A novel gel network polymer electrolyte based on polysiloxane with internal plasticizing PEO chains was applied in fabricating solid-state dye-sensitized TiO2 photoelectrochemical cells. Ethylene carbonate (EC)/propylene carbonate (PC) and LiI/I2 were added as liquid plasticizer to improve the performance. The cells showed open circuit voltage of 0.69 V and short circuit current density of 1.7 mA cm–2 under 28 mW cm–2 white light illumination. The energy conversion efficiencies and fill factors of the cells were 2.9% and 0.72. 相似文献

The preparation of dense membranes for ion separation by the electropolymerization of functionalized pyrrole has been carried out using pyrrole monomers with complexing groups such as amino and bis pyridine. The synthesis conditions of polymer films depend mainly on the applied potential and electrolyte composition; for polymer films derived from pyrrole monomers bearing amino groups, the film synthesis has been achieved only in acid solution. The main results obtained for the electropolymerization of N-(2-cyanoethyl)pyrrole, N-(3-aminopropyl)pyrrole, N-(3-acetamidopropyl)pyrrole and N-[3-(dimethylpyridyl-2-yl)aminopropyl]pyrrole are compared and the experimental conditions for membrane preparation discussed. The thickness and the morphology of the supported conducting polymer membrane prepared at a constant potential depend on the precursor monomer used. The duration of electrolysis should be sufficient to cover the metallic support, particularly for the N-[3-(dimethylpyridyl-2-yl)aminopropyl]pyrrole polymer membrane. 相似文献

U‐Polymer, a kind of polyarylate, was synthesized by interfacial polycondensation method with terephthaloyl chloride (TPC), isophthaloyl chloride (IPC), and bisphenol A (BPA) as raw materials. The structure of the U‐Polymer was characterized by IR and 1H–NMR spectra. Then, an amorphous poly(ethylene terephthalate) (APET) was prepared with the introduction of the U‐Polymer to the PET sequence to improve thermal and mechanical behaviors of PET via the polymerization process. The structure and property of the APET were characterized by DSC and DMA. The results showed that the APET exhibits amorphism, transparency, higher glass‐transition temperature (Tg), and higher storage modulus than that of PET. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Polymer alloys and blends, whose major advantage is the potential of achieving a range of physical and mechanical properties, have continued to be a subject of interest over recent years. Addition of a block or graft copolymer, with chemically similar segments to those involved in the polymer blend considered, led to a variety of desirable properties. The copolymer added to the blend functioned to promote a homogeneous dispersion of the constituent phases and to enhance their mutual adhesion. Such agents that enable better dispersion in polymer blends are known as compatibilizers. In this study an attempt has been made to improve the compatibility in a polymer blend composed of two normally incompatible constituents, LDPE and PA6, by addition of a compatibilizer. The compatibilizer agent, ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), was added to the polymer blend in ratios of 1, 5, and 10% by using a twin‐screw extruder. The effect of EVA on the crystallization of the polymer constituents was observed through DSC examinations. Furthermore, the control sample and all three blends of LDPE/PA6/EVA were subjected to examinations to obtain their yield and tensile strengths, elasticity modulus, percentage elongation, izod impact strength, hardness, and melt flow index. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
