Wet fluidized beds of particles in small periodic domains are simulated using the CFD‐DEM approach. A liquid bridge is formed upon particle‐particle collisions, which then ruptures when the particle separation exceeds a critical distance. The simulations take into account both surface tension and viscous forces due to the liquid bridge. We perform a series of simulations based on different liquid bridge formation models: (1) the static bridge model of Shi and McCarthy, (2) a simple static version of the model of Wu et al., as well as (3) the full dynamic bridge model of Wu et al. We systematically compare the differences caused by different liquid bridge formation models, as well as their sensitivity to system parameters. Drag force is a key parameter in the numerical modeling of gas-particle flow in circulating fluidized beds. The reliability of current drag force correlations over the regime of fast fluidization has, however, not been thoroughly investigated. In this article, a drag force correlation accounting for the clustering effects for Geldart A particles is used to simulate the behaviors typical of fast fluidization, including dynamic evolution of clusters as well as time- averaged axial and lateral voidage profiles. Diverse images of clusters are captured and the time-averaged profiles of voidage are shown to be in quantitative agreement with the present empirical correlation. The results based on different constitutive correlations of drag force show the importance of the choice of drag force in modeling fast-fluidized beds. This drag force correlation, based on a simple averaging assumption, could give some basic insights about the magnitude of the drag reduction. 相似文献

A theoretical framework is developed, and the use of the theory is demonstrated by considering a model problem namely that of the pressure behavior of injection wells. Limiting forms are derived. Field observations suggest that while pressure depletion is a local process that occurs dominantly in reservoirs being exploited, it triggers a redistribution of effective stress in a more extensive domain that involves not just the adjacent strata, but the entire overburden and surrounding rocks out to considerable distances. In an infinite or semi-infinite domain, a petroleum reservoir can be simulated as a displacement discontinuity, permitting use of an efficient displacement discontinuity boundary element method to calculate surrounding stress and displacement changes. A 3D poroelastic finite element method is used to account for the local reservoir model. By coupling the displacement discontinuity and finite element models, a 3D poroelastic reservoir in an infinite or semi-infinite domain is simulated. The numerical model has been verified and numerical examples are given. Results show that the relative deformation properties of surrounding strata have significant effects on pressure drawdown and reservoir deformation during production, and thus should be taken into account. 相似文献

In recent years, multiphase steels have become a material of choice for use in the car manufacturing industry owing to their excellent mechanical properties. It is anticipated that in the years to come these steels will show the highest increase in usage. A particular aspect of their potential is that multiphase steels often show good bake hardening (BH) properties. The main factors that govern the microstructures and the properties of these steels are the chemical composition and the production process parameters. In this work two commercial cold rolled sheet steels with different carbon content were investigated. In order to produce dual phase (DP) steels with a ferrite‐martensite microstructure, the as‐received material was subjected to heat treatment simulating continuous galvanising line (CGL) cycles with an overageing zone before the zinc pot. After a first CGL cycle predominantly ferritic microstructures with small amounts of martensite, pearlite and retained austenite were obtained, which resulted in deviations from typical DP properties, e.g. in the occurrence of discontinuous yielding. A higher line speed led to improved mechanical properties. BH prestrain was varied between 0 and 10%. While only very little bake hardening was observed without prestrain, with increasing prestrain the amount of BH was evolving quickly towards larger values of more than 60 MPa. Generally, the BH values were somewhat larger for higher carbon content. Finally, an optimised CGL cycle was simulated at laboratory scale with changes in the process parameters. Thus, characteristic DP microstructures resulting in desired mechanical properties were obtained. For these optimised conditions, BH2 values in excess of 60 MPa were achieved for both steels investigated. 相似文献

对近年来有关纳米钛酸钡陶瓷最新的烧结方法、新颖性质进行了综合评述和讨论。当晶粒尺寸减小到纳米尺度时,钛酸钡陶瓷的晶体结构在不同的温度下出现了不同的多相共存。这可以用纳米钛酸钡陶瓷相变产生的应力来解释。纳米钛酸钡陶瓷的铁电性能表现出新颖的特性。它的介电常数先随晶粒尺寸的减小而降低,但当晶粒尺寸降低到小于50nm甚至小于10m时,介电常数表现出反常的增加,同时铁电向顺电的转变峰变为一个很宽的峰,表现出弥散相变的特征。 相似文献
