改进Meggitt译码器提高译码速率

本文对Meggitt译码器进行了改进,提高了译码速率,并以汉明码纠正单个错码为例说明此方法。文中给出的译码方框图及步骤,具有实用意义。     

Data link layer design issues in a home automation system

In this paper, we examine design issues relevant to the implementation of a data link layer of a home automation system based on the Electronics Industries Association (EIA) Consumer Electronics Bus (CEBus). The hardware and software components of the system are described along with several techniques that enhance the performance of the system, allow for a faster implementation using off-the-shelf components and provide low overhead. The proposed design has been incorporated into a basic home automation system (BHAS) that is used as a testbed for alternative technologies and algorithms.     

Modelling and performance analysis of inter-processor messaging in distributed systems

This paper addresses some performance modelling issues arising from the inter-processor messaging requirements of distributed real-time processing systems. We consider two basic classes of message transfer protocols, namely clocked schemes where message transfer is initiated as a periodic timed task, and event-driven schemes where the transfer mechanism is triggered by the messaging requests themselves. The aim is to maximize system efficiency by passing messages in batches. It is shown how the classes of protocols may be modelled by a two-stage queueing systems, which is analysed using the theory of imbedded Markov chains and semi-Markov processes. The results are used to show how the important performance measures are derived, and how the protocol parameters should be chosen to optimize the overall message system performance. The methods are illustrated by numerical examples.     

Progress on standardizing OSI conformance testing

International standards for Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) services and protocols are well advanced. Complementary standardization work has begun for testing conformance of products to OSI protocol standards. This is drawing on about 7 years R&D work on techniques and tools for testing protocol implementations. This paper presents the major aspects of the testing methodology and framework being standardized by ISO and CCITT. It relates some of the ideas to the work done in the R&D community and identifies the main topics on which further work is needed.

混合DS－SFH扩频多址通信系统采用RS码的性能界限的分析

本文推导了混合直接序列和慢跳频扩频多址通信系统，在Ｒｉｃｉａｎ和Ｒａｙｌｅｉｇｈ多径衰落信道中，采用ＲＳ编码和非相干ＤＰＳＫ、ＦＳＫ调制的系统性能界限，提出了利用探测多径干扰和多址干扰是否存在的信道信息的ＲＳ译码新算法。     

一种新颖的自适应帧同步器方案设计

在分析并讨论现有几种帧同步检出技术的基础上,提出了一种新颖的自适应帧同步器方案,并进行了参数设计。自适应帧同步器可以在不同的工作环境中保持最佳工作状态,因此是一种较为理想的帧同步器。     

利用VB实现计算机串口通信实例

介绍了VB6．0中通信控件MSComm的使用方法，提供了串口通信实例，一个实现两台PC机间通信，另一个实现PC与单片机间通信。     

The barriers of Facebook's terms of service agreement: hardships placed on fiduciaries access to digital assets

The Stored Communications Act (SCA), as it stands now, creates an issue for fiduciaries accessing digital assets from cloud-based servers of deceased clients. The simple request of a decedent's Facebook information implicates several historical legal issues of privacy, ownership of content, and fiduciary rights, which all seem to muddy the already murky water created by the SCA. While much of this tangled area of the law is due to a failure to evolve the laws regulating an advancing market, some blame can be placed on service providers. Facebook and other service providers should update their terms of service (ToS) to put fiduciaries out of harm's way of criminal penalties, allow Facebook to voluntarily distribute materials to fiduciaries and give notice to account holders. The ToS agreements entered into are at the focus of this issue and are the easiest and fastest way to achieve clarity.
