The bivariate spectral quasilinearization method (BSQLM) on overlapping grids is presented and applied in the analysis of unsteady magnetohydrodynamic mixed convection flow of Eyring‐Powell fluid over an oscillatory stretching sheet embedded in a non‐Darcy porous medium with nonlinear radiative heat flux and variable thermophysical properties. The fluid properties, namely the fluid viscosity, thermal conductivity, and mass diffusivity, are assumed to vary with temperature. It is assumed that the first‐order chemical reaction with heat generation/absorption takes place in the flow. The flow domain is subject to uniform transverse magnetic field perpendicular to the stretching surface. The transformed flow equations are solved numerically using BSQLM on overlapping grids. The convergence properties and accuracy of the method are assessed. The proposed method is computationally efficient, and it gives stable and highly accurate results after few iterations and using few grid points in each subinterval. The improved accuracy rests upon the use of the overlapping grid, which produces sparse coefficient matrices that are easy to invert and have small condition numbers. The effects of physical parameters on the flow fields, local skin friction, the Nusselt number, and the Sherwood number are exhibited through graphs and tables. Amongst other findings, we found that the amplitude of the fluid flow along with flow characteristics may efficiently improve through the utilization of variable fluid viscosity. Heat and mass transportation processes enhance with the inclusion of nonlinear radiative heat flux, temperature‐dependent thermal conductivity, and mass diffusion coefficient, whereas they diminish with the increase in the local inertia coefficient. The current flow analysis can be useful in various engineering applications including paper production, polymer solution, glass blowing, extrusion of thermal system manufacturing process, and heat transportation enhancement.  相似文献

This contribution examines the influence of Soret and Dufour on an incompressible viscous fluid flow across a vertical cone. The flow model is framed in the form of mathematical governing equations and a nondimensionalization is performed on them for ease of the numerical computations' examination; the obtained nonsimilarity equations are solved numerically through the bivariate Chebyshev spectral collocation quasi-linearization method. Outcomes of the flow characteristics, velocity, temperature, concentration, skin friction rate, heat, and mass transfer rates are analyzed with the variations of governing parameters, Prandtl number, buoyancy parameter, Schmidt number, buoyancy ratio, Soret and Dufour parameters at various stream-wise spots of the flow. To certify the exactness of the listed computations, we performed a comparison with prior published computations, which were found with great agreement, and the residual analysis study was also portrayed to reflect the convergence and stability of the adopted numerical technique.  相似文献

Many multivariate interpolation schemes require as data values of derivatives that are not available in a practical application, and that therefore have to be generated suitably. A specific approach to this problem is described that is modeled after univariate spline interpolation. Derivative values are defined by the requirement that a certain functional be minimized over a suitable space subject to interpolation of given positional data. In principle, the technique can be applied in arbitrarily many variables. The theory is described in general, and a particular application is given in two variables. A major tool in the implementation of the technique is the Bézier-Bernstein form of a multivariate polynomial. The technique yields visually pleasing surfaces and is therefore suitable for design applications. It is less suitable for the approximation of derivatives of a given function.  相似文献

Abstract

This article provides a procedure for using the bivariate normal distribution to describe the joint distributions of correlated flood peaks and volumes as well as correlated flood volumes and durations. The Box-Cox transformation (power-transformation) method is used to normalize original marginal distributions of flood peaks, volumes, and durations regardless of the original forms of these distributions. The power-transformation parameter is estimated using the maximum likelihood method. The joint cumulative distribution function, the conditional cumulative distribution function, and the associated return periods can be readily obtained based on the bivariate normal distribution. The method is tested and validated using observed flood data from the Batiscan River basin in the province of Quebec, Canada. The resulting theoretical distributions show a good fit to observed ones.  相似文献

双变量联合分布及重现期计算是水文干旱研究的重要内容。根据游程理论确定水文干旱事件,利用Copula函数建立干旱历时和烈度的联合分布,计算不同干旱事件的重现期。实例分析结果表明,联合分布可以考虑干旱历时与烈度不同组合情况,计算的联合重现期大于边际分布计算结果,泾河和北洛河最长历时干旱事件联合重现期为480 a和342 a。  相似文献

针对乳腺MR图像组织复杂、灰度不均匀、难分割的特点,本文提出双树复小波(DTCWT)变换结合密度聚类的图像分割方法.首先利用复小波域双变量模型结合各向异性扩散函数对图像进行去噪处理;进而通过简单线性迭代聚类(SLIC)算法将图像划分成一定数量的超像素区域,根据事先设置的阈值搜索每个超像素的近邻,从而降低基于K近邻的密度峰值快速搜索聚类(KNN-DPC)算法寻找每个样本近邻的时间;最终,引入超像素区域的近邻信息度量样本密度,采用KNN-DPC算法的分配策略自适应聚类.仿真和临床数据分割结果表明,所提算法能有效的实现乳腺MR图像的分割.  相似文献

为全面提取转子故障时振动信号特征,提高故障诊断的可靠性,提出了一种基于全矢包络谱的旋转机械故障诊断方法。首先,利用正交采样技术获取转子同一截面上互相垂直的振动信号,将其组成复数信号;然后,运用基于能量阀值的二元经验模态分解(BEMD)将复数信号分解成系列复固有模态函数分量(CIMFs),利用希尔伯特变换(HT)解调CIMFs获得复包络信号;最后,通过全矢谱技术融合复包络信号得到全矢包络谱,在此基础上,进行故障诊断。柔性转子和高炉煤气余压透平发电装置故障诊断结果证明了所提方法的有效性和可行性。  相似文献

古典的复合Poisson风险模型主要考虑了同一类风险构成的风险模型,但是由于现阶段保险公司经营的规模不断扩大,因此,用单一险种的风险模型来描述风险经营具有一定局限性.将古典模型的框架打破,构造了一个更加切合实际的风险模型.在该风险模型中,允许2类相关风险同时存在.建立了具有2类相关索赔的二元风险模型,经验证表明,在2类相关风险的索赔额构成的二维索赔额随机变量互斥的情形下,当索赔总次数服从Poisson过程时,2类索赔过程分别服从Poisson风险过程.  相似文献

提出了一种基于Thiele-Thiele型有理向量插值的彩色图像插值方法。将数字图像的每一个像素点看成是一个平面域的关于RGB三原色的一个向量,在矩形网格上利用Samelson逆与倒差商技巧,根据图像的像素特征构造Thiele-Thiele型二元向量连分式有理插值函数,然后对插值曲面进行采样以实现缩放。采用该算法可以得到更加清晰的放大图像。实验结果表明,该方法是一种有效的图像缩放方法。  相似文献
