Interpolating climatic variables such as rainfall is challenging due to the highly variable nature of meteorological processes, the effects of terrain and geography, and the difficulty in establishing a representative network of stations. While interpolation models are being adapted to include these effects, often the rainfall data contain significant gaps in coverage. In this paper, we evaluated rainfall data from an agro-ecological monitoring network for producing maps of total monthly rainfall in Sri Lanka. We compared four spatial interpolation techniques: inverse distance weighting, thin-plate splines, ordinary kriging, and Bayesian kriging. Error metrics were used to validate interpolations against independent data. Satellite data were used to assess the spatial pattern of rainfall. Results indicated that Bayesian kriging and splines performed best in low and high rainfall, respectively. Rainfall maps generated from the agro-ecological network were found to have accuracies consistent with previous studies in Sri Lanka. 相似文献

Soil organic matter dynamics are essential for terrestrial ecosystem functions as they affect biogeochemical cycles and, thus, the provision of plant nutrients or the release of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. Most of the involved processes are driven by microorganisms. To investigate and understand these processes, individual-based models allow analyzing complex microbial systems' behavior based on rules and conditions for individual entities within these systems, taking into account local interactions and individual variations. Here, we present a streamlined, user-friendly and open version of the individual-based model INDISIM-SOM, which describes the mineralization of soil carbon and nitrogen. It was implemented in NetLogo, a widely used and easily accessible software platform especially designed for individual-based simulation models. Including powerful means to observe the model behavior and a standardized documentation, this increases INDISIM-SOM's range of potential uses and users, and facilitates the exchange among soil scientists as well as between different modeling approaches. 相似文献

In this survey article, we first introduce the concept of quasi-coincidence of a fuzzy interval value with an interval valued fuzzy set. This concept is a generalized concept of quasi-coincidence of a fuzzy point within a fuzzy set. By using this new idea, we consider the interval valued (∈,∈∨q)-fuzzy sub-hypernear-rings (hyperideals) of a hypernear-ring, and hence, a generalization of a fuzzy sub-near-ring (ideal) is given. Some related properties of fuzzy hypernear-rings are described. Finally, we consider the concept of implication-based interval valued fuzzy sub-hypernear-rings (hyperideals) in a hypernear-ring, in particular, the implication operators in Lukasiewicz system of continuous-valued logic are discussed. 相似文献

This paper studies the problem of state feedback control of continuous-time T-S fuzzy systems. Switched fuzzy controllers are exploited in the control design, which are switched based on the values of membership functions, and the control scheme is an extension of the parallel distributed compensation (PDC) scheme. Sufficient conditions for designing switched state feedback controllers are obtained with meeting an H∞ norm bound requirement and quadratic D stability constraints. It is shown that the new control design method provides less conservative results than the corresponding ones via the parallel distributed compensation (PDC) scheme. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 相似文献

We present an unbiased method for generating caustic lighting using importance sampled Path Tracing with Caustic Forecasting. Our technique is part of a straightforward rendering scheme which extends the Illumination by Weak Singularities method to allow for fully unbiased global illumination with rapid convergence. A photon shooting preprocess, similar to that used in Photon Mapping, generates photons that interact with specular geometry. These photons are then clustered, effectively dividing the scene into regions which will contribute similar amounts of caustic lighting to the image. Finally, the photons are stored into spatial data structures associated with each cluster, and the clusters themselves are organized into a spatial data structure for fast searching. During rendering we use clusters to decide the caustic energy importance of a region, and use the local photons to aid in importance sampling, effectively reducing the number of samples required to capture caustic lighting. 相似文献

In this paper we present a practical, simple and robust method to acquire the spatially‐varying illumination of a real‐world scene. The basic idea of the proposed method is to acquire the radiance distribution of the scene using high‐dynamic range images of two reflective balls. The use of two light probes instead of a single one allows to estimate, not only the direction and intensity of the light sources, but also the actual position in space of the light sources. To robustly achieve this goal we first rectify the two input spherical images, then, using a region‐based stereo matching algorithm, we establish correspondences and compute the position of each light. The radiance distribution so obtained can be used for augmented reality applications, photo‐realistic rendering and accurate reflectance properties estimation. The accuracy and the effectiveness of the method have been tested by measuring the computed light position and rendering synthetic version of a real object in the same scene. The comparison with standard method that uses a simple spherical lighting environment is also shown. 相似文献

This paper presents a systematic study of light interferences at single thin films. Based on Fresnel's law, we have derived generic expressions of reflectance and transmittance for film interference, as well as specific expressions for free thin films and films coated on transparent or opaque objects. By combining film interference and volume absorption, we have obtained the reflectances and transmittances of film‐coated thin objects such as ribbons. Illumination models for all interference cases of single thin films are presented, and they have been implemented and tested for various structures and materials. 相似文献
