Precise rendering method for exact anti-aliasing and highlighting

This paper introduces the Precise Rendering Method, which generates accurately anti-aliased and highlighted images from tessellated polygons. The Precise Rendering Method first solves the aliasing problems of hidden surface removal by using the Cross Scanline Algorithm. This algorithm can exactly calculate polygon areas projected onto each pixel by using horizontal and vertical scanlines. Aliasing artifacts in shading are then prevented by the Reflection Intergration Method, which analytically integrates the intensity of reflection in the solid angle defined by surface normals at vertices of the projected area. Several synthesized images are created to show the efficiency of the Precise Rendering Method.     

Burned area forecasting using past burned area records and Southern Oscillation Index for tropical Africa (1981-1999)

An 18-year time series of monthly NOAA-AVHRR Pathfinder Land burned area was analyzed for the region of tropical Africa, from July 1981 to June 1999. The transition period between NOAA-11 and NOAA-14 platforms from July 1993 to June 1995 was not included due to missing and outlier data. Stability of the time series was addressed for the input variables in the burned area algorithm, reflectance and temperature channels.A Seasonal AutoRegressive Integrated Moving-Average (SARIMA) model was developed for forecasting potential burned area. The SARIMA model identified an autoregressive regular term with 1-month lag and an autoregressive 12-month seasonal term with one season (12 months) component. A cross-correlation between Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) and burned area was statistically significant predictor variable in a time series with 20-month lag. Results show that the SARIMA model with this predictor improved both, fitting and forecasting, residual variance, by 4.1% and 5.6%, respectively, thereby, demonstrating potential relationship between SOI and burned area for the study region. Forecasting was estimated by considering only the first 16 years of the monthly burned area in the time series, from July 1981 to June 1997. The prediction for the following 24 months (from July 1997 to June 1999) was within the 95% confidence level indicating that the forecast was a valid characterization of the modeled process.

流量测量装置在自动化系统中应用非常广泛,在热力发电厂中流体的流量直接反映负荷高低、工作状况和运行效率。基于不同测量原理的装置其应用场合也不尽一样,在风量控制领域近几年也出现了十几种形式各异的产品,各种产品都有其自身的优缺点。分析了各种装置的原理及优缺点,重点介绍了一种新型的基于面积流测量原理的测量装置。     

Patterns of Fos-like immunoreactivity in the brains of parent ring doves (Streptopelia risoria) given tactile and nontactile exposure to their young.

Neuronal activation was examined by fos immunohistochemistry in ring doves (Streptopelia risoria) reunited with their young after overnight separation. In an initial study, squab-exposed parents showed more fos immunoreactivity (ir) in the preoptic area (POA) and lateral hypothalamus (LH) than squab-deprived parents. In a 2nd study, parents allowed free access to young and those separated from young by a wire mesh partition showed more fos-ir in the POA, LH, and lateral septum than box-exposed controls. Contact with young also increased fos-ir in the medial preoptic nucleus and bed nucleus of the stria terminalis, but noncontact exposure did not. Conversely, nontactile squab exposure stimulated more fos-ir in the POA than did free access to young, which suggests POA involvement in appetitive aspects of parenting. 下扬子北缘前陆盆地经历了印支、燕山、喜山等多期构造改造,构造环境经开裂扩张—碰撞拼合—拉伸断陷等多次转换,最终形成了上部拉伸、中部逆冲推覆、下部拆离滑脱的"三层楼阁"式分层构造变形组合的构造几何学模式.其构造变形主要受中三叠世扬子地块与华北地块的陆—陆碰撞造山作用控制,具有横向上强弱分带、垂向上形变分层的特征.可划分为伸展变形、冲断褶皱变形、拆离滑脱变形等3种构造变形样式.      

提高00Cr18Ni10钢焊缝抗裂性的研究

采用高含铬量超低碳不锈钢焊丝和专门研制的含铬陶质型焊剂两种方案研究了００Ｃｒ１８Ｎｉ１０不锈钢坦弧自动焊时焊缝的抗裂性，试验结果表明：以上两种途径，均可有效地防止焊缝金属中出现表面热裂缝。采用后者更为经济，现已用于生产。     

磨削加工中磨削液对砂轮堵塞影响的试验分析

砂轮堵塞是影响砂轮耐用度的重要指标，磨削液在磨削加工中起到润滑、冷却、清洗等作用，对砂轮的堵塞有着较大影响．文章通过试验，分析了磨削液对砂轮堵塞的原因．

以天津石化公司长输管道防护设计为例 ,介绍了滨海地区埋地管道的强腐蚀特性。通过对管道腐蚀机理的分析和防护方法的比较 ,确定了上述地区长输管道腐蚀防护设计的要点。     

廊固凹陷异常压力与天然气的分布和产出关系

重点阐述异常压力对天然气的分布影响关系。以冀中地区廊固凹陷第三系地层为研究对象，对异常压力的分布特征、天然气聚集区的异常压力与天然气产量关系等进行了分析。通过分析认为，异常压力与天然气分布聚集规律有着密切联系，分析的天然气分布聚集与产出规律对勘探开发有指导作用。
