In the field of industry, it is very important that boron compounds are produced from boron ores. The aim of this study was to investigate the dissolution kinetics with carbon dioxide of colemanite in methanol medium in a pressure reactor and to derive an alternative process for producing boron compounds. Reaction temperature, stirring speed, solid/liquid ratio, pressure, and particle size were selected as parameters for the dissolution rate of colemanite. It was found that the dissolution rate increased with increase in pressure and reaction temperature, and with decrease in particle size and solid/liquid ratio. No effect of stirring speed was observed on conversion. The dissolution kinetics of colemanite were examined using both heterogeneous and homogeneous reaction models, and it was determined that the reaction rate can be described by a second-order pseudo-homogeneous reaction model. An emulsion of pioglitazone hydrochloride (drug) was prepared by mixing drug:polymer (gelatin) in different ratios of 1:0.5, 1:1, and 1:1.5 (wt/wt), respectively. These emulsions were used for the preparation of tablets of different composition. Tablet hardness increased with a decrease in concentration of polymer, while the percentage friability increased with an increase in polymer concentration in the tablet. The encapsulated tablet showed better sustained release than conventional tablets. The effect of concentration of polymer on dissolution rates of these tablets was studied using the Hixson-Crowell cube root law equation. The data obtained prove that the formulations are useful for a sustained release of pioglitazone hydrochloride, since the percentage released after 24 h was nearly 76%. The release of pioglitazone hydrochloride was influenced by the presence of polymer and different compositions of lactose. The tablet containing an emulsion of ratio 1:0.5 showed an excellent result of rate constant, better than conventional and other compositions. 相似文献

The problem of the dissolution or growth of an isolated, stationary, sphere in a large fluid body is analyzed. The motion of the boundary as well as the resulting motion in the liquid are properly taken into account. The governing equations are solved using a recently developed technique (Subramanian and Weinberg, 1981) which employs an asymptotic expansion in time. Results for the radius of the sphere as a function of time are calculated. Anodic dissolution of poly- and single-crystals of zinc was performed in methanol solution of lithium perchlorate by means of cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The mechanism of anodic dissolution of zinc in organic solvents occurs in two oxidation steps. It is the first step that surface anodic product is created. Stability of the surface product is much better in anhydrous organic environments than in aqueous media; because the product is stable, a barrier layer composed of is formed at low anodic overvoltage. The dissolution behavior of MgO in CaO–SiO2–Al2O3 ternary slag at the interface of single-crystal, dense poly-crystal, and porous poly-crystal MgO was investigated to evaluate the effect of the surface properties of the MgO. The experimental results revealed that a detached spinel layer formed at the MgO interface due to the change in thermodynamic condition of the slag, which was independent of the surface properties. On the other hand, it was also confirmed that the growth rate and morphology of the detached spinel layer strongly depended on the surface properties, such as porosity and curvature of MgO. During the formation of the spinel layer at the interface during MgO dissolution, a kinetic approach adopting parabolic relation theory was employed to determine the correlation between the surface properties and the spinel growth mechanism. 相似文献

The aim of this study was to develop a delayed-release matrix pellet containing atenolol as active pharmaceutical ingredient. The matrix additionally contained trisodium phosphate dodecahydrate as alkalizing pore-former agent to enhance the dissolution of the atenolol at pH 6.8. The delayed release was ensured by coating with a gastro-resistant polymer. For this purpose, an acryl EZE MP aqueous dispersion was used, which is suggested in the literature for pellet coating. Before this functional film coating, a protective polymer layer was developed, to prevent direct contact between the alkalizing layer and the acryl EZE. The dissolution of fibrous wollastonite (CaSiO3) in the aqueous solution of acetic acid (3 mol dm− 3) was investigated in the temperature interval from 25 to 50 °C using mixed batch-type reactor. An incongruent dissolution of wollastonite proceeds under applied acidic condition. The pH of solvent was increasing during leaching of calcium and its actual value depended on the concentration of Ca2+ ions in the solution according to the Henderson buffer equation. That enabled the monitoring of dissolution kinetics via concentration of Ca in the dispersion medium of suspension of wollastonite measurement. The kinetic parameter of the process was evaluated from measured dissolution rates of wollastonite at constant temperature using the empirical Arrhenius equation. The apparent activation energy and pre-exponential factor estimated from the Arrhenius plot are 47 ± 1 kJ mol− 1 and (1.8 ± 0.9) × 103 s− 1. The kinetics analysis of the process indicates that the process is driven by the stationary two-dimensional diffusion (D2). 相似文献
