The integration of a model for longitudinal hydroacoustic fluid damping in thin hydraulic pipes in 3D finite element models is presented in this paper. In order to perform quantitative prediction of the vibroacoustic behavior and resulting noise levels of such fluid-structure coupled system due to hydraulic excitation, an accurate frequency-dependent fluid damping model including friction effects near the pipe wall is required. This step is achieved by matching complex wave numbers from analytical derivation into a parameterized damped wave equation and consecutive translation into finite element modeling.Since the friction effect close to the pipe wall changes locally with the inner pipe radius, the fluid damping model is applied segment-wise in order to model the influence of cross-sectional discontinuity, such as orifices, on the oscillating pressure pulsations. A component synthesis approach, which uses pipe segments as substructures, allows a simple model generation and fast computation times.The numerical harmonic results are compared to experimental frequency response functions, which are performed on a hydraulic test bench driven by a dynamic pressure source in the kHz-range. 相似文献

The effect of Coriolis and centrifugal forces on the propagation characteristics of surface acoustic waves (SAW) on a rotating piezoelectric substrate can be utilized for sensing rotation rate. In this paper, the relationship between SAW phase velocity and the rotation rate of the substrate is analyzed theoretically and numerically based on the coupling wave equations on anisotropic piezoelectric substrate with rotation effect. Partial wave theory and surface effective permittivity method are employed. Using LiNbO3 as an example, some quantitative results of SAW rotation rate sensor, including free and metalized interfaces between substrate and free space in X-cuts, Y-cuts, and Z-cuts, are obtained. Furthermore, by considering comprehensively SAW rotation rate sensitivity with SAW excitation efficiency and beam steering, the optimum cut orientation of piezoelectric substrate and propagation direction of SAW for rotation rate sensor are presented. The objective of this research was to investigate the possibility of reducing the sizes of dyadic wavelet transform processor and dyadic wavelet inverse-transform processor using surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices. The motivation for this work was prompted by these processors which are of large sizes. Although these processors are being used, many fields need small size processors, so this work proposes two novel methods of reducing the sizes of these processors: firstly, the architecture which is that various interdigital transducers (IDTs) stand in a line is used to reduce the sizes of these processors. In this architecture, when the electrode-pairs numbers of various IDTs are larger than 20, the bulk acoustic wave (BAW) is eliminated, so this architecture cannot only reduce the sizes of these processors, but also eliminate BAW; secondly, as long as the electrode-overlap envelopes of IDTs will weaken fast with time t, the sizes of these processors are also reduced. 相似文献
