Differential thermal analysis (DTA) was applied to determine the changes in enthalpy and entropy of (NH4)2ZnCl4 and K2ZnCl4 crystals at their phase transition from the orthorhombic normal phase to the incommensurate phase. The temperature of this transition, T i , is 406 K for (NH4)2ZnCl4 and 555 K for K2ZnCl4 and the entropy changes (S/R) are 0.053 and 0.035, respectively. The low value obtained for S/R is characteristic of incommensurate phase transitions. The results were compared with the data reported for other crystals of the A2BX4 family. Thermal properties of the crystals of the A2ZnCl4 subgroup were found to the correlated with the length of A-Cl bonds.  相似文献

Measurements of the thermal conductivities of the frozen layer of aqueous binary solutions have been performed using the transient hot-wire method. Solutions of ethylene glycol and sodium chloride were utilized as the testing fluids, and they were frozen up in the test section in which the platinum wires 40 m in diameter and 170 mm in length were strung. Measurements were carried out under equilibrium at a variety of both the initial concentration of the solution and the temperature of the frozen layer. The expressions of the thermal conductivity of the frozen layer were determined. It was found that the thermal conductivity of the dendritic ice layer was favorably assessed with the Lichteneker's model by introducing the solid fraction under an assumption of the equililbrium within the range of parameters examined.Paper presented at the Tenth Symposium on Thermophysical Properties, June 20–23, 1988, Gaithersburg, Maryland, U.S.A.  相似文献

The minimum flow requirements in the Svartå River in Sweden are directed at maintaining fishlife and providing suitable dilution for waste flows. The implications of varying the minimum flow requirements in the river are examined using a mixed integer optimisation model. The model is formulated as a modified method-of-weights technique with the economic issues of hydro-electricity generation, irrigation and urban water supply placed in the objective function and the minimum flows specified within the constraint set. The integer component of the model is required to model the operating policy at the major flow regulation facility in the system and the restricted validity of the irrigation permits. Application of the model shows that in dry years where competition between minimum flow levels and the other economic uses, is most intense, the levels achieved by the various economic objectives are only slightly reduced even with significant increases in the minimum flow requirements. Variations in minimum flow requirements of up to 45% only produce changes of 10% or less in the economic objectives. The lack of sensitivity of the objective levels is due primarily to the level of control exerted indirectly on the whole system in dry years by the release regulation policy and the restricted validity of the irrigation permits. In normal to wet years these policies are not as restrictive and more choice is available. In such years, however, there is generally sufficient water to satisfy all requirements and allocation is not a critical issue. The model itself is formulated generally so that a range of scenarios beyond those examined specifically in the paper can be considered.  相似文献

Solid-liquid phase equilibria of the benzene + 2-methyl-2-propanol system have been investigated at temperatures from 278 to 323 K and pressures up to 300 MPa using a high-pressure optical vessel. The uncertainties of the measurements of temperature, pressure and composition are within ±0.1 K, ±0.5 MPa, and ±0.001 mole fraction, respectively. The freezing pressure at a constant composition increases monotonously with pressure. The eutectic point shifts to a higher temperature and benzene-rich composition with increasing pressure. In order to describe the pressure-temperature-composition relation of high-pressure solid-liquid phase equilibria, a new simple equation has been proposed as follows:

A three-parameter generalized equation is proposed for surface tension from the triple point to the critical point. This equation not only fits the data well but also is good for interpolation between the normal boiling point and the critical point. This equation is also good for extrapolation to the triple point. This equation has been tested using the surface tension of water from the triple point to the critical point. The constants of this equation obtained using orthobaric surface tensions are given for a number of compounds. The isobaric surface tensions determined at a pressure of 1 atm do not differ significantly from the orthobaric surface tensions. We have investigated the temperature dependence of the electrical transport and the thermogravimetric properties, from -200°C to +1000, of the Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O high-temperature superconductor. We conclude that this system has a cooperative, simultaneous-melting/oxygen desorption/metal-insulator transition that occurs near 900°C. We speculate on its nature and on its relationship to phenomena found in other high-T c superconductors.  相似文献

The validity of the WLF model with fixed "universal" coefficients was tested against that of the model original form with variable coefficients using published coefficients of polymers and amorphous sugars crystallization and viscosity data. The disagreement between the two versions of the model is particularly large at temperature ranges starting about 20 to 30 degrees K above the glass transition or reference temperature, excluding the former from being a model of general applicability. Because the WLF model mathematical structure entails the existence of an almost linear region near the reference temperature, establishment of its validity as a kinetic model and meaningful determination of its constants requires data spread over an extended temperature range, especially when the experimental results have a scatter.  相似文献

Viscosities of several mono-, di-, and trialkylamines have been measured in the temperature range 298 to 333 K. It is observed that viscosities are highly dependent on shape, size, and association through H-bond or through dipole. Following the transition state theory, energy, Gibbs free energy, and entropy of activation of viscous flow have been calculated. The values of expansion energy for these liquids have also been calculated using free volume theory, and subsequently amines have been classified as volume-restrained or energy-restrained liquids. The group contribution method of Van Velzen, Cardozo, and Langenkamp for estimating viscosity has been examined with the present and literature data, and the new group contribution increments N i and B i for amines have been evaluated.  相似文献

针对目前视觉注意选择领域中的谱残余方法(SR)显著图对比度较差、细节显著性检测效果不理想的问题,通过分析图像频谱特性与显著性的关系,提出了一种基于频谱分析的显著性区域检测方法。该方法通过保留傅里叶相位谱并对幅度谱进行分段非线性调谐,达到抑制图像冗余信息、增强图像显著性信息的效果。实验结果表明,本文基于相位谱和幅度谱调谐(PTA)的显著性检测方法得到的显著图较SR方法对比度更高,对显著细节的检测效果也更明显。  相似文献
