Communications on energy: Fighting London's cold war

This communication illustrates the work of the London Energy and Employment Network. LEEN has the twin aims of promoting a rational energy policy for London and, in the process, generating much needed employment. In cooperation with Hackney, one of Britain's poorest boroughs, LEEN organized Hackney's Cold War — a series of initiatives showing the practical measures, informational back-up and funding sources necessary for a local energy policy. LEEN intends to repeat this project in other London Boroughs, with the eventual aim of helping to persuade central government to adopt a more comprehensive approach to energy conservation nationally.

医院建筑能耗高,如在设计阶段对建筑、供暖与通风、给排水、电器照明等各环节进行节能设计,可以起到事半功倍的效果.文中结合工程实践,提出了各种具体节能措施.     

中国炼铁系统的节能与环境保护

回顾了20世纪90年代以来,中国炼铁系统的节能和环境保护的进展.指出由于高炉喷煤技术的开发和推广,大大减少了焦炉的建设投资,真正从源头减少了铁前系统的能耗和污染.基于对炼铁系统二次能源的分析,从节能和减排温室气体来看,淘汰落后的小烧结、小高炉, 大力推广高炉TRT、高效干式除尘和利用高炉煤气发电及烧结余热回收利用等,将是今后工作的重点.     

Describing metal surfaces and nanostructures with orbital-free density functional theory

Orbital-free density functional theory (OF-DFT) can be made to scale linearly with sample size, allowing thousands of atoms to be treated explicitly with quantum mechanics. State-of-the-art kinetic energy density functionals and ion–electron pseudopotentials are used to obtain accurate structural property predictions for nanoparticles, nanowires, extended surfaces, and nanoindentation of simple metals.

Effect of pH on the Crystallization of Homogeneously Precipitated Nanosized PZT Powder

Nanosized lead zirconate titanate (PZT) powder with Zr:Ti ratio in the morphotropic phase boundary region was synthesized by homogeneous precipitation of metal ions. The powder precipitated at 90°C and at pH 6.7 resulted single-phase perovskite lead zirconate titanate powder when calcined at 550°C and above for 4 hours in air. The solution pH and the precipitation temperature strongly affect the composition of the calcined powder. The results obtained by structural characterization of homogeneously precipitated powder were compared with that obtained from the conventional precipitation method using ammonia in terms of crystallization, homogeneity, and microstructure. The homogeneously precipitated powder showed smaller particle size, minimum agglomeration and uniform shape on calcination and annealing. Powdered samples that precipitated by homogeneous precipitation crystallized directly to perovskite PZT, without any intermediate pyrochlore phase formation. In contrast, the NH₃ precipitated powder converted to perovskite PZT via metastable pyrochlore and it showed phase segregation upon annealing at higher temperatures. The reaction kinetics has been studied by X-ray diffraction, differential thermal analysis, and differential scanning calorimetry.

基于Client/Server模式的火电厂能损在线监测系统

为了对机组主要设备和系统的运行状态实施在线监测，使机组运行在最佳状态，提高机组的经济性，并加强对能耗指标的管理，而开发了能损在线监测、诊断和能耗指标管理系统，文章对此系统进行了简单的介绍。     

Model for Nanoscopic Domain Formation in Dipalmitoyl-PC/Dilauroyl-PC/Cholesterol Mixture

We describe the lyotropic liquid crystalline phase transitions in the lipid mixture dipalmitoil-PC/dilauroy-PC/cholesterol by 3D spin-1 lattice model. The formation of nanoscale domains with the characteristic size about 300 nm was studied in experiments on confocal fluorescence microscopy (CFM) (G. V. Feigenson and J. T. Buboltz, Biophys. J. 80, 2775 (2001)). The structure parameters of the lamellar vesicle in dipalmitoil-PC-rich phase, corresponding to these regions, are verified by numerical Monte Carlo simulations on the lattice. We point its superconductivity analogy properties at the region of phase stability for composition-dependent nanoscopic region.     

济钢120t转炉二次烟气除尘设计

济钢120t转炉二次烟气除尘设备选用长袋低压脉冲除尘器,风机采用液力偶合器,并设计将加料系统除尘风量直接加入转炉二次烟气除尘系统。系统投产后,每炉钢节电1200kW,烟气排放浓度为47mg/m3,烟气温度在110℃以下。实践证明,该系统具有节能、捕集率高、排放浓度低、自动化程度高等特点。
