On solving systems of ordinary differential equations on MIMD-computers

The error of solution of Cauchy problems for systems of ordinary differential equations is estimated in the case where the input data are approximate. It is shown how to prepare a program for computing the right-hand sides of the system automatically and simultaneously. Hydrogen production in solid electrolyte membrane reactors (SEMRs)

In the present work, the prospects and trends of solid electrolyte membrane reactors (SEMRs) towards hydrogen production, are discussed. Initially, an overview of the principles, the properties and the techniques related to the usage of the SEMRs, are presented. In the following, a literature survey covering earlier and recent developments of the various methods (e.g. reforming or partial oxidation or dehydrogenation of hydrocarbons, steam electrolysis) employed in the SEMRs for the production of hydrogen, is performed. Finally, the current status of this research field is analyzed and future research topics are proposed.     

A simple polyol synthesis of silver metal nanopowder of uniform particles

Silver metal has been synthesized in form of a finely divided loose nanopowder, 10–30 nm particle sizes, using a simple polyol process. In hot water, polymer molecules of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) induce Ag⁺ → Ag reaction as a weak reducer (suitable to control the final particle size), forming a nanofluid of Ag nanoparticles in situ dispersing in part of PVA molecules. Ag nanoparticles do not aggregate much when casting a viscous Ag–PVA nanofluid (hot) onto a substrate in thin laminates or films. Freestanding Ag–PVA films could be obtained of 1–5 mm thickness after drying at room temperature. Dried sample can be easily peeled from a silicate glass substrate. As small as 5–10 mm Ag–PVA pieces were heated in air in order to recollect Ag nanoparticles by burning off the polymer. At 300–400 °C, Ag–PVA disintegrates and encounters combustion in air, resulting in a pure Ag-powder. As analyzed by X-ray diffraction, a single crystalline phase of an Fm3m cubic crystal structure formed. Lattice parameter a = 0.4071 nm and density ρ = 10.61 g/cm³ compare well the bulk values a = 0.4086 nm and ρ = 10.50 g/cm³.

Recent advances in isotropic conductive adhesives for electronics packaging applications

Isotropic conductive adhesives (ICAs) have recently received a lot of focus and attention from the researchers in electronics industry as a potential substitute to lead-bearing solders. Numerous studies have shown that ICAs possess many advantages over conventional soldering such as environmental friendliness, finer pitch printing, lower temperature processing and more flexible and simpler processing. However, complete replacement of soldering by ICAs is yet not possible owing to several limitations of ICAs which are mainly related to reliability aspects like limited impact resistance, unstable contact resistance, low adhesion and conductivity etc. Continued efforts for last 15 years have resulted in development of ICAs with improved properties. This review article is aimed at providing a better understanding of ICAs, their principles, performance and significant research and development work addressing the technological utility of ICAs.     

Analysis of Multiphase Flow and Heat Transfer: Pressure Buildup in an Unsaturated Porous Slab Exposed to Hot Gas

This study develops a mathematical model for coupled heat and mass transfer in an unsaturated porous slab exposed to a flowing hot gas. Effects of the initial saturation conditions on associated variables, i.e., total pressure, temperature, moisture content, and multiphase flow, are studied. The Newton-Raphson method based on a finite volume technique is applied. This study emphasizes the influence of initial saturation level and gravitational effect in heat and multiphase flow phenomena associated with this system. Gravity enhances the downward flow of liquid within the porous slab. Pressure buildup occurs near the interface between the wet and the dry zone. However, it appears that the order of magnitude to the total pressure is small. This study explains the fundamental mechanism of multiphase flow that involves heat and mass transfer in a heated unsaturated porous slab.     

圆盘锯机性能提升途径

圆盘锯机在线材厂投入使用时不能满足生产的需要：锯切周期太长，锯片使用性能差，经过对设备进行技术改造和对设备操作规程进行优化，以及在操作上加强管理，使之关键指标大幅度提升，为圆盘锯机的使用改善提供了新的思路。     

快速色谱分析技术在油气勘探中的应用

文章通过对五口井的现场应用介绍，阐述了快速色谱分析技术在油气层识别和解释方面的准确性，探讨了该技术在薄油气层的发现和评价、快速钻进条件下油气层的发现、对油气层全烃组份变化的统一、水平井的地质导向以及排除钻井液添加荆对油气显示的影响五个方面的优势，从而论证了快速色谱分析技术在油气勘探中的应用价值。     

用土壤含水层处理系统去除水库微污染有机物的试验研究

本文针对当前中国饮用水源污染以微污染为主的特点，以北京三家店水库原水和永定河河道砂为研究对象，设计了用于表征土壤含水层处理系统的一维土柱，进行污水净化效果的试验研究。结果表明，土壤含水层处理系统对三家店水库微污染水中的有机物有一定的去除效果，在0．12m／d的水力负荷条件下，对CODMo去除率虽然仅为15％，但是出水达到了地表水Ⅱ类水质标准；对BOD5的去除率达到了55％，可以被有效地去除。渗透速率相同时，水力负荷周期对去除效果的影响不明显，但在保证一定水力负荷的情况下，可适当延长落干期，恢复土壤的渗透能力，达到较好的处理效果。同时，土壤含水层处理系统的净化能力主要发生在土层50cm以内。
