Developed originally to meet increased demand forecast for C-band capacity in the Pacific Ocean Region (POR), this latest generation of INTELSAT satellites is planned to be operated in a number of traditional and new roles. To date INTELSAT has bought four INTELSAT VIII spacecraft for Pacific, Indian and Atlantic Ocean regions and two modified VIII-A to meet the specific Landmass requirements for the rapidly expanding Asia-Pacific and pan-American market. The VIII spacecraft, using Martin Marietta Astro Space's GS7000 bus has sufficient power and payload carrying capability that it can accommodate a wide variety of services. A new feature for INTELSAT is the inclusion of arcjet propulsion which has the potential for long lifetime while needing only half of the fuel requirement of conventional thrusters. This new high power satellite will form a key part of the INTELSAT global network through to the year 2010 and complement the INTELSAT VII and VIIA series.  相似文献

The TNS (TDMA Network Simulation) program is a computer simulation package developed for the evaluation, test and analysis of all the protocols in the INTELSAT TDMA network. The TNS program faithfully simulates the dynamic operation of the network, taking account of the satellite motion, and makes it even possible to simulate the network operation under some abnormal conditions, such as terminal function failure and transponder failure. This paper describes the TNS program in terms of its design approach, its capabilities, its structure, its input and output data, and its operation. An example simulation for the whole system start-up procedure assuming the Atlantic Ocean region is also presented.  相似文献

Extensive research and development activities have been conducted in the area of biomass conversion over the past several years. Task VII of the International Energy Agency's Bioenergy Agreement provided a means to coordinate the ongoing national programs of fourteen participating countries during the period from 1989 through 1991. This paper provides an overview of the state of the technology development for biomass conversion and summarizes the progress of the IEA program.  相似文献

Polymerization of non-conjugated divinyl monomer N,N′-methylene bisacrylamide was studied with a novel redox pair of manganese (VII)–thiol in a homogeneous gel-free state, under varying conditions of concentration, temperature, pH and ionic strength, and the kinetic results were interpreted by a suitable mechanistic sequence from among various possibilities. Absence of gelation is attributed to the formation of a cyclic polymer. An attempt is made to correlate the structure of the reductant–oxidant complex with the observed kinetic results.  相似文献

We report the sequence of an 11·1 kb fragment located on the left arm of chromosome VII of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. By sequence analysis we have detected six open reading frames (ORFs) longer than 300 bp, which cover 87% of the entire sequence. ORF G1645 is 100% identical to the KEM1 gene, also identified as DST2, XRN1, SEP1 and RAR5, while G1648 is 100% identical to the NSP49 or NUP49 gene. ORF G1642 shares some identity with a hypothetical protein of Caenorhabditis elegans, while the other four ORFs show no significant homology to known proteins. The sequence has been submitted to the EMBL data library under Accession Number X84705.  相似文献

We report the sequence of a 7941 bp DNA fragment from the left arm of chromosome VII of Saccharomyces cerevisiae which contains four open reading frames (ORFs) of greater than 100 amino acid residues. ORF biC834 shows 100% bp identity with the recently identified multicopy suppressor gene of the pop2 mutation (MPT5); its deduced protein product carries an eight-repeat domain region, homologous to that found in the hypothetical regulatory YGL023 protein of S. cerevisiae and the Pumilio protein of Drosophila. ORF biE560 protein exhibits patterns typical of serine/threonine protein kinases, with which it shares high degrees of homology. The complete nucleotide sequence was submitted to the EMBL Data Library under Accession Number X83690.  相似文献

MSB2 was identified previously as a multicopy suppressor of a temperature-sensitive mutation in CDC24, a gene required for polarity establishment and bud formation in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The inferred MSB2 product contains 1306 amino acids, 42% of which are Ser or Thr. Its Ser+Thr-richness and hydrophobicity profile suggest that Msb2p may be an integral membrane protein containing a long, periplasmic, N-terminal domain and a short, cytoplasmic, C-terminal domain. Cells that lack MSB2 display no obvious mutant phenotypes. MSB2 is located between the centromere and KSS1 on the right arm of chromosome VII. Although physical mapping suggests that MSB2 and LEU1 (on the left arm of chromosome VII) are approximately 40 kb apart, the genetic map distance observed between leu1 and an msb2::URA3 marker was only 2.3 cM.  相似文献

定时信号灯交叉口是目前城市中最常见的交叉口类型之一,行驶在城市道路上的车辆由于受到交叉口信号灯的约束而造成延误,不稳定的行驶速度和停车等待所产生的排放和能耗不符合当前节能减排和"低碳出行"的要求.随着技术的不断发展,智能车路已经越来越多地应用到解决交通问题中,VII的出现使得车路之间的关系更加协调.论文基于VII的交通环境,面向提高通行效率和节能减排,提出了一种新的定时信号灯交叉口车辆通行引导策略,针对城市主次路交叉口主路车辆延误和排放问题进行深入分析,提高主路车辆的行程时间同时减少了排放和能耗.利用基于VISSIM的COM端口编写的仿真程序并进行评价,优化效果明显.  相似文献

A vehicle conflict detection and resolution method is proposed based on the concept of vehicle infrastructure integration ( Ⅶ) system to prevent vehicle accident beforehand at blind crossing. After analyzing traffic conflict characteristics and vehicle collision scenarios at intersection,a vehicle dynamics model and an intervehicle communication method are discussed. In the inter-vehicle communication environment,the relative relationship between two encountered vehicles are designed. Then vehicle conflict detection and resolution algorithms under two conflict scenarios are put forward to represent the conflict-free movements of vehicles with adjusting vehicle velocity at crossing. Finally,simulation studies are carried out and the results prove that the proposed algorithms are effective for vehicle conflict resolution at blind crossing.  相似文献
