The Structure of Working Memory From 4 to 15 Years of Age.

The structure of working memory and its development across the childhood years were investigated in children 4-15 years of age. The children were given multiple assessments of each component of the A. D. Baddeley and G. Hitch (1974) working memory model. Broadly similar linear functions characterized performance on all measures as a function of age. From 6 years onward, a model consisting of 3 distinct but correlated factors corresponding to the working memory model provided a good fit to the data. The results indicate that the basic modular structure of working memory is present from 6 years of age and possibly earlier, with each component undergoing sizable expansion in functional capacity throughout the early and middle school years to adolescence. 东营凹陷已进入勘探开发成熟期 ,滚动勘探开发是增储稳产的主要手段 ,精细油藏描述是其关键。总结滚动勘探开发的 4种方式 (老区扩边、发现新块、发现新层系和新区滚动勘探开发 ) ,对断块复杂程度提出按每平方千米内所有断层的累加长度划分的新方法 ,从构造描述、储集层描述和油藏描述方面介绍了滚动勘探开发的技术方法。以永 8断块为例 ,在层位标定、反射特征分析、构造描述流程、地震地质分析等方面进行深入分析 ,归纳精细油藏描述的具体方法 ,强调了三维地震数据体的相干分析、属性分析等技术的重要作用。应用这一滚动勘探开发技术 ,使东营凹陷每年新增滚动储量近2 0 0 0× 10 4 t。图 3参 10

Assessing and interpreting personality change and continuity in patients treated for major depression.

Structural, mean- and individual-level, differential, and ipsative personality continuity were examined in 599 patients treated for major depression assigned to 1 of 6 forms of a 6-month pharmaco-psychotherapy program. Covariation among traits from the Five Factor model remained invariant across treatment, and patients described themselves as slightly more extraverted, open to experience, agreeable and conscientious, and substantially more emotional stable after treatment. Trait changes were only to a small extent explained by changes in depression severity. There was evidence for differential, individual-level, and ipsative stability, with stable personality profiles in terms of shape and to a lesser extent in terms of scatter and elevation. Traits remain relatively stable, except for emotional stability, despite the depressive state and the psychopharmacological interventions. A strategy for integrating product conceptualization and bid preparation

Collaboration with other members of the supply chain is one means by which small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) can compete in today’s global business environment. Thus, early stages of the new product development process involve both technical activities, e.g., product platform definition, and commercial activities, e.g., bidding for contracts. This paper introduces an integrated collaborative bidding and design system (CBDS) to help SMEs coordinate the two aspects. General sorting was employed for initial requirements acquisition and platform definition; while a self-organizing map (SOM) neural network was combined with a concurrent cost-schedule estimation strategy for refinement of design options and bid evaluation/preparation. A case study on cellular phone design was then applied for illustrating the proposed prototype system.
