Physico-chemical characterization of hybrid polymers obtained by 2-hydroxyethyl(methacrylate) and alkoxides of zirconium

Hybrid monolithic materials were prepared through polymerisation of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) mixed with zirconium alkoxides (Zr(OBuⁿ)₄, Zr(OPrⁿ)₄ and Zr(OEt)₄), modified by acetylacetonate groups. The molar ratio HEMA/Zr varied between 1 and 4. Thermo-Gravimetry coupled with Mass Spectroscopy (TG-MS) analyses, ¹³C MAS NMR and Dynamical Mechanical Thermal Analysys (DMTA) indicated the polymeric chains were interconnected by the inorganic component.The presence of zirconium alkoxides modified substantially the poly-HEMA properties. Glass transition temperature of hybrid materials derived from butoxy and propoxy was found in the range 50-80 °C, depending on the composition. The typical swelling of p-HEMA in the water, was suppressed by the presence of zirconium compounds. After immersion in distilled water, hybrid polymers showed an initial slight weight increase, followed by a small mass loss, which increases proportionally to the length of alkoxyl group (ethoxide(propoxide(butoxide) and reaches a constant value after about 40 days. The hybrids remained always rigid and transparent. Flexural modulus and strength of about 400-900 and 4-8 MPa were measured.     

岩石物理横波速度曲线计算技术

横波速度是地震勘探中的重要参数。针对实际生产中缺乏横波速度测井曲线资料，利用经验公式计算精确度不高的问题，通过对横波速度计算理论模型的研究分析，选择Blot-Gassman模型法，利用岩石矿物成分、流体成分、孔隙度及密度等测井曲线进行横波速度测井曲线的计算，并对横波速度计算技术和流程进行研究。在实际工区进行了横波速度曲线计算，计算结果与实测横波吻合程度较高，误差小于10％，该技术在储层和流体识别预测的应用中取得了较好效果。     

分布式无线传感器网络通信协议研究

在归纳分布式无线传感器网络研究进展的基础上，给出了综合分布式无线传感器网络技术各个方面的协议体系结构，并在新的体系结构下，系统地阐述了分布式无线传感器网络通信协议研究的进展，介绍了典型的应用案例和国外相关计划的研究情况。最后，指明了这一处于发展初期的研究领域的未来发展方向。     

The Emotional Dog Gets Mistaken for a Possum.

H. D. Saltzstein and T. Kasachkoff (2004) (see record 2004-21519-004) critique the social intuitionist model (J. Haidt, 2001) (see record 2001-18918-008), but the model they critique is a stripped-down version that should be called the "possum" model. They make 3 charges about the possum model that are not true about the social intuitionist model: that it includes no role for reasoning, that it reduces social influence to compliance, and that it does not take a developmental perspective. After a defense of the honor of the social intuitionist model, this article raises 2 areas of legitimate dispute: the scope and nature of moral reasoning and the usefulness of appealing to innate ideas, rather than to learning and reasoning, as the origin of moral knowledge. Implementation of RNS-Based Distributed Arithmetic Discrete Wavelet Transform Architectures Using Field-Programmable Logic

Currently there are design barriers inhibiting the implementation of high-precision digital signal processing (DSP) objects with field programmable logic (FPL) devices. This paper explores overcoming these barriers by fusing together the popular distributed arithmetic (DA) method with the residue number system (RNS) for use in FPL-centric designs. The new design paradigm is studied in the context of a high-performance filter bank and a discrete wavelet transform (DWT). The proposed design paradigm is facilitated by a new RNS accumulator structure based on a carry save adder (CSA). The reported methodology also introduces a polyphase filter structure that results in a reduced look-up table (LUT) budget. The 2C-DA and RNS-DA are compared, in the context of a FPL implementation strategy, using a discrete wavelet transform (DWT) filter bank as a common design theme. The results show that the RNS-DA, compared to a traditional 2C-DA design, enjoys a performance advantage that increases with precision (wordlength).

基于开关电流技术的连续小波变换的实现方法

开关电流技术是一种新的模拟抽样数据处理技术。开关电流电路具有一般电路不具有的优点，与标准数字CMOS工艺兼容。连续小波变换是分析非平稳信号的有力工具，在信号处理上有广泛的应用。本文提出用开关电流技术实现连续小波变换的方法，并用Matlab仿真证明了其理论可行性。

Phase behavior,density, and crystallization of polyethylene in n‐pentane and in n‐pentane/CO2 at high pressures

The phase behavior and volumetric properties of polyethylene (PE) in solutions of n‐pentane and n‐pentane/CO₂ were studied in a temperature (T) range of 370–440 K at pressures up to 60 MPa. Measurements were conducted with a variable‐volume view‐cell system equipped with optical sensors to monitor the changes in the transmitted light intensity as the P or the T of the system was changed. Lower‐critical‐solution‐temperature‐type behavior was observed for all of the liquid–liquid (L–L) phase boundaries, which shifted to higher pressures in solutions containing CO₂. The solid–fluid (S–F) phase boundaries were investigated over a P range of 8–54 MPa and took place in a narrow T range, from 374 to 378 K in this P interval. The S–F phase boundary showed a unique feature in that the demixing temperatures showed both increasing and decreasing trends with P depending on the P range. This was observed in both the PE/n‐pentane and PE/n‐pentane/CO₂ mixtures. The density of these solutions were measured as a function of P at selected temperatures or as a function of T at selected pressures that corresponded to the paths followed in approaching the phase boundaries (S–F or L–L) starting from a homogeneous one‐phase condition.
