基于故障树与灰关联分析的鱼雷故障诊断

将灰色关联度与故障树联合运用于鱼雷故障诊断,为鱼雷的故障诊断提供了一种新途径。在鱼雷动力系统故障树诊断模式识别中,运用灰色系统理论中的灰关联分析,通过进行关联度计算及排序,对各种故障模式发生的可能性大小作出了判断,从而为处理故障的轻重缓急、控制故障的发生以及改进系统的可靠性提供了理论依据。实例诊断表明,这种方法是有效可行的,并且诊断结果可靠。     

A One‐Kilobit PQR‐CMOS Smart Pixel Array

The photonic quantum ring (PQR) laser is a three dimensional whispering gallery (WG) mode laser and has anomalous quantum wire properties, such as microampere to nanoampere range threshold currents and √T‐dependent thermal red shifts. We observed uniform bottom emissions from a 1‐kb smart pixel chip of a 32×32 InGaAs PQR laser array flip‐chip bonded to a 0.35 µm CMOS‐based PQR laser driver. The PQR‐CMOS smart pixel array, now operating at 30 MHz, will be improved to the GHz frequency range through device and circuit optimization.

An 8-valued commutative ring is developed to process colored images. Algebraic operators are defined to perform a number of operations such as the extraction of the primary colors and contours of different colors.     

Service Load Effective Compression Flange Width in Fiber Reinforced Polymer Deck Systems Acting Compositely with Steel Stringers

This paper reports on the field study of a steel stringer-fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) deck composite bridge in Pennsylvania. The objective of the study is to assess the effective compression flange width in the FRP deck and floor systems when they act compositely with underlying steel girders at service conditions. The research results reported herein support the notion of employing a design approach, for both interior and exterior girders of a composite floor system, that is philosophically consistent with current practice related to steel girders acting compositely with concrete decking. It appears from the results presented herein that FRP decks and floors acting compositely with underlying steel girders exhibit an effective width that is close to the actual girder spacing for interior beams, and approximately one-half this value for exterior beams.

Eigensolution of specially structured matrices with hyper‐symmetry

Recently, four canonical forms have been developed and applied to the dynamics and stability analysis of symmetric frames. In this paper, hyper‐symmetric matrices and specially structured matrices are defined and efficient methods are proposed for the eigensolution of such matrices. Applications are extended to hyper‐graphs and specially structured graphs. Simple methods are developed for calculating the eigenvalues of the Laplacian matrices of such graphs. The developments presented in this paper can also be considered as generalization of Form II and Form III symmetry, previously defined by the authors. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

Linearly many faults in Cayley graphs generated by transposition trees

We prove that when linearly many vertices are deleted in a Cayley graph generated by a transposition tree, the resulting graph has a large connected component containing almost all remaining vertices.     

Surface modification of starch nanocrystals through ring‐opening polymerization of ε‐caprolactone and investigation of their microstructures

Bionanoparticles of starch obtained by submitting native potato starch granules to acid hydrolysis conditions. The resulted starch nanoparticles were used as core or macro initiator for polymerization of ε‐caprolactone (CL). Starch nanoparticle‐g‐polycaprolactone was synthesized through ring‐opening polymerization (ROP) of CL in the presence of Sn(Oct)₂ as initiator. The detailed microstructure of the resulted copolymer was characterized with NMR spectroscopy. Thermal characteristic of the copolymer was investigated using DSC and TGA. By introducing PCL, the range of melting temperature for starch was increased and degradation of copolymer occurred in a broader region. X‐ray diffraction and TEM micrographs confirmed that there was no alteration of starch crystalline structure and morphology of nanoparticles, respectively. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
