Friction compensation controller for load varying machine tool feed drive

The load applied to a machine tool feed drive changes during the machining process as material is removed. This load change alters the Coulomb friction of the feed drive. Because Coulomb friction accounts for a large part of the total friction the friction compensation control accuracy of the feed drives is limited if this nonlinear change in the applied load is not considered. This paper presents a new friction compensation method that estimates the machine tool load in real time and considers its effect on friction characteristics. A friction observer based on a Kalman filter with load estimation is proposed for friction compensation control considering the applied load change. A specially designed feed drive testbed that enables the applied load to be modified easily was constructed for experimental verification. Control performance and friction estimation accuracy are demonstrated experimentally using the testbed.

Preschool Competency in Context: An Investigation of the Unique Contribution of Child Competencies to Early Academic Success.

The present concurrent study combined developmental and ecological considerations to examine the unique contribution of multiple preschool competencies to an indicator of early academic success. Participants included 195 Head Start children from 32 classrooms representative of a large, urban Head Start program. Dimensional (variable-centered) analyses revealed 3 distinct classroom competency dimensions (i.e., General Classroom Competencies, Specific Approaches to Learning, and Interpersonal Classroom Behavioral Problems). The first 2 of these dimensions were found to be uniquely associated with early academic success. Findings from typological (person-centered) analyses supported the dimensional findings. Typological analyses revealed 7 profiles of classroom competency distinguished by high scores on the dimensions of General Competencies and Approaches to Learning, and these profiles were found to relate differentially to the indicator of early academic success. InP基应变补偿结构偏振不灵敏半导体光放大器制作的研究

为了制备偏振不灵敏的半导体光放大器(SOA)，将有源区设计为由4个压应变、3个张应变阱层及晶格匹配的垒层InGaAsP交替组合而成的应变补偿结构。器件做成带有倾角的扇形脊形波导结构，避免了常规制作SOA的复杂工艺。对样品3在80～125mA电流范围内，获得了偏振灵敏度≤0．6dB．最小可达0．1dB；较大的电流范围内FWHM值为40nm。     

一种基于bit位的运动补偿方法

本文讨论了等离子体显示屏所特有的在显示运动画面时出现的伪轮廓线现象，对产生的原因进行了分析并给出了软件模拟的结果。在此基础上，提出了一种基于bit位的运动补偿方法来改善运动图像的画面质量，同时根据人眼的视觉特征对补偿方法做了进一步的优化。最后对基于bit位的运动补偿方法进行了比较和验证，结果表明基于bit位的运动补偿方法可以基本消除运动画面的伪轮廓线现象。

薄膜干涉型光学全通滤波器的设计与分析

设计并分析了用于多信道色谱补偿的薄膜Gires-Tournois干涉仪（GTI）型光学全通滤波（OAPF），讨论了反射镜的膜层结构对器件 的群延迟谱和反射谱的影响，。以及大角度入射引起的偏分离现象和幅度畸变现象，给出了单级和多级串拉OAPF的初步设计结果。     

An automatic torque ripple compensation system for direct drive motors

A serious problem in motion control is the occurrence of torque ripple. Since a direct drive (DD) motor with a magnet rotor uses a rare-earth magnet, the torque ripple is more serious than that of conventional servomotors. This paper presents an auto-compensation of torque ripple using a software-implemented torque observer. The frequency and amplitude of torque ripple can be obtained in the controller by using the estimated torque from an observer, and the autonomous generation of a compensating current component for a torque ripple is possible. The proposed algorithm has been verified by experiments.
