In recent years, Hopfield neural networks using Clifford algebra have been studied. Clifford algebra is also referred to as geometric algebra, and is useful to deal with geometric objects. There are three kinds of Clifford algebra with degree 2; complex, hyperbolic, and dual‐numbered. Complex‐valued Hopfield neural networks have been studied by many researchers. Several models of hyperbolic Hopfield neural networks have also been proposed. It has been difficult to construct dual‐numbered Hopfield neural networks. In this work, we propose dual‐numbered Hopfield neural networks by modification of hyperbolic Hopfield neural networks with the split activation function. In this paper, the geometry‐electromagnetic character, thermal condition of the coils, and encapsulation number are coupled in the optimization design of an air core reactor, to realize the minimum usage of metal conductor. Combined with the equality constraint conditions for maximum temperature rise conservation, inductance conservation, and structure function of the reactor, the optimization design curves and results are achieved based on the initial design parameters. According to the design results, the temperature field simulation model of the reactor is established, and the results verify the correctness of the optimization method. Compared with the design method of ‘equal height and heat flux’ and thermal‐electromagnetic character without considering the change of encapsulation number, the proportionality factor of metal conductor usage is 0.73 with the optimization method. It shows that the optimization method can significantly improve the utilization ratio of the conductor. Meanwhile, the influence of regularity on the electromagnetic efficiency, thermal efficiency, and other parameters is also obtained. © 2018 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. Multicriteria decision making (MCDM) has been attracting attention in recent years. There are two essential directions in the research territory, one direction is the research of representation of evaluation information and another is the construction of ranking function. In this paper, we consider some nonstandard fuzzy sets, intuitionistic, and interval‐valued fuzzy sets. Especially, the Pythagorean membership grade and Pythagorean fuzzy set receive much attention. Then, to reflect the importance of principal value, we shall propose the principal‐value Pythagorean fuzzy number (p‐PFN) and principal‐value Pythagorean fuzzy set. Furthermore, a novel ranking function is constructed to select the ideal alternative(s) based on p‐PFNs in MCDM. Finally, an investment strategy decision‐making problem is proposed to reveal the availability and practicability of the function under the new environment. 相似文献

In the application of Z‐number, how to generate Z‐number is a significant and open issue. In this paper, we proposed a method of generating Z‐number based on the OWA weights using maximum entropy considering the attitude (preference) of the decision maker. Some numerical examples are used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. Results show that the attitude (preference) of the decision maker can give an optimal possibility distribution of the reliability for Z‐number using maximum entropy. 相似文献

Copper slag (CS) is a by-product of the copper extraction process, which can be used as coarse and/or fine aggregate in hot mix asphalt (HMA) pavements. This study used CS as a replacement of the fine aggregate with a percentage of up to 40% by total aggregate weight. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of CS on the rutting potential of the asphalt concrete mix using two methods. One method is based on the Dynamic modulus |E*| testing result. Actual pavement temperature data from a test section were used with the developed |E*| master curves. EverStressFE finite element program was used to perform a linear elastic load-deformation analysis for a pavement section and to determine the vertical resilient strain in a 40-mm HMA surface layer. The M-E PDG permanent deformation model was used with and Excel Visual Basic for Applications code to predict the accumulated rutting for different CS mixes for 10 million ESALs. The other method used the data from the flow number (FN) test. Based on the |E*| approach, the results indicated that adding 5% CS in the mix increased the predicted rutting from 0.59 to 0.98 mm at 10 million ESALs (increase by 68%). When 40% CS was used, rutting increased by more than 700% compared with the control mix. After analysing the FN results with the Francken model, the results indicated a decrease in FN as CS content is increased, indicating higher rutting potential. The decrease in FN ranged from 9% for 5% CS to 95% for 40% CS. The mixes containing up to 10% CS satisfied the minimum FN criteria for rutting. A calibration process for the M-E PDG distress prediction models that allows the use of waste and by-product materials such as CS should be considered in the future. 相似文献

Four hydrocarbon-base gasolines (BG) were formulated from the local refinery streams; isomerate, reformate, and light naphtha. The formulations were enriched in reformate. Each of these BG formulations was blended with 10 vol% of anhydrous ethanol. From ASTM-D86 distillation data, eight distillation curves were constructed and the trend line equations of these distillation curves were developed. Also, the area under each distillation curve (AUDC) was calculated through calculus definite integration technique. Subsequently, the area due to azeotrope formation (ADAF) for each BG-ethanol blend was estimated. In this paper, the influence of increasing reformate proportions on the created positive azeotrope, was studied. Also the influence of increasing reformate proportions on vapor pressure, Temperature for the vapor-liquid ratio of 20, T50 and octane number was studied. The results show that the R2 values of the distillation curve equations prove the reliability of the fits. Also, increasing reformate proportion in the fuel blend improves the octane number while increasing reformate proportion decreases the volatility of the fuel formulation. 相似文献

AbstractThe equipment failures are highly uncertain in nature and simple average failure rate will not reflect this uncertainty. The uncertainty level further increases in reliability evaluation due to the integration of wind farm (WF) because of the intermittent nature of wind speed and random charging patterns of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs). In this work, the uncertain variables in the distribution system (failure rate, repair time, WF output, PEVs charging and system load factor) are represented as fuzzy numbers to handle the uncertainty. The available uncertain data are used to find the probability distribution function (PDF) of that parameter and is converted into fuzzy membership function using transformation techniques. Failure rate of equipment is converted into failure probability using Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) method. Sampling method is applied to create the PDF of a variable which has average value. Fuzzy severity index (FSI) is proposed to find the importance of an equipment on reliability and is evaluated by measuring the fuzzy distance between the fuzzy reliability indices. The proposed assessment method is validated on modified RBTS bus 2 by comparing with analytical and MCS methods. The proposed method has been tested with integration of WFs and PEVs. 相似文献

The ignition of a finite planar 1‐dimensional solid is addressed for constant applied radiant heat flux. An ignition temperature criterion is used, with constant properties, and linearized reradiation. An approximate integral analysis leads to analytic formulas to predict the ignition time in terms of Biot (Bi) number and heat flux. The accuracy of the integral solution is found to be good compared to the exact infinite series solution for the conduction equation. The integral model is then used to assess the accuracy of common ideal thick and thin formulas for ignition. There is a domain of heat flux and Bi where the ideal formulas are not accurate. An example is given where the integral model is accurately applied to ignition data to illustrate the range where the ideal formula is not accurate. 相似文献

When solving a mathematical problem, students who do not have sufficient conceptual understanding may perform poorly and exhibit misconceptions. This study was aimed to examine students' conceptual understanding and significant misconceptions when solving number sense‐related problems. An online three‐tier diagnostic test was administered to 125 fifth‐grade students with varied socio‐economic backgrounds in Hong Kong. Only 14.40% of the students exhibited high performance with high confidence, indicating that these students had a profound conceptual understanding of number sense. In addition, the majority of the students (66.40%) did not demonstrate number sense; these students exhibited several significant misconceptions and could solve the questions only by using a rule‐based method or guessing. Accordingly, most students performed unsatisfactorily on number sense‐related problems. This study is imperative in identifying early predictors and provides information for further compatible interventions in the teaching and learning of number sense in Hong Kong in particular and worldwide in general. 相似文献
