Smart TV (STV), a new digital television service, has been rapidly developing, particularly in Korea. With the conceptual model of interactivity, this study empirically investigates the effects of perceived interactivity on the motivations and attitudes towards STV in Korea. The model is created to validate the relationship of perceived interactivity to performance, attitude and intention. Further, the model examines the mediating roles of perceived interactivity in the effect of performance on attitude towards STV. Empirical evidence supports the mediating role of perceived interactivity. Implications of the findings are discussed in terms of building a theory of interactivity and providing practical insights into developing a user-centred STV interface.  相似文献

A new procedure is proposed to extend tool life. The new procedure uses a Smart Workpiece Holder (SWH), which monitors the cutting force and reduces the metal removal rate when it predicts tool breakage possibility. The response includes a quick move in the opposite of the feed direction by using a piezo-electric actuator and by reducing the feed rate. The proposed system was tested with mild steel and aluminum workpieces. Based on the experimental results, better than 50% of the tool breakage cases could be predicted and tool life can be increased more than 30%.  相似文献

Four novel cylinder-ligament honeycombs are described, where each cylinder has 3 tangentially-attached ligaments to form either a hexagonal or re-entrant hexagonal cellular network. The re-entrant cylinder-ligament honeycombs are reported for the first time. The in-plane linear elastic constants and out-of-plane bending response of these honeycombs are predicted using finite element (FE) modelling and comparison made with hexagonal and re-entrant hexagonal honeycombs without cylinders. A laser-crafted re-entrant cylinder-ligament honeycomb is manufactured and characterized to verify the FE model. The re-entrant honeycombs display negative Poisson’s ratios and synclastic curvature upon out-of-plane bending. The hexagonal and ‘trichiral’ honeycombs possess positive Poisson’s ratios and anticlastic curvature. The ‘anti-trichiral’ honeycomb (short ligament limit) displays negative Poisson’s ratios when loaded in the plane of the honeycomb, but positive Poisson’s ratio behaviour (anticlastic curvature) under out-of-plane bending. These responses are understood qualitatively through considering deformation occurs via direct ligament flexure and cylinder rotation-induced ligament flexure.  相似文献

Opportunities and challenges in the petrochemical industry and the emergence of massive disruptive technologies have triggered a new revolution that has the power to fundamentally change industrial processes including manufacturing, engineering, materials, supply chains, lifecycle management. Recently, the newly arisen smart factory adopted a disruptive manufacturing methodology and has become a key part of the petrochemical industry. The smart factory, which is different from the original production systems used in the petrochemical industry, needs to assess and position its future research agenda including its definition, intension, framework, and technology. Systems thinking and systems problem solving for the smart factory must be prioritized. Based on an analysis of the driving force for smart factory development, this paper proposes a lifecycle blueprint and consensus-based operating and technology roadmap. The definition and features of a smart factory in the petrochemical industry are presented. Furthermore, a summary of the technical systems and future-proof research field of the smart petrochemical factory from an academic and industrial viewpoint is presented.  相似文献

In this research pull-out specimens were tested to investigate the bond behavior of superelastic NiTi (Nitinol) SMA wires to carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP). A total of 45 pull-out specimens were tested monotonically up to failure. The test parameters considered include the wire diameter and embedment length. A digital image correlation (DIC) system was used to identify the onset and propagation of debonding. Based on the experimental observations two debonding mechanisms were observed: complete debonding after the onset of martensitic transformation of SMA wire, and complete debonding before the onset of wire transformation. The former mechanism predominated, while the latter mechanism governed for larger diameter wires with shorter embedment lengths. A 3-D non-linear finite element model (FEM) was developed to predict the pull-out behavior. A cohesive zone model (CZM) was used to model the interface. A parametric study was conducted using the FEM to quantify the parameters of the cohesive zone model. The results demonstrate that the proposed modeling approach can be used to characterize the bond behavior of superelastic SMA wires embedded in FRP composites.  相似文献
