CD++: a toolkit to develop DEVS models

The features of a toolkit for modeling and simulation based on the DEVS formalism are presented. The tool is built as a set of independent software pieces running on different platforms. Not only are the main characteristics of the environment presented, a focus on its use is also considered by inclusion of application examples for a variety of problems. Many models can be defined in an automated fashion, simplifying the construction of new models and easing their verification. The use of this formal approach has allowed the development of safe and cost‐effective simulations, significantly reducing development time. Copyright © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

蒸汽减压站自控系统的巧设计

蒸汽是石油化工装置中最重要的物料。随着石油化工工业的迅猛发展 ,蒸汽在其中扮演着越来越重要的多重角色。因此 ,对蒸汽系统的平稳控制 ,对石油化工生产装置平稳、高效地运行是至关重要的。传统的蒸汽减压站自控系统基建投资大 ,紧急情况下靠人工手动操作稳定蒸汽压力系统 ,往往造成生产的波动或大面积的停车。针对传统蒸汽减压站自控系统的弱点 ,提出蒸汽减压站自控系统的优化设计方案 ,该方案得以在大型生产装置成功应用。新方案不但节省了大量的基建投资 ,而且取得了良好的生产效益     

A robust adaptive pole‐placement controller without strictly positive real condition

This paper considers the adaptive pole‐placement control problem for system (1) with unmodelled dynamics η_n dominated by a small constant ε multiplied by a quantity independent of ε but tending to infinity as the past input, output, and noise grow. Using bounded external excitation and randomly varying truncation techniques, we give a design method of adaptive pole‐placement controller. It is shown that the closed‐loop system is globally stable, the estimation error for the parameter contained in the modelled part is of order ε, and the closed‐loop system under the adaptive pole‐placement control law is suboptimal in the sense of $$\mathop{\lim\sup}\limits_{{n\to\infty }}{1\over n}\mathop{\sum}\limits_{i=0}^n{\left({A^{*}(z)y_{n}‐L(z)C(z)w_{n}‐B(z)R(z)y_{n}^{*}}\right)^{2}{\leq}O({\varepsilon}^{2})+\gamma^{2}\mathop{\sum}\limits_{j=1}^q{b_{j}^{2}}}$$\nopagenumbers\end while the SPR condition used usually in other papers is replaced by a stability condition. The interpretation of the data that is available, and also of the root problems themselves, is itself a difficult problem. This paper has been written as a literature review which it is hoped that other researchers can take either as a starting point or as a refresher.     

电潜泵中压变频调速系统的改进

电潜泵中压变频器输出端产生高次谐波和脉冲电流 ,对电潜泵电动机的绝缘性能和轴承寿命造成不利影响。为此 ,提出 3项改进对策 :①采用谐振软性开关逆变电路 ,使功率开关器件在零电压条件下导通 ;②在变频器逆变输出端设置电抗滤波器抑制高次谐波电流 ;③改变电动机内部结构 ,如加大定子槽宽 ,增加转子导条尺寸 ,变星接法为星 角接法 ,采用绝缘轴承等。实践证明 ,采取改进对策后 ,不仅提高了电潜泵的产量 ,而且变频器滤波后电动机端的过电压明显减小 ,电潜泵和电缆的寿命延长     

Electronic properties of Fibonacci quasi-periodic heterostructures

We study the electronic states of different GaAs-AlAs Fibonacci quasi-perodic heterostructures grown along the (001) direction. We employ an empirical tight-binding Hamiltonian including spin-orbit coupling together with the surface Green function matching method. We present results for the eighth Fibonacci generation formed from different building blocks. We compare these results with those of the constituent quantum wells and with those of heterostructures containing the same number of GaAs and AlAs slabs after periodic repetition of the building blocks. No Fibonacci spectrum is found in the energy regions near the conduction and valence band edges of GaAs. A selective localization of the local density of states in the GaAs layers is found for many electronic states.
