. The implementation uses the highly parallel graphics processing unit (GPU) on commodity hardware. The speedups so achieved are discussed based on a number of experiments.
