In this paper, a new approach to the optimal retrieval of the ocean color based on the variational method is developed by setting up a rational target functional combining with the Broydor Fletcher, Goldfarb, Shanno (BFGS) optimal algorithm. The numerical tests and the exemplary retrievals are carried out and compared with the statistical retrievals and the optimal retrievals based on the genetic algorithm. The results show that this approach enjoys a higher accuracy as compared to the statistical method and a higher efficiency as compared to the genetic algorithm. The optimal retrieval method presented in this paper provides a new idea for the ocean color inversion and could also be used as a reference for the direct assimilation of the satellite data into the ecological models. 相似文献

Multi-operator image resizing can preserve important objects and structure in an image by combining multiple image resizing operators. However, traditional multi-operator methods do not take both horizontal and vertical content-aware resizing potential into consideration, which essentially leads to squeeze/stretch effect in the resultant images. In this paper, we propose a new multi-operator scheme that addresses aforementioned issue by integrating direct and indirect seam carving. Compared with previous methods, the proposed scheme remarkably reduces the cost of deciding when to change operators, by employing a newly defined image artifact measure. Furthermore, we propose a novel seam carving enhancement, named ACcumulated Energy Seam Carving (ACESC), as a basic operator to improve global structure preservation. By combining horizontal and vertical seam carving, our scheme preserves the shapes of important objects well. We present typical results to demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. In this paper, we propose a combination of non-classical pseudospectral and direct methods to find the solution of brachistochrone problem. The method converts the optimal control problem of brachistochrone, into a sequence of quadratic programming problems. To this end, the quasilinearization method is used to replace the nonlinear optimal control problem into a sequence of constrained linear-quadratic optimal control problems; then each of the state variables is approximated by a weighted interpolation function based on the non-classical orthogonal polynomials. The method gives the information of the quadratic programming problems explicitly (the Hessian and the gradient of the cost function). By augmenting error approximations at every restart cycle, this paper presents an accelerating strategy for restarted weighted generalized minimum residual (GMRES) method. We show that the procedure can effectively correct the occurrence of small skip D-angles, which indicates a slow convergent phase. Numerical results show that the new method converges much regular and faster than the weighted GMRES method. Due to typical physiological changes with age, older individuals are likely to have different perceptual responses to and different needs for driver–seat interface design. To assess this, a study was conducted in which a total of 22 younger and older participants completed six short-term driving sessions. Three subjective ratings (comfort, discomfort and overall) were obtained, along with 36 driver–seat interface pressure measures, and were used to assess differences and similarities between the two age groups. For both age groups, localised comfort ratings were more effective at distinguishing between driver seats and workspaces. Older individuals appeared to be less sensitive to discomfort than younger individuals. Across age groups, two distinct processes were used in determining whole-body comfort and discomfort perceptions based on localised comfort/discomfort perceptions. Whole-body discomfort levels were largely affected by lower back discomfort in the younger group versus upper back discomfort in the older group. Four specific pressure measures at several body regions differed between the age groups, suggesting distinct contract pressure requirements and loading patterns among these groups. 相似文献
