We have calculated thermal conductivity of alumina nanofluids (with water and ethylene glycol as base fluids) using temperature as well as concentration-dependent viscosity, η. The temperature profile of η is obtained using Gaussian fit to the available experimental data. In the model, the interfacial resistance effects are incorporated through a phenomenological parameter α. The micro-convection of the alumina nanoparticle (diameter less than 100 nm) is included through Reynolds and Prandtl numbers. The model is further improved by explicitly incorporating the thermal conductivity of the nanolayer surrounding the nanoparticles. Using this improved model, thermal conductivity of copper nanofluid is calculated. These calculations capture the particle concentration-dependent thermal conductivity and predict the dependence of the thermal conductivity on the size of the nanoparticle. These studies are significant to understand the underlying processes of heat transport in nanofluids and are crucial to design superior coolants of next generation.  相似文献

对T形线路的故障测距,现有方法都是先判断故障支路,再将3端线路等效成2端线路进行测距。但在 T节点附近短路,尤其是经高阻短路时,现有的测距方法由于无法正确判别故障支路而存在一定范围的测距死区。针对上述缺陷,分别假设故障发生在某一支路,由假定正常的2段支路端的电压、电流推算求得 T节点电压和注入假定故障支路的电流,从而分别求得3个故障距离。经证明,求得的3个故障距离有且仅有1个在0和对应支路总长度之间,该距离就是真实的故障距离,故障发生在对应支路上。该方法无需事先判别故障支路即可测距,在 T节点附近经高阻故障时无测距死区。其测距精度理论上不受过渡电阻和故障类型影响,无需故障前数据,且对滤波无高要求。EMTP仿真结果表明该方法正确、有效,测距精度高。  相似文献

对铸造高性能合金Lewmet55进行了化学成分设计,确定了该合金中镍、铬、钼、铜和硅的含量。采用金相显微镜和X射线衍射相结合的方法,分析了该合金的显微组织,并采用多种腐蚀试验方法研究其耐腐蚀行为。着重研究了不同热处理制度对铸造高性能合金的均匀腐蚀、晶问腐蚀、点蚀和电化学腐蚀性能的影响。试验结果表明,Lewment55合金经1250℃×1.5h水冷固溶处理后,在高温浓硫酸介质中具有良好的耐蚀性,以及较好的抗晶间腐蚀、点蚀和电化学腐蚀性能。  相似文献

研究了不同自熔性合金粉末火焰喷焊层的显微组织与抗磨粒磨损性能,并对其磨面形貌进行了SEM观察分析。结果表明,在Ni60自熔性合金中加入适量的镍包WC粉末可明显提高其喷焊层的抗磨粒磨损性能。当WC的加入量为35%(wt)左右时,该喷焊层与60Si2Mn调质钢相比,相对的耐磨性可提高6倍以上。  相似文献

The behavior during creep in shear of eutectic indium-tin joints on copper and nickel substrates was examined in order to determine the effect of creep deformation on the microstructure of the alloy. Primary creep was absent in all the samples tested. The stress exponent at 20° C was much higher for samples on nickel than for those on copper, indicating a different creep deformation mechanism. Also, the microstructure within the indium-tin joints differed significantly with a change of substrate. Samples with a nickel substrate showed a colony microstructure that was not observed in those with a copper substrate. Thus, eutectic morphology is important in determining deformation mechanism during creep. The microstructure within the joints in tested and untested regions of the samples was effectively the same. This is quite distinct from the behavior of eutectic lead-tin observed in previous work. Lead-tin formed a recrystallized band of material along a region of concentrated shear deformation. While the deformation pattern in the indium-tin samples appeared to be the same as for lead-tin, the microstructural changes did not occur. This implies that the behavior observed in lead-tin is not universal to eutectic alloys.  相似文献

The paper describes the development and evaluation of temperature compensated high elongation resistance strain gauges for use from room temperature to 250°C. These gauges could be temperature-compensated on steels with coefficient of thermal expansion α = 11 ppm/°C. Thermal output within 250°C was about 1 μm/m/°C and maximum standard deviation of 5 gauges was 34 μm/m. Strain limit was > 4% at room temperature and at 250°C. Gauge factors of different strain ranges at R.T. and at 250°C are tabulated. Some applications are stated.  相似文献

Escherichia coli distribution and persistence in nearshore Lake Michigan were assessed following heavy rains and sanitary sewer overflow (SSO) and combined sewer overflow (CSO) events over a 5-year period, including an 18-day period following 25.4 cm of rainfall in which intensive studies were conducted following multiple CSO and SSO events. E. coli levels in the Milwaukee estuary and harbor following SSO and CSO events ranged from 104 to nearly 105 CFU/100 mL, which were significantly higher (p ≤ 0.05) than levels following rainfall alone. Sites outside of the breakwall but within the contamination plume (e.g., within 2 km of the harbor) were an order of magnitude lower. Locations 2–5 km from the harbor ranged from below detection limits, of < 1 to 5 CFU/100 mL. E. coli levels corrected for dilution based on specific conductivity measurements were lower than what would be expected for loss due to dilution alone, suggesting a combination of die-off and dilution, were responsible for the rapid disappearance of these organisms outside of the harbor. E. coli and fecal coliforms measured concurrently demonstrated that fecal coliforms could be recovered longer than E. coli in the open waters of the lake. E. coli isolated directly from sewage treatment plant influent were found to have a marked increase in antibiotic resistance traits for ten antibiotics commonly used in the human population compared with isolates from two animal sources of fecal pollution. However, E. coli obtained from sewage impacted water (n = 2,513) and from stormwater impacted water (n = 1,465) collected the previous year when there were no sewage overflows, were found to have no significant difference (p < 0.05) in the frequency of resistance when comparing the two conditions. E. coli survival characteristics and population dynamics are most likely influenced by multiple factors in complex systems such as the watershed/estuarine/lake environments of the Great Lakes.  相似文献
