We have studied the potential electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of NADH of several oxidation products of guanine and its derivative guanosine-5′-monophosphate (5′-GMP) on pyrolytic graphite electrodes (PGE). The distribution of products generated strongly depends on the experimental conditions. Our investigations focused on the oxidation products that are adsorbed on the electrode surface, are redox active and, exhibited electrocatalytic activity toward the oxidation of NADH. These compounds were electrochemically and kinetically characterized in terms of dependence of the formal potential on pH and electron transfer rate constant (ks). The voltammetric and catalytic behavior of both guanine and 5′-GMP oxidation products was compared with that of other guanine derivatives we have previously studied. Some mechanistic aspects concerning the generation of the catalysts are also discussed. 相似文献

Reaction-bonded Si3 N4 (RBSN) made from high-purity Si powder is unusually resistant to degradation caused by exposures to air for up to 50 h at temperatures up to 1400°C. The weight gain during oxidation of this SiH4 -originating RBSN is approximately 10 times less than conventional RBSN. Contrary to normally observed strength degradations, room-temperature strengths of this high-purity, oxidized RBSN (avg = 435 MPa, max. = 668 MPa) remained at their unusually high, as-processed levels after 1000° and 1400°C oxidizing exposures. Fracture toughness values were unaffected by oxidation ( K IC = 2.3 to 2.4 MPa · m1/2 ). This superior oxidation resistance results from the high purity and the small diameter pore channels (0.01 to 0.06 μm) achieved in this SiH4 -originating RBSN. 相似文献

In this paper, the differential impedance analysis (DIA) has been applied to the study of the dielectric properties of hardened Portland cement paste. Two time constants are found in the impedance spectra obtained in the frequency region form 100 kHz to 15 MHz. One time constant has been attributed to the solid matrix and the other one to the liquid phase filling the pores. The effect of the cement paste-electrodes interface has been quantified using two different experimental set-ups. Measurements using direct contact between electrodes and cement paste have been compared with measurements using an air gap technique in which the specimen “floats” between the electrodes. The two referred time constants have been found in both types of measurements. The influence of drying on the dielectric parameters is also studied. 相似文献

New thermosetting poly(2-allyl-6-methylphenol-co-2,6-dimethylphenol)s (3) have been developed by oxidative coupling copolymerization of 2-allyl-6-methylphenol (1) with 2,6-dimethylphenol (2), followed by thermal curing. Copolymerization was conducted in nitrobenzene in the presence of copper(I) chloride and pyridine as the catalyst under a stream of oxygen, producing high molecular weight copolymers (Mn∼50,000) with broad molecular weight distributions (Mw/Mn∼35). The structure of resulting copolymers 3 was characterized by IR, 1H, and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Cross-linking reactions of copolymers were carried out by thermal treatment in the absence or presence of a peroxide (3 wt%, 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)-3-butane). The 10% weight loss and glass transition temperatures of the cured copolymers were 436 °C in nitrogen and 235 °C, respectively after curing at 70 °C for 1 h and 300 °C for 1 h. The average refractive index of the cured copolymer (3b) film was 1.5407, from which the dielectric constant (ε) at 1 MHz was estimated as 2.6. The ε and dissipation factor of copolymer-films at 1 MHz were directly measured from their capacitances as 2.5-2.6 and 0.0015-0.0019, respectively. 相似文献

The kinetics of intergranular oxidation of silicon in a 20Cr-25Ni Nb-stabilized stainless steel are reported, at temperatures in the range 1140–1230 K, in CO2 at 40 bar pressure. The depth of attack increased parabolically with respect to time, with an activation energy of 335±30 kJ/mol. The mechanism of growth is discussed in terms of classical internal-oxidation theories, and an alternative explanation based on an available-space theory is developed. The internal oxidation rates in a number of different alloys are compared with diffusivities of metals in the base alloy. It is proposed that intergranular oxidation in the 20–25 Nb steel is controlled by the rate of outward diffusion of iron or chromium in the alloy. 相似文献

The oxidation behavior and mechanism of aluminum oxynitride (AlON) powder exposed to air at elevated temperatures between 800°C and 1300°C was investigated by X-ray diffractometry (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), electron spin resonance (ESR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and simultaneous thermogravimetry, differential thermal analysis, and mass spectrometry techniques (TG-DTA-MS). The weight of AlON gradually increases to a maximum value at 1150°C and then decreases with further heating. Meanwhile, AlON powder undergoes chemical changes, as evidenced by lattice expansion, and turns eventually into alumina. ESR spectra reveal the occurrence of lone pair electrons in the oxidized products and the intensity of corresponding resonance signal increases before disappearing with the increase in temperature. Combined with the results of NMR and TG-DTA-MS, the measured data suggest that Al-N in [AlO3N] tetrahedron and [AlO5N] octahedron are gradually oxidized into Al-O-N group with lone pair electrons, which causes continuous weight gain and lattice expansion. Being a relatively new process, additive manufacturing needs many studies to be able to produce parts with the required properties. The aim of the paper is to establish whether, based on the physical and mechanical properties determined by tensile testing and by applying finite element analysis (FEA), viable results can be obtained regarding the behavior of the 3D printed structures at the different, static loading. The application of FEA for the tensile testing of 3D specimens led to the results close to those obtained by the tests. The values of the results obtained by simulation are higher by up to 7.2% compared with those recorded by tests. The simulation was applied both for the printed specimens from a single material and from two materials (multi-material). Regardless of the materials used in printing and the simulation method, the results of applying FEA are close to those recorded by testing. 相似文献
