Application of a Three-dimensional Wind Driven Circulation Model to Assess the Locations of New Drinking Water Intakes in Lake Ontario

A 3D transport model is used to perform a comparative analysis of several potential drinking water intakes located along the northwest shore of Lake Ontario between Toronto and Oshawa. The model is specifically used to assess each intake under both long- and short-term transport of a potential pollutant release from the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station and potential and actual pollutant releases from local land sources respectively. A model based on a 500 m grid resolution is calibrated using data collected in the aftermath of the 1992 tritium spill at the Pickering Nuclear Generation Station and subsequently used to simulate long-term transport. A model based on a 100 m grid resolution is verified using drogue studies and used to simulate short-term transport events. Both models are used to assess pollutant levels at each of nine potential intake locations under different wind scenarios and pollutant releases. Field data for the study included water quality and flow measurements from local sewers and rivers, and estimates of pollutant levels from the local waste water treatment plants. This paper describes the model setup for both the long-term and short-term transport models, calibration using field data, long-term transport modeling, short-term transport modeling, and the comprehensive analysis approach used to evaluate the nine potential intake locations proposed. Results indicated that four intakes in particular outperformed other intake locations by maintaining bottom pollutant levels within governmental standards and warning times that exceeded 20 hours.

河流二维水质模型与地理信息系统的集成研究

根据水质预测、管理的不同需求,提出基于二维对流扩散方程的三种水质计算模式:连续点源排放水质模型,瞬时点源排放水质模型,有限体积法求解的数值解水质模型。基于MO进行GIS系统的组件式开发,实现了GIS平台下河势贴体河道二维正交网格的自动生成,解决了二维水体的空间网格离散问题。在此基础上,将三种类型的二维水质模型模块与GIS平台集成,以更好满足水质预测与管理在水质模型计算方式选取、计算精度与实现效率等方面的需求。     

Postharvest Microbiology of Farm-reared, Tropical Freshwater Prawn (Macrobrachium Rosenbergii)

ABSTRACT: The microbiological quality of farm-reared, tropical freshwater prawn ( Macrobrachium rosenbergii ) stored at 2 different temperatures was studied. The prawn muscle was found to have the initial bacterial load of 10⁴ cfu/g. The lactics and vibrios were in the range of 10² cfu/g, while the E. coli , aeromonads, staphylococci, anaerobes, and molds were in the level of 10¹ cfu/g. Salmonella and Vibrio cholerae were present in the prawn muscle. The prawn muscle held at room temperature (28 ± 2 °C) was organoleptically acceptable up to 8 h, when the bacterial load was more than 10⁶ cfu/g. However, the prawn muscle stored at freezer temperatures (−10 to −15 °C) was found to be in acceptable condition even after 30 d of storage and the bacterial load was fluctuating in the range of 10³ to 10⁴ cfu/g.     

3G中的QoS结构及无线资源分配策略

在3G（第3代移动通信系统）中，为了给不同类型的业务提供不同级别的端到端QoS，网络资源必须进行合理分配。QoS和资源分配是密不可分的，而无线资源分配显得尤为重要。文中提出了UMTS的QoS结构，分3部分对空中接口部分的QoS（即无线资源分配策略问题）进行了讨论：首先提出了一种RRA算法，接着讨论了W－CDMA和TD－CDMA系统的无线资源分配问题，最后讨论了下行链路及上行链路的呼叫允许控制（CAC）。

掺炼糠醛抽出油生产高质量沥青

掺炼糠醛抽出油，改变了丙烷脱沥青装置原料性质，通过调整部分操作参数，可提高轻脱油和重脱油的收率，改善脱油沥青质量，直接生产出合格的高标号道路沥青。     

加油站油品常见质量事故分析

分析了中油站产生一些油品质量事故的情况和成因。指出加油站油品的质量事故主要是管理不善，要杜绝加油站油品质量事故，必须坚持执行《中国石油化工集团销售企业油品质管理办法》。     

云南省水环境状况及问题分析

根据2000年云南省主要河流水质监测评价结果，全省评价河段总长9280km中，水质为Ⅰ－Ⅲ类的河长占76．3％，总体上，云南省内各大水系水质良好，但水污染总体上正在加重，从1985－2000年，Ⅰ类河长年均减少2．3％，V类河长年均增长0．6％，废污水直接排入江河是引起污染的重要原因。水环境问题已成为社会经济可持续发展的关键问题，要切实加强水资源的保护，科学地开发利用水土资源，为了有效地改善水环境的质量，污染控制应从源头开始并采取综合治理措施。
