This paper concerns the problem of H∞ filtering for piecewise homogeneous Markovian jump nonlinear systems. Different from the existing studies in the literatures, the existence of variations in transition rates for Markovian jump nonlinear systems is considered. The purpose of the paper is to design mode-dependent and mode-independent filters, such that the dynamics of the filtering errors are stochastic integral input-to-state stable with H∞ performance index. Using the linear matrix inequality method and the Lyapunov functional method, sufficient conditions for the solution to the H∞ filtering problem are derived. This paper focuses on the problems of robust stability and stabilization and robust control for uncertain singular Markovian jump systems with (x,v)‐dependent noise. The parameter uncertainties appearing in state, input, disturbance as well as diffusion terms are assumed to be time‐varying but norm‐bounded. Based on the approach of generalized quadratic stability, the memoryless state feedback controller is designed for the robust stabilization problem, which ensures that the resulting closed‐loop system has an impulse‐free solution and is asymptotically stable in the mean square. Furthermore, the results of robust control problem are derived. The desired state feedback controller is presented, which not only meets the requirement of robust stabilization but also satisfies a prescribed performance level. The obtained results are formulated in terms of strict LMIs. What we have obtained can be viewed as corresponding extensions of existing results on uncertain singular systems. Reliability and time‐to‐failure bounds for discrete‐time constrained Markov jump linear systems 下载免费PDF全文
This paper presents a methodology to obtain a guaranteed‐reliability controller for constrained linear systems, which switch between different modes according to a Markov chain (Markov jump linear systems). Inside the classical maximal robust controllable set, there is 100% guarantee of never violating constraints at future time. However, outside such set, some sequences might make hitting constraints unavoidable for some disturbance realisations. A guaranteed‐reliability controller based on a greedy heuristic approach was proposed in an earlier work for disturbance‐free, robustly stabilisable Markov jump linear systems. Here, extensions are presented by, first, considering bounded disturbances and, second, presenting an iterative algorithm based on dynamic programming. In non‐stabilisable systems, reliability is zero; therefore, prior results cannot be applied; in this case, optimisation of a mean‐time‐to‐failure bound is proposed, via minor algorithm modifications. We consider an M/G/1 queue with different classes of customers and discriminatory random order service (DROS) discipline. The DROS discipline generalizes the random order service (ROS) discipline: when the server selects a customer to serve, all customers waiting in the system have the same selection probability under ROS discipline, whereas customers belonging to different classes may have different selection probabilities under DROS discipline. For the M/G/1 queue with DROS discipline, we derive equations for the joint queue length distributions and for the waiting time distributions of each class. In some biological experiments, it is quite common that laboratory subjects differ in their patterns of susceptibility to a treatment. Finite mixture models are useful in those situations. In this paper we model the number of components and the component parameters jointly, and base inference about these quantities on their posterior probabilities, making use of the reversible jump Markov chain Monte Carlo methods. In particular, we apply the methodology to the analysis of univariate normal mixtures with multidimensional parameters, using a hierarchical prior model that allows weak priors while avoiding improper priors in the mixture context.
