Thiols are often highly odor active molecules and as such can significantly contribute to aroma while being present at extremely low concentrations. This paper details the identification of thiols in yellow onion juice by solvent extraction followed by thiol enrichment using a mercuric agarose gel column. Due to the inherent thermal instability and low concentrations of thiols in onion, chromatographic analysis utilized larger volume solvent elimination injections. New sulfur compounds in onion included 1,1‐propanedithiol, bis‐(1‐sulfanylpropyl)‐sulfide, 1‐methylsulfanyl‐1‐propanethiol, 1‐propylsulfanyl‐1‐propanethiol, and 1‐allylsulfanyl‐1‐propanethiol. A discussion on the potential route of formation for each compound is included along with the orthonasal and retronasal evaluations of the synthesized molecules. This paper addresses the impact of excess air on turbine inlet temperature, power, and thermal efficiency at different pressure ratios. An explicit relationship is developed to determine the turbine inlet temperature as a function of excess air, pressure ratio and relative humidity. The effect of humidity on the calculation of excess air to achieve a pre-established power output is analyzed and presented. Likewise it is demonstrated that dry air calculations provide a valid upper bound for the performance of a gas turbine under a wet environment. 相似文献

The shell and tube heat exchanger is an essential part of a power plant for recovering heat transfer between the feed water of a boiler and the wasted heat.The baffles are also an important element inside the heat exchanger.Internal materials influence the flow pattern in the bed.The influence of baffles in the velocity profiles was observed using a three-dimensional particle image velocimetry around baffles in a horizontal circular tube.The velocity of the particles was measured before the baffle and between them in the test tube.
Results show that the flows near the front baffle flow were parallel to the vertical wall,and then concentrate on the upper opening of the front baffle.The flows circulate in the front and rear baffles.These flow profiles are related to the Reynolds number(Re) or the flow intensity.The velocity profiles at lower Re number showed a complicated mixing,concentrating on the lower opening of the rear baffle as front wall.

针对某型发电燃气轮机在负载突变过程中可转导叶角度与压气机转速互相耦合、控制失稳的问题,提出了“功率前馈”控制策略——即根据负载功率对可转导叶角度进行调整。首先,通过粒子群寻优算法,将压气机喘振裕度作为目标,对不同工况下的导叶角度进行寻优匹配;其次,采用“功率前馈”对燃气轮机突增负荷和甩负荷过程中的导叶角度进行调节;最后,以船用发电型间冷燃气轮机为研究对象,建立三转子燃气轮机整机模型,针对突变工况过程可转导叶角度的控制规律开展研究。结果表明:采用“功率前馈”控制模式,在突增负荷过程中,动力涡轮转速超调量减小11%,高压涡轮进口温度降低了3%;在甩负荷过程中动力涡轮转速超调量减少10%,高压涡轮进口温度超调量降低11.9%,低压压气机最小喘振裕度由0.87%提高至9.1%。 相似文献

A 10-cell proton-exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) stack with 10 cathode flow channels is employed to investigate the effect of airflow inlet manifold configuration on the overall performance. Four different types of airflow inlet manifold with a 90° turn are considered. First, the flow patterns according to the manifold configuration are numerically sought. The computational result for the improved inlet manifold predicts about 8.5% increase in the uniformity of the airflow distribution. The experiments are carried out to confirm the numerical predictions by measuring actual airflow distributions through the fuel cell stack. The polarization curve and the power curve for the 10-cell PEMFC are also obtained to determine the effect of inlet manifold configuration on the actual performance. The maximum power output increases by up to 10.3% on using the improved airflow inlet manifold. 相似文献
