The growth of PbMoO4 crystals by the modified Bridgman method has been reported in this paper. The feed material with strict stoichiometric composition
is desirable for the Bridgman growth of the crystals. The continuous composition change of the melts during growth can be
avoided because the volatilization of melts is limited by sealed platinum crucibles. By means of the optimum growth parameters
such as the growth rate of < 1.2 mm/h and the temperature gradient of 20 ∼ 40°C/cm across the solid-liquid interface under
the furnace temperature of 1140 ∼ 1200°C, large size crystals with high optical uniformity were grown successfully. The distribution
of Pb and Mo concentration along the growth axis was measured by X-ray fluorescence analysis. The single crystallinity of
the grown sample was evaluated by the double-crystal X-ray rocking curve. The transmission spectra were measured in the range

Life cycle inventory analysis of CO2 and SO2 emission of imperial smelting process for Pb-Zn smelter
Based on the principle of life cycle assessment, CO2 and SO2 emission of Imperial Smelting Process in a certain zinc-lead smelter was analyzed by life cycle inventory method. According
to the system expansion and substitution method, the environmental impacts of co-products were allocated among the main products
of zinc, lead and sulfuric acid. The related impacts were assessed by use of Global Warming Potential (GWP) and Acidification
Potential (ACP). The results show that the GWP index from 1998 to 2000 is 11.53, 11.65, 10.93 tCO2-eq/tZn respectively, the ACP index decreases from 14.88 kgSO2-eq/tZn in 1998 to 10.99 kgSO2-eq/tZn in 2000. Power and electricity generation, followed by smelting and zinc distillation, are mainly responsible for
GWP. Sintering individually affects ACP. Reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of the ISP may come from energy conservation
measures rather than from technological developments. And recycling more secondary Pb and Zn materials effectively treated
by ISP, and reducing the amount of primary metal are the main ways to put SO2 emission under control.

The electrical and optical properties of silver indium selenide thin films prepared by co-evaporation have been studied. X-ray diffraction indicates that the as prepared films were polycrystalline in nature. The lattice parameters were calculated to be a=0.6137 and b=1.1816 nm. Composition was determined from energy dispersive analysis of X-ray. Silver indium selenide thin films were also prepared by bulk evaporation of powdered sample for comparative study. They have an optical band gap (Eg) of 1.25 eV and it is a direct allowed transition. Refractive index (n) and extinction coefficient (k) were calculated from absorption and reflection spectra. Steady-state photoconductivity was measured from 300 to 400 K. Carrier lifetime was calculated from transient photoconductivity measurements at room temperature at different intensities of illumination. 相似文献
